If you look around the web for updates on Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto V as often as I do you may be forgiven for thinking the GTA community has gotten tired and seriously pissed off waiting for Rockstar to release the next piece of official news. 'Fans' calling for a boycott of Rockstar Games, 'fans' complaining that Rockstar failed to fulfill their 'promise to release more info in a few months', 'fans' flooding every Rockstar Newswire article (prompting R* to pin the below statement) saying "No one cares about Max Payne 3" etc etc.
The reality is these 'fans' are in the minority. Let's say, as an example, 20 million gamers are looking forward to getting their hands on GTA V, now that's a lot of people - how many of these are actually doing the complaining and how many are actually getting on with their lives by going outside, going to work, socialising with friends and enjoying other games such as Max Payne 3?
The fact is the majority, the huge majority of people looking forward to GTA V are quite happy to get on with their lives happy in the knowledge that Rockstar will release further information when they're ready to do so, and not before.
Rockstar did not 'promise' anything, they said:
Although some of us find a lot of the whinging amusing this minority are doing their best to ruin what should be a time of enjoying Rockstar's game of the moment - Max Payne 3. Not only that but these few are attempting to disrupt every GTA V thread on various forums including the ones here at iGTA5.com.
I think it's time the real fans began ignoring the few spoiled whingers who think Rockstar works for them and owes them a 'life'.
The next piece of official GTA V news will come when they're ready, and not before. No amount of whinging or threats will make Rockstar 'cave in' to your demands before they're ready. The release of info will begin flowing according to Rockstar's timetable - not yours.
There are plenty of GTA V topics to get involved with and help pass the time here in the GTA V forums, stop crying and join in.
