PS3 numbers caught up with xbox numbers late last year... it all evened out in the end, they just had a rough start to the new gen... as for new consoles this year, i call bullshit... i think both will announce new consoles this year, but neither is willing to give up on this gen just yet with a whole slate of games still left to release... either way, i once again will not be an early buyer... i'll wait it out for a year or two like i did with the PS3... i was thinking though that i might actually wait in line overnight on launch day to buy a few of them, only to sell on ebay to make some $$$$... i'll think about that one...

I'd bet cash money it has nothing to do with the recent spate of mass shootings. It's an M-rated game that's made for adults, and can only be purchased by adults (even if they're giving it to their underage kids). The discussion in Congress said nothing about less blood. The only real concencus was to make laws more strict that allow children to buy adult games. And besides that, no legislation was passed, and I doubt it ever will. You ban violet games, you have to ban violent movies. You have to ban music with violet lyrics. But no, let's not ban fucking semi-automatic rifles! Don't worry, kiddies, GTA V is going to pour the blood down our throats just like we like it. R* wouldn't cowtow to something like that. Yes, they removed some things from GTA III, but that was due to 9/11 and Liberty being based on NYC. As tragic as the Sandy Hook shooting was, 9/11 was fucking . . . well, 9/11. No comparison. And hell, in III you could blow people's heads and limbs off for chrissakes. Also, for those who are worried that it'll be released on next gen, stop. That's idiotic. They've been developing this game since before the new console technology was even designed. Also, they did intend on releasing it in the spring. Doesn't make much sense to release a game for a console that doesn't exist yet.

In TBoGT you play as (about to get racially-bias here) a gay spic named Luis, and in TLAD you play as a badass biker named Johnny. You can't switch between them but you can choose which 1 you wanna play as in the main menu. Niko's story will be on a separate disk if you get the complete edition. But really both TLAD and TBoGT are good games... you really shouldn't play one without the other since they revolve around the same storyline (search for stolen diamonds). Their are some new guns and cars in the expansion games... but they are different in each game.

Of course it's disappointing to get these news after being excited for months, but it would be a lot more devastating if they released a potentially incredible game, but which had so many bugs in graphics and gameplay that the frustration eventually would make you give up the game entirely. Skyrim is one such terrible experience I've had for example.

There is only a certain amount of time that can pass before hype stops being build and simply wears off because people get tired of waiting. Not saying that's happening for GTA V now, but personally I was a lot more excited for GTA V about 2 months ago than I am now.

Yes, it sucks that we won't be getting the game as soon as we expected (though we all should have been expecting at least the possibility of a delay). Four months. So what. Creating a game as expansive as Grand Theft Auto is an incredibly arduous task done by a massive staff. It's something none of us can actually imagine. A good friend of mine works for Ubisoft and he's in the office every day of the week (including weekends when a big title is being developed), and he often doesn't leave until like 9 or 10 at night. These people dedicate their lives to making the games we love, and we should show them more appreciation for sacrificing their time, social lives, and sanity. They don't do it because they only care about money. They make these games because we love them, and they love them as much as we do. Have some respect and don't bitch about a measley four months. These people have had no lives for 5 years so that we get the game they think we deserve. So, in other words, shut the fuck up and be patient.

It's kind of a No-Win situation when you try to work on a game, then you have a bunch of fans clamoring on your newswire, youtube page, and sending coutnless e-mails to your game support addresses, screaming for information and trailers. So, you decide to give them an estimated release date on when you're confident the game will be done -- then things go a bit wrong or not go through the way you plan it, and now you have those same people even more angry that you said there will be a Spring release but you had to push it back a few months. I just have even more respect for Rockstar with the way they handle this. I would've handled it way different. I would've updated the newswire with:

If they are/were lying about the release date, forget about the southern california inuendo... The game must be massive, plus ultra mega tera supra. (My opinion)
