5 pointsfirst thing i'll do is start with the first few missions, to get a feel for the game and some of the new features. then i'll go out and explore for a bit. wait... has someone already posted something similar? oh, man. i know i'm going to be so excited, i'll just start running around the neighborhood, breaking everything i see. knocking down every pedestrian in my way, and kicking every cop in the nuts! then i'll come back home and start playing gta 5.

3 pointsIs that a thing? I can't keep up with you crazy kids and your internet lingo and your rock and roll music and your Pac-Man video games.

3 pointsWhen this screenshot first popped up, i mentioned that i thought there was some sort of off-road mountain valley between these two mountains, but i obviously had no proof from that angle, it just kind of looked like it had open space between. Now we can see from this top-down angle, that there is in fact a valley road there. I wonder if this winds up the left mountain, which could be the possible location of our trailer one hike...?

2 pointsHave a crew? Recruit for it here, don't start a new topic. Only post your crew once and use the edit button to change it if needed. The iGTA crew has been full since the day it was created, but someone occasionally leaves, giving us an open spot. Keep an eye on it if you'd like to join, I'm sure you'll get in eventually. http://socialclub.ro...igrandtheftauto TreeFitty edit: Fill out your profile here (PSN ID/XBL Gamertag) and link your accounts to Social Club. Then send me a Private Message on this website for an invite.

2 pointsMore. As you may well know I'm a big fan of Ska, 2-tone.The music, the clothes I consider this song the epitome of that period.

1 pointI put together a Google Maps overlay to show the estimated scale of Los Santos/San Andreas to real-world LA. The link will take you to a view of the map on my website that you can zoom, pan, etc. If you take a look at satellite view, you can eyeball objects on the ground and see that the scale matches up pretty well. This would probably be most interesting to someone that has a basic familiarity with LA (I do not). For the rest of us, it still demonstrates the scale of what we've seen so far. The bounding rectangle in the image is about 6.21 square miles. And of course, this is only part of the map - someone smarter than me can speculate on exactly what percentage it represents. Long-winded and very boring explanation of my methodology:

1 pointExcuse me, did he say "assault"? No. He mentioned harassment. Not to worry; the most the elderly matrons of Los Santos have to worry about is a vulgar comment or twelve from a man in a yeti suit. Perfectly reasonable.

1 pointI'm willing to bet that they had a shot of the bridge in BC, and they lead landscape designer said something to the effect of, "Find me a rail bridge like that, but in California." After finding no such bridge, they returned with the original image and no one was the wiser. Show biz.

1 pointOkay, I'm convinced Rockstar has either accidentally used structures [far] outside of Southern California or they are really stretching their "reimagination" of it. First is the rail bridge. Since the first screenshot of it the only match I found was one in Canada - a very good match. I had searched Google 10 different ways for a rail bridge in Southern California and it actually popped up in the image results for "truss arch rail bridge california". The real bridge is Stoney Creek Bridge in British Columbia: Now here's what I was looking at just now. In this next screencap you can see a motel in the background (individual yellow boxes with the letters and some signage under it including a red arrow). Searching Google for "route 66 motel california" brings up an image of an almost exact motel sign for Glancy Motel which is on historic Route 66. The problem is that it's in Oklahoma. There have been a few others that I can't think of off-hand where a similar structure was a little far from Southern California. /rant

1 pointInkscape. I make .svg files so I can basically zoom in or make a huge image if I wanted. I started using Inkscape a couple years ago when I started making this.

1 pointSo anyway, since it's 2 months to go, here's something I've been working on: Obviously it will be updated as we get more screens/videos.

1 pointI'm going to derail a lot of people's first game experience plans by pointing out that character switching isn't available at the beginning of the game. It will most likely be that the characters will switch automatically at first as you progress through missions, or you will "unlock" the characters as you progress, starting as Michael, then obtaining Franklin and Trevor...

1 pointUsually files are taken from the PC and put onto the PS3 via USB. Patch blockers and special PS3's (Jailbroken in terms) are usually needed. A friend of mine who I met through xbox told me he had a PS3 maybe 5-6 months ago. I turned my dust covered PS3 from 2008 on and he modded MW2. I had to install a patch blocker on my computer for it to work but he said you just use a USB and files from PC. He also had that Jailbroken PS3.

1 pointSkyrim's a good game... I imagine GTA V's map will be a similar size (one can dream, right?) When i first pop in the disc, i'll do a few missions, then i'll do basically what "Hoekie" had said... Anything bigger than Skyrim (roughly size of oblivion) in full detail would be unbelievable. I guess I will be buying just cause II. the first thing I would do would be check if any islands are locked and try to go on them.
