i am not a fan of the DMs/TDMs/CtFs, and it's not because ku zi murdered us all, it's just because it's boring in that environment... it's too open, it's too "not-deathmatch-like", and when it's not like that it's too condensed and we're all on top of each other... posse's and riding around fucking shit up is the only way to have fun out there IMO... this is the wild west, not the streets of liberty city...

I'd bet cash money it has nothing to do with the recent spate of mass shootings. It's an M-rated game that's made for adults, and can only be purchased by adults (even if they're giving it to their underage kids). The discussion in Congress said nothing about less blood. The only real concencus was to make laws more strict that allow children to buy adult games. And besides that, no legislation was passed, and I doubt it ever will. You ban violet games, you have to ban violent movies. You have to ban music with violet lyrics. But no, let's not ban fucking semi-automatic rifles! Don't worry, kiddies, GTA V is going to pour the blood down our throats just like we like it. R* wouldn't cowtow to something like that. Yes, they removed some things from GTA III, but that was due to 9/11 and Liberty being based on NYC. As tragic as the Sandy Hook shooting was, 9/11 was fucking . . . well, 9/11. No comparison. And hell, in III you could blow people's heads and limbs off for chrissakes. Also, for those who are worried that it'll be released on next gen, stop. That's idiotic. They've been developing this game since before the new console technology was even designed. Also, they did intend on releasing it in the spring. Doesn't make much sense to release a game for a console that doesn't exist yet.

This sounds a bit too close to be a coincidence. It's one thing to have a spring release date and hear that next-gen consoles aren't due until next year, then hear the game is delayed until fall and now next-gen may be bumped up. I just don't see how they can release a major title like GTA for a current-gen console when the new one is imminent. We'll have to wait and see how this shapes up.

I own a ps3 and not a 360, of course if I was a dumb fanboy I would tell you to fuck off for no reason.... but I am not a fanboy. in my experience gtaiv online (for ps3) blew fucking monkey balls, it was decent enough to get connected with a bunch of people but we had common problems, such as having too many friends wouldnt allow you to invite some of your friends onto the game (they would appear either online, or as if they were not playing gta) and successive disconnections from not having the proper NAT. or the common lag when either too much shit was happening or someone joined the match. luckily this will be improved in v. I am pretty sure the xbox version didn't run into these problems... I am pretty sure (someone that owns a 360 confirm) the 360 version didn't run into most of these problems, but there was the occasional hackers. both consoles have both pros and cons.
