This is what i think i've learn't about each character from these trailers: Micheal In a mid life crisis, on the edge of a nervous breakdown. He's frustrated with his rich but boring lifestyle, and takes it out on his family, who in turn, hate him for it. His Wife is playing away with younger man/men who she believes care about her more than Micheal does. Franklin Far from straight cut, but is trying to shake his old lifestyle, whilst still trying to hold on to old friends. Obviously they come hand in hand, and parts of his gang life force their way back in to his life. Trevor He's clearly chosen a tough lifestyle, and projects this, with an "i couldn't give a fuck" attitude in all areas of his life. He's a major drug dealer, sociopath, and anarchist. He's not really bothered about making money, he's just along for the ride. I could be wrong but that's how i perceived it.

Because he's cool and different from the typical GTA character dick. Actually all of them are different it seems, except Franklin, he's sort of a remake of CJ. Only this time Franklin isn't a bitch like CJ was.

Oh my god a juggalo.... I mean, that does fit in with the white trash aspect of Trevor. I really sprang a woody for Franklin's trailer. That one has me the most excited. I think the only way Rockstar could top the three different perspectives here is if they let you play as a cop too.

For those that give a shit, the rides are not stationary. Here are a few things I noticed about each trailer: Michael Appears to have a very close relationship with his therapist. The doctor may play a large role in Michael's storyline. Has an advanced (in comparison to other protagonists) fighting style; catches a man in the face with an elbow. Is seen picking up a chair and destroying a TV with it. Put Tracy in an armbar and shoved her, prompting her to scream "I HATE YOU!". Micheal proceeded to calmly turn on the TV. Franklin The vertical "liquor" sign that was visible in an artwork (and also in Trevor's trailer) is visible in the first frame. Dirigible is visible over the dealership (appears lower than in other appearances). Friend accuses Frank of being a "snee-eye-itch". Subtle foreshadowing, perhaps? Street racing scene cuts to a cockpit view of (presumably) a police helicopter. May be the cinematic camera in action. Some graphic nudity follows the street race. The *ahem* exotic entertainer is revealing quite a bit. "Cash and Carry" artwork is played out in-game, with the same lighting of LS at dusk. Police bodies fly from the cruiser, which is missing doors from the collision. Following the flood control chase, a setting seen earlier in the trailer is revisited: a house that is down the street from the Compton Court. The same car is parked out front as before, perhaps suggesting that it is part of the same cutscene as before. A man is murdered in the bright light of a tactical flashlight. Weapon customization, perhaps? Trevor A man, probably Trevor, is seen pissing in the corner of his meth lab. (Fun fact: a meth cook wouldn't do that, as the fumes from the urine's ammonia can react with the fumes present during cooking and ruin a batch or cause an explosion) As he is called a hillbilly by a disembodied voice, the same vertical "liquor" sign is visible on a street in Sandy Shores (a parody of Bombay Beach) as was visible early in Franklin's trailer. Clubs a guy square in the face by the Alamo Sea. Friendship with Michael is rekindled upon sight (likely first time since the "old days"), as Trevor lifts Michael in a bear hug. (Is that Michael's therapist on the right? Could it be that the therapist is responsible for Michael's re-entry into the game? Could also be Ron.) Next frame, Trevor leans over a wooden balcony as a man (Ron?) tells him to "go and ruin someone else's home furnishings!" Trevor flies a biplane over a hangar-like structure that has the Vapid logo. He strangles an old man in an area that looks like Rockford Hills. The man's wife swats Trevor upside the head with her purse. Prepares to torture a man with jumper cables (a special ability?) Has a fondness for mammary glands, as he congratulates Michael's wife on her "nice new tits". Confesses to "abandonment issues", and he sees a "shrink" weekly. Is heard laughing as he drives a car into an oncoming train. "You want me to get my dick out again?", with a serious expression on his face. This game is gonna be great.

i bet the bike is stolen... ----------- overall though, HOLY SHIT!! i was very impressed with all 3 trailers... most of you touched on the points i was thinking or noticed... i think franklin comes away as the winner in this round... his story and character was finally fleshed out and it looks like a very strong hood story... trevor was even more crazy in his trailer than i gave him credit for... he's gonna be quite the comic relief... and michael's trailer was great as well, showing how his family life is killing him softly and he is in need a release...

All three trailers were awesome, and all three characters look interesting in their own ways. Michael ~ Looks to have the most thought provoking storyline. He looks like a very human character who is never happy and is always wanting more from life ( Excitement, Meaning, Purpose etc ). He looks like he wants some of the excitement back from his old lifestyle ( ie Heists and other Criminal Enterprises ) from before he went into the Witness Protection Program. Looks like he has mini games like Golf, Tennis, and from the bike track next to the beach scenes in his trailer, it looks like it might be easier to get around Los Santos on a bike. Michael reminds me of Tony Soprano mixed with a little Walter White, topped off with some Rockstar. Franklin ~ To be honest his trailer was probably the most interesting to watch, gameplay wise. It looks like most of the Members here were wrong, and GTA V will indeed be featuring Street Gang Missions alongside other possible Open World interactions. Franklin looks alot tougher in this Trailer than in the previous ones, his story will hopefull be what CJ's story should of been in GTA SA. He looks to have some Gangbangin' and other 'Hood' type missions in his story, along with his dog 'Chop' and however we will be able to use him against enemies ( did anyone else notice his green collar in Franklin's trailer? Customization anyone? ). And the 'We Own Los Santos' map in his home reminds me of the Gang Territories/ Wars game mechanic in GTA SA, pointing towards something similar in GTA V. Franklin's Story could be interesting, because he is trying to better his life by making more money and getting out of the old Gangster Lifestyle. But is constantly being pulled back into it by his old friends ( like Lamar ). Trevor ~ Looks more Redneck and Psychopathic than ever. His character reminds me alot of Heisenberg ( Walter White's alter ego in 'Breaking Bad' ), especially the reference to being a drug dealer, and the Meth Kitchen setup in his Trailer ( Drug Dealing Mechanics Possibly? ). Again with the pyromainia, setting things on fire in the this trailer as well. He looks like he enjoys a bit of the old Ultra-Violence, alongside a bit of Sadistic Torture. Anyone who enjoys inflicting violence on virtual people will definitely enjoy this character and story. I don't know about the Redneck Country music in his trailer, but San Andreas K-Rose had some good songs. I also don't know about the homosexual shit at the end of his trailer, where he threatened to get his cock out again if the guy didn't give him a massage. I don't know if Trevor is secretly bi-sexual, and pretending to be heterosexual ( Like alot of people in Prison ), but this definitely reminds me of that scene in Deliverance ( You know the One ) Anyway these Trailers showed tonnes more than just the Characters, like new Cars and views of Los Santos and the Countryside etc. But i'll leave that for another post.

Let me guess, you were Jay Rock's No.1 fan because he was your boy in da hood, and then the new trailers released and you said: 'thumbs up if you were bumpin' this before GTA5!1!!' I was bumping Waylon before GTA V. OG, honkys, etc.

Did you like IV's driving? Yup, it had it's issues but I prefer it over something like MC:LA or GTA SA. Also, Micheal looks noticeably younger now.

The "GROVE" graffiti may just be a nostalgic nod to the bygone days of SA, as the graffiti mentioning old/dead protagonists was in GTA IV.

I wouldn't mind limiting the amount of weapons we could carry as any player, if they introduced the ability to store weapons in our safe-house. I just feel like it would be great if we had some heads-up of what sort of mission we'd be getting into before shit goes down? I just found it hilariously absurd how Niko receives a text from Packie to show up at his place in a suit and proper shoes for something he's planning with his brothers, and when you get there Niko casually agrees to join them for a bank heist! At least in SA, the casino heist mission was the culmination of many smaller missions that set it up, and the same could be said about the bank job in Vice City. I'd like to choose what to wear, what weapons to bring, and what car to drive for most missions, heist or assassination or whatever. This could be solved with a system where you would go to your contact and get a brief of what they expect you to do. The mission wouldn't start until you called your contact to discreetly inform him/her that you are about to begin when you are ready; saying something like: "I'm about to start cooking" or "Somebody gonna get pregnant." It could give a good advantage to start the mission from anywhere, and if that's too problematic then maybe begin the mission from a convenient point in the map that you must place the call from. Another advantage of this is the ability to case your potential target location and come up with your own strategy on how to carry out the mission. One of the greatest moments I've had in the entire GTA series was when we had to assassinate Salvatore Leone as he was leaving Luigi's club in GTA III. The only instructions you got were; Sal leaves in XX time, so don't get spotted in front of the club before then. Initially I thought I would park half a block from the club and wait until he left to try to run him over. Unfortunately he made it to his car and I had to ram and shoot his car off the road, and I remember that it was a very hard mission that took me a couple of tries. In another play-through I remembered there were stairs in a back alley that lead to the roof of the building across the street from the club and proceeded to climb up to the roof. There was a small window of opportunity for me to blow off Salvatore's head with a sniper rifle before he got in his car, and that made what was once such a difficult mission an incredibly easy one. I'm not saying I dislike any kind of challenge, but I would like to be rewarded for being clever (cramming all night for a final and getting a B+, is nowhere near as satisfying as cheating your ass off and getting an A). It's much more realistic and a lot more fun to give us some kind of control on how to carry out our missions.

I agree, having L.A.'s Street Gangs play same sort of role in the game is realistic, since gangs feature prominantly in the real L.A. Plus it would also add a bit more depth, gameplay wise too the game. For example having missions involving different Sets in some way, or having gang members spawn in certain areas of Los Santos. With the Gang Members being more heavily armed and armoured than regular civilians, and also dropping more cash ( like the drug dealers did in SA ). Also if you attack them you do not recieve a wanted level from the LSPD. Rockstar doesn't have to bring back full blown Gang Wars for GTA V to incorporate Street Gangs in some minor way. Whether you like it or not I think Rockstar will be putting gangs into certain areas of Los Santos, and I for one would enjoy their inclusion in GTA V.

Well, if Franklin is a gang member, I certainly hope he wouldn't believe that. We've already had one black protagonist who was a huge pussy, I'd like to see Franklin make up for it. its not something to believe.. its just a fact.. he doesnt have to be active in the gang if he dont want to, but he will always will be a part of the gang... like cj saying "i havnt repped grove in 5 years", that stuff dont matter and imo gta5 will be much better if you have one charactor as an active gang member, would put a whole new prospective on the game.. Idk what the fuck your talkin about man?! "a new perspective." We've already been there and done that shit.. Side Note: learn how to fuckin spell.. i know how to spell lol plus i have spell check so i know i spell words wrong but its the fuckin INTERNET who cares? you? brian? sorry i didnt know.. u know what words i was tryna say!! and i meant that in a different way.. if gta5 has no gang member as a main character, then it would still be awesome, but they can put so many new things in the gang life than ever before with this one.. thats what i really meant.. You should care you fucking dumbass it makes people actually consider your opinions. If I see an opinion no matter how well thought out, I'm still going to think you're a fucking dumbass and dismiss it. Well, if Franklin is a gang member, I certainly hope he wouldn't believe that. We've already had one black protagonist who was a huge pussy, I'd like to see Franklin make up for it. Fucking thank you, I'm so tired of everybody think CJ is a badass gang member but he fucking ran away from Los Santos and went to Liberty City.

okay ready for my list ? - ability to hide from cops - customizable weapons (ie. surpressor, sights, extended mags) - better reload animation (in gta 4 all i saw was niko touching his gun when reloading xD) - more clothing to chose from ( malls, outlets, more brands, online) - customizable vehicle ( like SA just modified version) - destructible area ( say your driving at 130 mph and hit a house, and it makes a big ass hole xD - being able to buy extra safehouses (saw it in gta chinatown wars) - buy things for safehouse (furniture, tvs, beds) - more songs in radio station instead of 6-8 song maybe 10-16? idk ... - real news on radio!! like say you kill a bunch of people and the get busted, get a car and then listen to the radio for a while then it talks about the things that happened - realistic traffic (car crash scene, road block, if street lights didnt work cops would be there pointing you in the way you should go, people getting pulled over) - and last but not least ... destructible trees xD the thinnest trees could flip my super gt over 3 times xD (setting them on fire, running them over) well theres my list xD

No no no no nowie no no. "The O button served no purpose when driving in GTA IV." Not true. The O button was the cinematic camera button and served for some badass cop chases. clicking L3 while holding O also made the game enter slow-mo. I'll be damned if they remove that.

I wouldn't want online. Ubisoft added multiplayer to Assassin's Creed, and it was a huge waste of resources. It would be the same here. Not every game needs multiplayer. In fact, most don't. Leave it for shit like CoD, but don't take away from the singleplayer experience just to tack on multiplayer (Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, etc.)

I expect they'll be taking a lot of inspiration from the popular features in RDR. Gang hideouts, gambling, interactive free roam, social club challenges, etc. I think some of the picky features everyone asks for before a new GTA game (petrol, ability to do x, a mission where you are able to do y, etc) are going to be ignored in favour of 'social' features, challenges, leaderboards, and suitable rewards (avatar awards in RDR were cool. Shame there were only nine, but they were probably testing the water). Will be interesting to see how they handle outfits - will they stick to GTA IVs idea of clothes shops and a few special outfits you can unlock, or go with RDRs model of unlocking outfits as you complete a series of tasks? I think the shopping model applies to GTA IV better but RDRs outfit selection was MUCH more varied and interesting. In GTA IV I found myself using the same two outfits, where as in RDR I use a number of different ones. The selection was extremely limited in BOGT and LAD didn't bother at all. It will also be interesting to see if they give some outfits different bonuses too - but I suppose that all depends if Rockstar is going to go for realism again, or more of a relaxed/fun atmosphere. I guess RDR could get away with it more easily since the Western setting has an aura of fantasy about it. Maybe Rockstar will let us vary the outfits better by letting us choose our own colours or something? Who knows, I just hope we can have a larger number of decent outfits than GTA IV. One thing I hope Rockstar does is make it less of a grind to progress in multiplayer. I do not want to have to grind to rank up and unlock stuff! Let me unlock guns/outfits by completing challenges if you want, but I don't want to have to play for 100s of hours to unlock everything I want to own. Maybe let people choose what they want to unlock at each rank rather than have a set order. The game is fundamentally a sandbox game, so there should be fewer restrictions than you get with a normal FPS game. As far as the actual story goes, I'm open to ideas. America has the diversity you need so I expect GTA V will be set there. I'm more interested in having a better range of cars with better sounds and handling (GTA4 was an improvement, but you had Infernuses with jelly suspension), a good selection of guns (again with better sounds), and I'm also hoping for some more graphic gunplay. Sure you could get clouds of blood in GTA IV, but there was no dismemberment or anything like that. Improvements to the cover system are pretty much guaranteed so I look forward to that, too.
