6 pointsI don't get what R* did wrong. They said the game would be released in Spring. They just didn't say which one. Southern Hemispheric Spring is the one true spring. About time you Northern heathens acknowledged that.
-
5 pointsWe need a new Guess the Release Date contest, cause I can almost guarantee that Sept 17/13 won't be it.
-
5 pointsThis is bullshit. Spring my ass. The worst part is that new artwork they put out in stores just the other fucking day still said spring!
-
4 points229 days to go! at least we got a release date... isn't that wat so many people wanted, now you got it
-
3 pointsBTW No one won our release date contest now. The entries go from August 27 to October 3rd. No one chose September 2013 at all.

-
2 pointsWe are sorry to inform you that GTA V will no longer be available for PS3 or Xbox360, due to complications it has been made available only for the next generation of consoles. Btw, we have to delay the game to spring 2014. Kthxbye
-
2 pointsI wonder with Sony and Microsoft releasing next gen console info at e3 this year if gta 5 will still be relevant. Why release a trailer for a game a full two years away from release.
-
2 pointsIt's kind of a No-Win situation when you try to work on a game, then you have a bunch of fans clamoring on your newswire, youtube page, and sending coutnless e-mails to your game support addresses, screaming for information and trailers. So, you decide to give them an estimated release date on when you're confident the game will be done -- then things go a bit wrong or not go through the way you plan it, and now you have those same people even more angry that you said there will be a Spring release but you had to push it back a few months. I just have even more respect for Rockstar with the way they handle this. I would've handled it way different. I would've updated the newswire with:

2 pointsjesus i was in grade 10 when trailer one came out i'l be in grade 12 when the game comes out i never thought i would get my license before gta v came out but it will still be the best damn game in the history of games.

2 pointsIt'd take more then 4 extra months to add in an entire new city. too bad............ we're getting the biggest open world game Rockstar have ever made. and you STILL want an extra city... never happy.

2 pointsClearly, GTA V needs at least 6 Dubstep stations, a rap station hosted by Nicki Minaj, and a 24/7 Blood On The Dancefloor station. But seeing as we won't get that, my other current choices for station genres are: Brutal Death/Grindcore (Anal Cunt, Dying Fetus, Carcass, Cattle Decapitation) Soul - Old and New (Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, D'Angelo) Progressive Rock

1 pointRockstar Games released this Press release also Los Santos: a sprawling sun-soaked metropolis full of self-help gurus, starlets and fading celebrities, once the envy of the Western world, now struggling to stay afloat in an era of economic uncertainty and cheap reality TV. Amidst the turmoil, three very different criminals plot their own chances of survival and success: Franklin, a former street gangster, now looking for real opportunities and serious money; Michael, a professional ex-con whose retirement is a lot less rosy than he hoped it would be; and Trevor, a violent maniac driven by the chance of a cheap high and the next big score. Running out of options, the crew risks everything in a series of daring and dangerous heists that could set them up for life. "Grand Theft Auto V continues to push the series forward in new ways; Rockstar North are creating our deepest, most beautiful and most immersive world yet," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We are very excited for people to learn more about the game in the coming months." The September release date moves the launch back from its original projected release window of spring 2013 in order to allow additional development time. The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world Rockstar Games has yet created, Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game's three lead characters, playing all sides of the game's interwoven story. All the classic hallmarks of the groundbreaking series return, including incredible attention to detail and Grand Theft Auto's darkly humorous take on modern culture, alongside a brand new and ambitious approach to open world multiplayer." 1 pointHow long was the GTA IV delay? Wasn't it from like August/October 2007-April 2008? But anyway you should think a billion dollar company should learn from their mistakes, especially ones they repeat and have been making for 6 years (or more)

1 pointis something myself (me in this video) and a few friends do for fun in GTAIV. (using NO CHEATS/MODS!) This should have been a mission for the game for Brucie. It's quite challenging, TRY IT!The Challenge? Starting a new game and take Roman to the apartment. When it lets you into the world for the first time steal the Sultan RS turbo by driving any car/truck/motorcycle you can steal and drive up to the Alderney Mansion for the Sultan RS (hidden car in the top corner of the map two locked levels up) and returning safely to the original safe house. (NO CHEATS!, no swimming, no taxi rides or subways, no choppers, no boats, no weapons) This was posted originally as a challenge by (or to?) Moss_27 on a gaming forum a while ago. River owns you. ps: All the music on video is original by me.

1 pointYes, it sucks that we won't be getting the game as soon as we expected (though we all should have been expecting at least the possibility of a delay). Four months. So what. Creating a game as expansive as Grand Theft Auto is an incredibly arduous task done by a massive staff. It's something none of us can actually imagine. A good friend of mine works for Ubisoft and he's in the office every day of the week (including weekends when a big title is being developed), and he often doesn't leave until like 9 or 10 at night. These people dedicate their lives to making the games we love, and we should show them more appreciation for sacrificing their time, social lives, and sanity. They don't do it because they only care about money. They make these games because we love them, and they love them as much as we do. Have some respect and don't bitch about a measley four months. These people have had no lives for 5 years so that we get the game they think we deserve. So, in other words, shut the fuck up and be patient.

1 pointThis isn't really about GTA V, but about other games. Therefore: moved to Other Games! (also...Bioshock Infinite)
-
1 pointThis is Rockstar, so none of us can really act surprised. I love all the comments on the Newswire: "You just lost a fan! I'm cancelling my pre-order!" Well, no, you're not. V is going to be an epic game, and bouncing it from spring to fall doesn't change that. We're all still going to line up to buy the game, and saying otherwise is disingenuous. I wasn't holding my breath for a spring release. I won't be surprised if it misses the September target, either, wailing and gnashing of teeth notwithstanding.
-
1 pointWe need to protest a eariler release , they have been working on it since Gta 4 , I also recommend people to cancel preorder if possible , 229 days is way too long
-
1 pointWell thanks to you rockstar this is for you lol this smiley make me crack up everytime
-
1 pointI am so sad right now, because i was looking foward to it and now its all gone :'(. This was highlight of my spring and my biggest plan for summer. But there is an idea that this is pc version and that R* is just messing wiht us. I am from croatia, so I am sorry for my english
-
1 pointIt's getting scary with Rockstar so silent about it. Hoping they're just fucking with us. Going to be a lot of pissed off people if nothing happens in the next few hours.
-
1 pointyes there's no explicit date given, but they said spring 2013 and if it comes fall 2013 thats sure enough a delay EDIT: oh... I'm late... nvm
-

1 pointJanuary ends in less than 24 hours, Rockstar... TIC-TOC MOTHERFUCKER.
-
1 pointI was very disappointed when Wayward Son didn't make it into TL&D so I hope it'll be in GTAV.
-
1 pointShit! I just reached my like quota I'm hoping for 3 times as much talk radio in GTAV that there was in GTAIV. Lazlo, Martin Serious, that judge from the divorce show. I'm also crossing my fingers for that bitter couple from SA to make a return. Talk radio is probably what I listen to the most in any GTA game. Come on, Lazlo! Make meh proud.

1 pointI think of this everytime I hear the word pelican. It should be their team song Also, the Grizzlies are getting rid of Gay? WTF
-
1 pointSORRY FAGIT I DONT SPEAK honky A big part of GTA games, for me, is the music. Can't wait to hear V's.
-
1 pointGod, it's gonna be great. Watching the opening cutscenes, listening to the epic piece of sound that they'll have prepared for us. Feeling the warmth of LS radiate off your TV. Meeting everyone for the first time, slowly beginning to think of them like someone you know. Falling in love with Rockstar's thriving, living, breathing meta-worlds all over again. Watching the salt air sway the palm trees and sing as it passes through the desert valleys, over the blades of the mills at the wind farm, through the dense forests...All while groovin' to R*'s soundtrack. God, it's gonna be great. SPRING 2013.

1 pointI can't see them giving a release date for the game. Probably a release date for a third trailer which will have the release date at the end of that. Meaning they gave a release date for the boxart, which gave the release date of the trailer which gave the release date of the game. Fucking rockstar.
-
1 pointI don't think Houser meant the change in mechanics is going to be as drastic as people are making it out to be. It's certainly not going to be like Saints Row's; I felt like you couldn't even tap the control stick without making a 90° turn. I believe he said that there aren't really good quality racing games out there, and he believes GTA V's driving mechanics will be so good, it will rival those games. Not be like them. Plus, by him saying that he felt the cars were "boat-like" in GTA IV, that just leads me to believe Rockstar mostly toned down the sliding a little bit. Judging by trailer #2, I still see all of the cars displaying some good weight to them on hard turns but the sliding is less. Like here: I feel like in GTA IV, this car would've spun out or slid for an extra 3 seconds (if you can handle it good) instead of sliding to a smooth stop the way it did here.

1 pointAlthough I agree most of the music that gets put out today is pretty bad (I blame the internet), I think it's pretty safe to say Rockstar will come through with some pretty good stuff. I don't know who on their staff selects music, but whoever they are, they have good taste. Plus, it's also fair to say Rockstar will have almost as many throwback stations as mainstream. I feel good about the potential current Hip Hop station -- Al has always been a dope producer; I heard last month that Snoop did something; Game already let it be known he worked on it; more recently, my homie in the Bay (although he lies sometimes) told me E-40 liscened a track off. GTA always stays local with its Hip Hop stations, so I expect some Kendrick Lamar, Odd Future, Pac Div, Ab-Soul, Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy. There's some good music in all of those cats. And, there will be a dubstep station -- or at least dubstep being played on an electronic music station. It's fucked up for some, but that's what's hot right now. So it is what it is. I only "wish" for one track to make it, though, just because it feels that good. I play this every night on the drive home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmZ03Q7AoaU
