Oh, I forgot the screens will be separate, clickable images. Yeah, I'll have the whole thing. Not sure if we're free to post scans in a news story, but I'll post them here and face the wrath of GI myself, putting no responsibility on the site.

I have just been struck by a rather sexy thought, ACIII could keep me going until GTA V's eventual release.

Except the analogy is there to illustrate how the games contrast with each other (in a very general sense), the games needn't be identical in tone to the films for the analogy to stand up. Anyway this is getting way off-topic so I'll just leave it there and agree to disagree. I would say the " very general sense " of contrast between Saints Row and Tarantino is so general that it is incomparable and totally implausible. Also this whole discussion started off with Massacre making an assertion that a previous poster's analogy was shit ( of little value ) compared to his, of which he then gave. Now you're all defending him saying an analogy can be very broad in it's sense and be different in tone which seems to be opposed with Massacre's statement that the other member's post was invalid, and you liked his comment Edgecrusher so what is it, do you agree with Massacre or with the last post you made ( don't be afraid to kiss a little more ass ). This is analogy's definition ie; a comparison of two different things similarities ( small or vast ). Yet I didn't see you defending the other lower ranking member. Funny That

If you base it on critical reception and not style, content, and atmosphere, then sure, you're right. My analogy is valid. Pretty much what I was about to post. Tarantino films are highly stylised and purposefully OTT (ala Saints Row) in tone whereas Scorsese films are more subtle and gritty (GTA). Seems a fair analogy to me. Except the only really gritty GTA was GTA lV. Was 1, 2, 3, Vice City, San Andreas, Both VC & LC Stories and Chinatown Wars? And Saints Row is Over-The -Top like Tarantinos Movies, but it is also completely ridiculous with little to no underlying subtext to drive it's story and themes. This is very different to Tarantino's movies which have a rich subtext rife with double entendres and hidden meanings, polished with ulta suave & cool pop-culture music, clothing design, set design, original characters and themes ( some are borrowed ). Tarantino is also a great writer of screenplay's with plenty of great memorable lines that are very off-the-cuff and original ( he incourages alot of improvisation from the actors ), which is very different to Saint Row's Unoriginal Toilet Humour, and basic dialogue ( it's only a game but ). It's also a little bit unfair to say that a director only has one particular style. One of the most important goals for many directors is to always try something new with each and every movie they make. Scorsese has had more time ( since the 60's/ 70's ) to make a more consumate dirctorial library, he is 69 by the way, and is starting into the twilight of his film making career. Whereas Tarantino is only 49 and has plenty of time to try different approaches to his craft. He has already made movies like Jackie Brown for instance that are more reminiscent of an older and more experienced director, and that was only his third film. I expect great movies from him in the future. Even with his lackluster ( compared to his older films ) latest entries.

I was going to save this until I finished the full cover but this hurricane coming up the east coast is taking my time away:

I don't really like dogs anyway, too loud and you have to take them out for walks. Every cunt has a dog 'round here and they just leave them out in the garden barking for half the day, sometimes I feel like going over and cutting the bloody things voiceboxes out or giving them a good punt in the jaw. More the owners fault, they are fucking idiots. One of the dogs here is called Tyson, the owner must be a real hardnut.

Agree and Disagree. It was a big disappointment in terms of customization ( I wanted my crib customization from SR2 ), and the side missions were pretty repetitive and boring ( what happened to the Septic Avenger Missions in SR2; remembers spraying shit all over the buildings, people and cars and watching the smelly mayhem created ). Really I think THQ got very lazy and decided they were going to release a half finished game, and ended up selling shit that was supposed to be in the original game as DLC. SR3's Main Missions were the highlight and probably the best of the series. But after maybe a week and a half of completing the main in-game stuff I traded it in. I hope THQ makes a bit more of an effort next time and crams SR4 full of cutomization and features. This isn't Black ops hahaha! Yeah I know GTA is not COD. But I think Rockstar could make a great Co-Op Horde Mode with waves of enemy gangs/police/army ( it doesn't have to be zombies ). And it would be better than Black Ops Zombies because you have the entire city to choose where to make your stand. Plus there could be 10, 20 hell even more players working together at the same time ( could you imagine the mayhem and destruction it would be great ). Ha, I think Tarantino is a little better than Saints Row. So I would say this is a shit analogy as well ( no offence ). While the Saints Row Series is a good bunch of games. Tarantino is one of the Masters of cinema, and I would say ( plus alot of Critics and the General Public ) he is equal to Scorsese. Just take a look at the Movies, Reservior Dogs is equal to Mean Streets. Pulp Fiction is almost equal to Taxi Driver ( in my opinion, even though Taxi Driver is my favourite Movie ). True Romance & Jackie Brown are equal to Goodfellas & Casino. Kill Bill is probably equal to The Departed. But than again after Inglorious Basterds & Death Proof Tarantino is running out of movies, where as Scorsese still has New York New York, Raging Bull, Cape Fear, Gangs of New York etc. Even though their movies take somewhat different approaches, both retain exemplary quality. Unlike Saints Row and GTA, where GTA is obviously the more quality product. Look at Saints Row 1 compared to GTA 3, Saints Row 2 compared to GTA Vice City/ San Andreas, Saints Row 3 compared to GTA lV. It's not even comparable really is it?

That is a shit comparison. Saints Row is to GTA as Tarantino is to Scorsese.

The real life LAPD issues Glocks as standard (I believe graduates are issued either the 22 or 17) so safe money would be on a Glock being featured as it is a ubiquitous police gun (and cops get killed a lot in GTA). Deagle is also a safe bet (as stated above, everyone loves a Deagle) but I'd like to see the Auto-Mag from TBOGT return as IMO it is cooler than a Deagle. A revolver should be featured (country cop/sheriff could carry a revolver and I'd assume gangs would carry them as they're cheaper [again, I assume]) and I'd like to see the Ruger GP100, but I love revolvers, so will be happy with anything. SMG's; Uzi/Micro Uzi, MP5 (or derivative) and something like a Tec-9, would like to see the FN P-90 or MP7. As for shotguns, I predict the usual sawn off (either straight SxS sawn off or a "cruiser" model pump), a police issue semi auto (again, I believe the LAPD issue/use the Benelli M4 Super 90) and then something with the "cool" factor like the AA-12, Pancor Jackhammer or Saiga 12. Rifles: too many I'd love to see, but predicting AK47/AK74, M4 (again, LAPD issue) Sniper Rifles: usual suspects, Remington 700 (as featured in GTAIII, VC, SA and GTAIV) and the H&K PSG1, would like to see the DSR return as well as something like a Chey-Tac or AWM. I'd expect to see the RPG-7 return, but maybe Rock* will mix it up with something like a LAW-80 or M20A2 FLASH, also maybe some form of anti-air launcher such as the Stinger or Starstreak system. Sorry for the few wishes in the list, but these are what I'd predict Also, as an afterthought, whilst the LAPD issue Glocks, I believe officers can choose to carry from an approved list, and obviously gangs carry a variety of pistols and SMG's, so there's a lot of potential.

Saints Row is a brilliant series, not selling as many copies as GTA (few games do) doesn't make it any less so. Don't be fanboys, kiddies.

Rockstar does not need to compete with saints row. At all.

Yeah, gta 4 wouldnt work for a co op focused game, but if they set out to make gta 5 a co op game missions could be tailored for multiple protagonists coexisting at the same time.. At first i wasn't excited about this, but its looking more interesting, each time i think about it... Youd just have to have good partners....

I think the opportunity to play as either single player or co-op with up to 4 players would be great. I'd obviously play through the story alone first just to get maximum immersion from it. But i do not oppose a co-op story one bit. I think it would make playing GTA with friends a lot more fun, and would probably entice some people into completing the game more than once or twice, that may not have otherwise... Saying that, i don't think local co-op is a viable option, it'd most likely be online co-op if at all... As long as you could have private games with friends, i'd play it.

Im hoping they made a bold change in the multiplayer department because honestly i don't give a fuck about GTA multiplayer. i get GTA for the solo experiance.

i want gta to stay the same as its always been at its core gameplay. single player. keep co-op for the online section of the game. i'd be disappointed if it moved entirely to a co op game,
  23. 1 point
No no no no no!!!!!! If they make GTA V a Co-Op game i will be pissed! They need to just stick to what they've been doing. if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Nevada Skies replaces the textures for the sky and clouds with something more realistic and better-looking, and changes the lighting (more realistic lighting, darker nights, etc.). Imaginator has various filters that alter lighting and colors for different feels. There's one that makes everything dark and shrouded in a green haze, for example. There's another that makes the lighting brown and everything looks dusty; that's the one I use. Nevada Skies quit working for me, though. Either Old World Blues or Lonesome Road broke everything with a custom texture.

It means it will be thier cover issue. That means GTA V artwork on the cover and about a 10 page summary of what he saw plus exclusive pics. Awesome. Now I can't wait for December.
