This is something I was thinking about the other day when playing Red Dead Redemption for the first time in a long while. Red Dead has some of the most realistic walking animations I've seen in any game. Looks real, BUT the animations are pretty slow and the controls seem sluggish. In order to change direction when walking you usually need to walk around in a circle. When walking up tight staircases and trying to get through doors it can be a bit of a pain and you end up just scraping along the wall. The same thing happens in GTA 4, especially in buildings, or for example when running around on top of a container or something. You're always running the risk of running off the side when trying to turn around. Personally I would rather see less realistic animations with less realistic movement. For example if I'm running right and I need to change and turn left, I'd rather run to the left almost instantly, without needing to see a slow down animation followed by him turning around and picking up speed. Bit of a minor issue, but compared to games like inFamous, or even GTA 3, I find the movement controls and animations in the next gen Rockstar games to be fairly sluggish for lack of a better word. They look great, but I'd rather they were smooth and quick than slow and realistic looking. Anyone else have any thoughts?

TBH, after playing SA again, I don't even really like Sweet. He gets his stupid ass thrown in jail, and CJ is forced to flee Los Santos. He goes on to make powerful friends, take down over half of Smoke's drug ring, learns to fly, co-own a Casino, become manager to a famous rap star, and to top it all off puts his life on the line in order to get Sweet out of jail. And after Sweet is released and CJ tells him all about the great things hes done Sweets only response is to belittle CJ for thinking big, says CJ always runs away from his problems and doesn't think about the hood ever. Skip to 2:27. Fuck the hood! CJ basically co-owns half of San Fierro and Las Venturas at this point and all Sweet cares about is that run-down little side street and even has the nerve to feel sorry for himself in like his second mission out. The goddamned self-absorbed jackass.

I agree with this, and I do think it will be bigger than San Andreas since they said "the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created." I think Los Santos will be at least 3x the size it was in San Andreas, and I think they will also include Mt. Chiliad from what I can see in the trailer. "Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California. " Possibility of another famous town in SoCal... San Diego? I think that would fit perfectly, a parody of San Diego just south of Los Santos, which would be big enough for an airport etc... "Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches" This means there is countryside, possibly even desert as seen in the trailer, and that creates a large possibility of small villages/towns like Blueberry fro San Andreas.
