from a designer perspective, something was standing out to me... it's the balance of color... the flow and balance of the complimentary colors makes the presentation jump out to me (it's probably just me).. now i know why the 'chop' dog had a new BG, and the beach girl didn't have the blue pier scene from the official artwork... it's "officially" balanced ... EDIT: updated the image, left out poor franklin at the bottom...

Generally they keep it the same, as to where they put certain artworks on the front cover, a helicopter has been in the top left of every GTA cover since 3. They pretty much got the SA front cover and changed it to fit in with the story and the new details in the game. Copter top left, blonde center left, guy with face covered center top, guy on two wheels top right, new relevant transport in the center, cars down the bottom and guys holding guns. Only things different is obviously Chop, new feature, no poker chips, no Vegas, and Truth the free loving hippy has been swapped for Trevor, probably the biggest maddest badass to ever be in a GTA game. They made it so it resembles the SA front cover, and they've done a good job. I don't know why but looking a the new one, for me it makes the game look like it'll be a lot more gritty and dark, more serious than it's predeceases. I like it

I think that may have been what Rockstar wanted to establish, a likable woman who actually seemed decent, then they do some unexpected things.

The Ace of Spades ( which is what the tattoo could potentially be ) is traditionally symbolic of one of two things, both of which are often linked to one another. Those two things being Metamorphosis and Death ( not necessarily in that order ). To flip over the Ace of Spades in any kind of card reading is to get a warning of impending death, whether it be your own or someone linked to you. However it doesn't always have to be a literal death, it could be a death of a certain self, or a phase of life, thus opening a path to a new existence or new identity. People who sport the Ace of Spades are, whether they know it or not, announcing that they welcome death as a means to a better existence, or simply, that they are not afraid of death and the changes it will bring. This is why the Ace of Spades is popular with soldiers.

Thats why I didn't say "That spade means there will be gambling". Hense the "?". I simply suggested that there might be gambling. Plus I havent seen that on Trevor in any other artwork or screenshot. It was just something worth pointing out. i've seen it a bunch of times... a quick google search brought up a revealing possibility... trevor was in vietnam maybe?? but that'd make him at least 60 years old... maybe it was from the american/australian war based around the desert storm time? either way, the spade tattoo is a favorite among enlisted men... trevor was a pilot for the military so there's my answer, my assumption...

Why does that concern you? Because it implies to me that there won't be much of a story focus outside of Los Santos proper, or that the area outside of town isn't all that interesting. There may not be any countryside in the box art, but there are 19 official screenshots from Rockstar that were taken of and/or inside of the countryside are. And that's of actual gameplay, so that should indicate there will be a good portion of missions in the sticks (Not to mention the fact that Trevor lives there, blew up a house and trashed a mobile home in the 2nd trailer).

Per day? wtf it's been like a week since i posted a pic Malwarebytes doesn't detect it, Norton doesn't detect it, MS SE detects it and 'cleans' it but it never goes away. I guess I'm gonna have to take it to my computer guy, I just have to... uh.. clean out some stuff

You're talking about surviving a fall like it's a bad thing. Why would you want to die when jumping into water? You'd jump out of a helicopter, land in the water, die, say "oh, look at that," and never bother with it again. Dying when falling into water falls into the category of 'pointless realism.' It wouldn't benefit the game in any way if they 'fixed' it.

climbing was really troublesome in IV. i want to be able to climb onto the ledge of a rooftop rather than automatically jumping over it resulting in a splatery death. I don't know how to respond to this. It's fucking obvious it needs to be improved from San Andreas, that was complete shit with box-like motion, even worse than IV. IV wasnt much of an improvement. for me it was worse because of the reason i mentioned above.
