1 pointRecently in my looking and admiring of the GTA V screenshots I have noticed something rather interesting. It appears to me that Rockstar has implemented some form of environment change dynamic. What I mean by that is if you do something like say, burn down a building, it will be roped off and rebuilt. Now while my example is not confirmed let me show you some screenshots that confirm either a change in map design or a dynamic change as result of some mission. Case One: http://www.igta5.com/images/official-screenshot-another-wonderful-sunset-in-los-santos.jpg (Note:I will not be posting the full images as they are very large) If you notice that the tall skyscraper on the left of the even taller one has a construction crane. Seems harmless right? Wrong. Case Two: http://www.igta5.com/images/official-screenshot-view-from-observatory.jpg This shot shows that the same skyscraper is lacking said crane. Case Three: http://www.igta5.com/images/official-screenshot-nice-dam-view-of-the-city.jpg This shot also shows the same skyscraper lacking the crane. Closing thoughts: If you look at other screenshots showcasing the same building you notice the lacking of that crane up until recent screenshots. It seems apparent to me that one of two things is going on, Rockstar decided to add a crane for looks which is highly unlikely, here is why. Rockstar starts to develop their games around the map. Once the map is loosely built they develop story and so on and so forth. So this far into development it seems highly unlikely that they would add a crane with no apparent use. It also seems that as they release screenshots they are delving farther into the story. The trailer and screenshots were mere intros, the next trailer and slew of screenshots showed more mission based content. So it seems that the crane may be the result of a mission or an environment change. Maybe in that storm we saw in the screenshot of the pier caused a bunch of glass and structural damage to the skyscraper I use as my example. If my theory is in fact, well, fact...this would be a major leap in game world and game dynamics. Whatever the case, I am greatly excited to finally play this game come September.

1 pointI dig what you're saying. I think something like that would just up the feeling of immersion even more, especially being able to just start a mission where ever.. But i think i could only be applied to a few specidfic types of missions, mainly the heist ones like you said. Otherwise it would get very tedious to hae to plan your shit for every mission, it would end up feeling like a open world Hitman almost.

1 pointDeath, I have been keeping the Moors out of my land for generations now, so I'm not going to be intimidated by a bunch of honky knife holders from a whole ocean and land away. I'm also in the market for huge boulders to throw at invading muslims, if anyone has those for sale.

1 pointI don't think we have to rule out changing where the protagonists live just yet. Just because we can't buy property, it doesn't mean we can't unlock safe-houses as the game progresses like with Niko in IV. Michael lives in a big house and Trevor doesn't seem like the type of guy who cares about living lavishly, but Franklin is trying to move up in the world. Maybe he will get a nicer place as the story progresses. Or who knows, what if something happens to their homes in the game, like in IV when Niko and Roman lost their shitty hove beach apartment.

1 pointI doubt they have shown off multiplayer. That's usually one of the last things to be revealed. Just because the website is named "multiplayer" doesn't necessarily mean they have a multiplayer preview.

1 pointI enjoyed SA precisely because of what R* did with CJ's character. I didn't get all pissy because he wasn't hard enough or gangsta enough - he wasn't supposed to be. R* poked a little fun at the hardcore gangsta culture by making CJ a regular dude with a sense of humor about himself. The contrast was meant to be amusing, and it is. My two cents - I hope that for character development in V they can find a way to balance the light-hearted cartoonish spirit of SA with the storytelling depth of IV. Although judging from this thread, that would piss everybody off...

1 pointI applaud you. It's not that easy to create original GTAV related topics anymore. That's a really good example of taking realism too far. Tanks plowing trough fences and small vehicles while chasing you in Downtown LS seems fine to me, but more importantly it's fun.

1 pointExactly what I had in mind! You'd still have the realism R* is going for in the last GTA's, but as a player you would have more "connection" to your vehicle. Because since I love my cars to be crisp while I drive them, I used to drag people out of their cars constantly, (because when you drive a certain car then the same model will suddenly pop up everywhere around you) just to keep a crisp car... And yes I've seen Ghost Protocol (once), and I liked the movie (yes Ive seen all MI movies), but I cant really remember the scene you refer to... (Maybe I smoke too much! LOL).
