1 pointI agree with OPx in that this is not a realistic idea for a game at all. It's also the dumbest business strategy as well. I wouldn't spend $180 on three games of basically the same shit, go here, kill them, blow them up, etc. released in a 9 month window; just for a change in scenery. "No, bro, you'd be in LV and it would be a continuation of the game". Yes, that's called a fucking sequel. "Okay, well it would be like an expansion, on another disc that you can play with the original game, but you have to have the new disc to download it." Disc-DLC of enormous size, sure I guess that's possible, but you're charging full retail price? No thanks, I'll play something else. You're basically asking if we will keep buying GTA games if they are released? Or is there some stupid parameter I am missing.
-
1 pointYou could still play the games individually without installing them, and would basically be installing just the map...so it would be possible... The only xbox that doesnt have room for three disks is the xbox arcade version.. All the other ones are atleast 20 gigs... It would be annoying and stupid to have three games that are meant to be seamless split up into three separate disks and disk switching. Also even those with 20 GB will have other games on their 360. Also movies and TV shows and DLC etc. 2 whole games take up a lot of room. Also how would Rockstar even advertise this? 3 month gaps between the releases isn't long at all. The DLC for IV took 9 months before the TLaD came out, and 8 months after that for TBoGT, and those are much smaller then what you're talking about here. You're not being very realistic here, which just make the whole idea of weather or not anyone would want to buy it kinda stupid because it's a situation that will never, ever, exist. Lol he's just asking you to imagine it happened. He's not saying it would or will.
-
1 pointWow, that is a stupid idea...and one unlike anything Rockstar has ever done or is ever likely to do. So no. No I wouldn't. Because Rockstar never would either. -EDIT- Besides it's impossible. Some people don't have HDDs big enough for 2 extra games to be installed on their system, and Microsoft still requires all games to be playable on the 360 without hard drive installs, so you couldn't even do what you're talking about in the first place.

1 pointThe amount of whining coming from spoiled little brats is getting on my tits. Not only on fan sites like this one but on every article on Rockstar's Newswire too. Comments like "We don't care about crappy Max Payne 3 just give us GTA V news now!" are a complete waste of time and prove these idiots lack the brain cells required to add anything of interest for the rest of us to read. Try using your brain to think of something constructive to say or just don't say anything at all. Rockstar aren't going to give in to your apron string pulling like your mother probably does every time you scream at her for an ice cream. Grow up!

1 pointYa, and it depends on what places are included in the game. if there is a desert, id expect to see desert homes like in GTA SA, and same goes for san fierro too. they could learn alot by their previous games what we like and dont like.
-
1 pointThe next GTA will no doubt be in the next gen, I think they'll probably skip LV and SF and do a new Vice City... Just saying.
-
1 pointperhaps towns like blueberry, angel pine and palomino creek are actually decent sized towns this go around... i wouldn't mind being restricted to those places and the country for a while before los santos is available... but it's so early in the reveal to be talking about this... we still don't know what's out there besides los santos, a river and a mountain...
-
1 pointI am a fan of this idea. reminds me of the start of another game i love... i suspect the entire map is open if it's just los santos and the surrounding countryside and towns... or if they really want to, they could make los santos an island and like fitty said, perhaps cut off by a river and restricted... but why would they keep you out of the biggest city they ever created for a 3rd of the game while you hunted in the woods for 6 hours?? i highly doubt they're going to restrict the map this time...
-
1 pointI think you will start in the country. Your shot, dragged out to the countryside and dumped with the sole goal of seeking vengeance on the person responsible for shooting... Which, btw, is the guy from the first trailer....the speach on the trailer is what he says before shooting you..
-
1 pointYou my friend, should try out the game "Sleeping Dogs" it's exactly what you suggested, also in an open sandbox world. I also think that is a great idea, really hope vaulting and climbing is incorporated.
-
1 pointI miss shopping malls. I liked the mission in Vice City. LA has plenty of malls, and i think we need to see more enterable shops. Even if it's an outdoor style shopping district...
-
1 pointn0 l04d1n9 5cr33n5 pl0x? Just kidding, but that would be great. Anyway, I really hope there are a variety of safehouses like in San Andreas. From penthouses and mansions to rundown apartments in the projects, rife with crime.
-
1 pointI just hope they allow us to have at least 1 big mansion with big garages at some point in the game. I really hope R* learned from gta4's terrible safe house system....

1 pointDefinitely not Ned Luke, thank god. I'd much rather play a hispanic guy than another white guy. III, VC, LCS, IV and TLAD where all white guys. It's not much, but the guy climbing the truck seems to have the same shirt as the guy parachuting, and they seem to have a similar skin tone. I guess it's the same guy. He also appears to be the guy driving the car. The guy in the plane also has a dark skin tone. Also the guy with the (AK?) has a dark skin tone again, yet he appears to be bald leading me to believe he's a different character, or you can get haircuts. I have no idea. The mini laptop I'm currently on isn't great for viewing photos, tomorrow I'll finally be back on my 17" I wonder what Rockstar have in store, many screenshots seem to feature Ned Luke yet others feature other common characters. Will definitely be interesting to see.

1 pointYeah I hated how if you helped a cop catch a guy he would start shooting you, and when you killed someone with no witnesses the police would automatically find out and turn up within 20 seconds. Things like that need improving imo.

1 pointI keep changing my mind as to which is my favourite over the years... As I mature, so does my memories, and I think I have came to the conclusion that they're all my favourite. Every GTA is an elements of the same game type after all. They're like chapters rather than individual books for example. I know they don't all relate, but that's how I see it anyway. What ever provokes a memory of a GTA game at that time, will probably make that my favourite for a while, and then I'll probably go play it for a bit... Oh how i love GTA.

1 pointNo. No, no, no, no, nonononononono. And furthermore: NO! It's pointless, stupid, and adds nothing. What would prison do? Break the flow of the story if you're into that, and break the flow of gameplay six ways from Sunday. They tried it in Mafia II and I didn't like it then, and I wouldn't like it now if Rockstar shoehorned it into GTA V.
-
1 pointi seriously think cops should be more realistic because in gta 4 i pulled over to see what would happen and sometimes they wouldnt get out of the car they would just ram me
-
1 pointK9's, tasers, riot gear, tyre punctures, truncheons/knight sticks, CS gas They should actually try and engage in some sort of combat, it would be brilliant if when they are in groups they try to hold you down while they arrest, it would be like an episode of cops xD

1 pointI got bored of the grim grey feeling of GTA 4 very quickly so I have to agree with the concept of desert vs the lush green forests
