2 pointsLame. Had to call it, and to go through the animations, couldn't look at the map when you selected your location, long animation, clunky clunky clunky. I prefer to point and click method of fast travel. The cab system in gta4 took longer to use than just driving there, not to mention that you had to run around until you find a car that wasnt a shitty taxi, which was all the street was filled with. Im in alderney with a banshee, want to go to dukes, your suggesting i get out of me banshee, hunt down a taxi, mess with the clunky system, get dropped off in dukes with nothing but a taxi and a whole bunch of busted ass slow ass cars? Lame.

1 pointI like this idea alot! Being able to load up your favorite cars or motorcycles would be sick! Imagine something like from Fast and The Furious. Say you find an exotic car dealership you wanna rob with Ferraris, Lambo's, Bugatti's, Porshe, Aston Martin's Etc right. Have like a 5 or 6 man heist, Stick up Car Dealership, Pick up vehicles and you have to get away. Would love this Idea.

1 pointid have a roadtrain online with a trailer full of my crew that would scare the crap out of them chopper basteds.
-
1 pointthat would be awesome to actually be able to use them, because i hated how in 4 the cars would just slide off. it would be pretty cool to have a friend drive off the top in the opposite direction of you while you are bieng chased and to see him total the car chasing you.

1 pointI don't know. But I hope we can use remote charges from the parachute. Bombing runs, anyone?

1 pointRoman's cab service could be called up via the friends ability, but you never want to go bowling so Roman doesn't like you. The bowling alley was where Michelle and I had our first date. I couldn't go back there after her. Too many memories. *Sobs* *Turns phone off*

1 pointThere was an Ammu-Nation website in GTA: Chinatown Wars where you could buy weapons and ammo, so it's totally plausible and would be pretty awesome as well. Though I'd imagine the money would affect the relationships between the three protagonists in addition to what the player could buy with it. In the game informer article, there was a line about one of the advantages of multiple protags was that you would get to play as your own antagonist (or something like that). Anyway I'd imagine it would be similar to how Niko, Johnny, and Luis often found themselves on different sides of some confrontations like in the botched Museum deal in IV. With the heists in GTA V, it could be that one or two of the protags would get screwed out of some of the money by the other(s), possibly by the player's choice. It may seem unreasonable since they will be working together throughout most of the game, but I suspect that they are working together more out of necessity rather than volition (especially after Michael's sarcastic tone when introducing Franklin to Trevor in the second trailer).

1 pointYeah, fast travel is useful. Sure, it is fun to drive(bike, fly, walk) through the area yourself, but sometimes you just can't be fucked. I'll probably use it when fucking around while using cheats and such.

1 pointLike a cat? Was it like a cat? It was a cat wasn't it? I can't wait to see you lick her cat!
-
1 pointI would like more public transport as ways of fast travel. Like the subway in IV, but with more stations. And buses that actually drive would be nice.
-
1 pointexactly... this is called "grand theft auto", it's all about jacking cars... i'll gladly take a taxi to my next point of interest, so i can steal a car and try to get away with it while running over everyone on the sidewalk in my getaway... there's no point in an RPG fast travel when the entire series has been based on the drive to that location... the taxi service works just fine... if you can't hail a cab then steal a car and drive around until you see one...
-
1 pointSpeaking of which, how many taxis have we seen in the trailers and pics? one blurry one?
-
1 pointAnd they made that corner of the lake pointy as fuck. Just a correction to the previous version of this pic (lower right image): And while I'm here this is what my GTA V map approximation is up to:
-
1 pointAs far as 'fast travel' goes, it would be nice to be able to use the phone to call a taxi if there aren't any around. Other than that, the taxis were fine.
-
1 pointYes, it is. I hate having to drive all the way across the map to drop off something for a mission.. Takes too much time for nothing.
-
1 pointIf it's not Fallout, I don't give a shit. Just a waste of time while we wait for a real game.

1 pointDownloaded. I want to get a closer look at some things. That part where there's a thing for half a second is really fascinating.
-
1 pointOk, a few more. Fred chillin, packo and thomas obamus the presidential cat having a stare-off. "Duo"
-
1 pointIt works good with bikers too, if one of them starts shooting usually others will join in, and occasionally one will have a combat shotgun. I def want more interactions like these, where we can kind of 'puppet' the NPC's into doing shit.

1 pointI have thought about this and am clueless. I think I will be switching a lot. In San Andreas I would dress up in a suit and role play a high roller in a nice car (Michael) mostly in LV. Other times I would role play the gangster aspect in thug clothes and lowriders in the ghettos of LS (Franklin).. And yes, I got the rural clothes from that country girlfriend and would wear overalls with cowboy hat while I did Semi Trucking missions along the countryside.. Each lifestyle I would role play would have its own perfect radio station. I think I will be able to achieve this 10X better in GTA V.. Now I can actually play the game and experience the city in each walk of life. Can't Wait!

1 pointI actually think we got a glimpse of the first mission in the second trailer. This is how i think it will go down: Micheal has a row with his wife, and decide to take a walk. We take a walk to the beach and sit on the bench, when Franklin and friend walk past. This is the point in the trailer, i believe is the first contact. After Michael points Franklin in the right direction, something kicks off. Probably a fight, but Franklin (and friend) is outnumbered. So Micheal being the Fatherly type steps in and helps him out. At this point you can switch between the players fighting the thugs you're meant to be repo'ing the car from. And then after that Franklin drives Micheal back to his house in Rockford Hills. Micheal feels empowered, saying he could use a guy like him in his old line of work, as he's thinking of gong back into business. etc... Plausible?
