2 pointsWith Grand Theft Auto Online information looming, I'm pretty excited to hear what all the hype and secrecy is about... Can we expect a fully functioning world where you role play as your character within the crew, protect your assets from rival gangs, spend your hard earn't money on safehouses, businesses and other useful investments? Will it be a long term experience that we can expect to be playing for a long time after GTA V has had its run? Hell, we still play GTA IV multiplayer years down the line, and that was essentially basic GTA gameplay! GTA is still a unique style of game that no-one else has managed to successfully replicate. So why should GTAO be any different? For GTAO to be a success, it just needs to stick to the drawing board, and be what GTA has always been about. Stealing, racing, dealing, killing, and gang rivalry... Will there be ranks or ladders to climb in crews on GTAO? Showing exceptional skills, or cold killing techniques, will there be an experience system which can help gain respectable positions within your crew? Crews are clearly an important aspect for GTA V, and i really think that it was originally designed for GTA, and not Max Payne. Max Payne 3 just happened to be the experimental budgey (imo) between GTA releases. Will you be able to build some sort of empire, or crew presence withint the world of GTAO, not just on the stat screens? I didn't even get started on customization....There's so many questions to be answered, with such a small amount of time until release. I kind of want them to leave it til last minute to unveil it properly. Just as long as the hype is worth while.

2 pointsIt's all portfolio work. I'm not making a blockbuster game or anything, that shit takes years with a whole team. I'm only making scenes of which can show my ability to work professionally. With all my work finished, i'll display it online, on a showreel disc, and send it to various development teams. When i show enough competence, i may get a job out of it. If you guys want to actually roam around in any of my finished game environments, i can upload a unreal.exe for you guys, but i'll only do that when i get to a semi-finished state. Maybe that'd be a good idea for feedback. You guys can tell me what looks good, what doesn't, and how i can improve it?

1 pointAre they adding "locking car doors from inside" feature? I hate being arrested from a tank. Or from any car. Cops should not just arrest by opening the door and showing the gun, they should pull you out first so you could run away (and increasing a star in the action).

1 pointSaying what you want and then having it happen isn't 'calling' anything. It's still just a wishlist. Also, I am going to murder a massive number of US citizens and then ejaculate on the face of whoever runs the NSA. Don't be a pussy, you can say whatever you want. Fuck the NSA.

1 pointThe only bad thing about the GTA V planes online is that there are always going to be little annoying shits bombing us all day

1 pointThey can have access to my stuff, I don't care - I don't make transactions via my phone. So enjoy my contacts and the pictures of my penis.

1 pointSecurity features that are years and years old aren't very secure anymore? I thought all those updates to firewalls were just to fix spelling mistakes...

1 pointThanks for clarifying. Where would we be without you. Moving on from the potty talk... Something occurred to me over the past couple of weeks playing GTA IV and San Andreas - I find myself manipulating the camera with the right analog stick a lot. It's gotten to a point where I don't even realize I'm doing it, but once I started paying attention it seemed absurd. A good example is coming up over the top of a hill while driving in IV. The "chase" camera has a bad tendency to stay low, so I'm stuck staring at my back bumper and can't see the oncoming cop car I'm about to smash into. In V, I'd like to see either A.) a more intelligent chase camera that can anticipate and automatically adjust to a more useful angle, or at least B.) the ability to customize the chase camera and lock it in at a higher angle so I don't have to constantly fiddle with the right stick. The most we've ever gotten is the ability to adjust the distance from the vehicle, but that doesn't quite cut it. Anyone with me on this?

1 pointGrand Theft Auto V will be out September 17. You will all be eager to share stories, mission details, plot points, etc., but many people here will not be playing at the same pace that you play at, and will not yet have experienced these things for themselves. It is inconsiderate, rude - and quite frankly, a dick move - to spoil any part of the game for your fellow forum members. In order to prevent you from being a dick, I have prepared a primer on GTA V spoiler etiquette. When posting a spoiler, you are to place it in 'spoiler tags.' I will show you how to do this below. Click the images to enlarge them. Now that the use of spoiler tags has been thoroughly explained and there is no excuse for failing to use them, I want to let you all know that there will be zero tolerance and zero mercy for those who post spoilers outside of spoiler tags. Failure to hide a spoiler in spoiler tags will result in an immediate warn for the first offense, and each offense after that will result in a 24 hour suspension. Repeat offenders who are especially troublesome... Thank you for reading, and enjoy your time here in the iGTA5.com forums. Unless you post unhidden spoilers, in which case you can enjoy your ban instead.

1 pointI don't think it's a shed. When you compare its size to the size of the two nearby paths, it's far too big to be just a shed.

1 pointAlso, any damage to your cockpit/cabin windows will affect flight dynamics, making it more difficult to aim. If your glass is broken, get a health pack to repair it before you get into any fights.

1 pointProtip: Navigate the Cinematic Camera to the gun-pod view. Move the Right Analog Stick down once (don't click it) to lock it into place. You will become an ace in a jiffy.

1 pointWell, there is this picture: And again, zoomed in: Found this while dredging through Trevor's trailer. Also: "Despite the carnage, this area is beautiful: the sand is ruffled, shaped by the lapping waters of the sea, sun winking in its water-slick surface, while the wave physics are some of the best we've seen in any game this generation." That quote was take from the CVG article released May 2nd. So, with the waves physics being as authentic and realistic as possible (not to mention the fact that it's supposed to take place on the West coast, a place synonymous with surfing), we may just get surfing and wakeboarding in GTA V. Oh, there was also this: That could also support the theory of surfing being a practical mini-game in the next GTA. Cheers, everyone. Oh, while I'm still on the topic of possible mini-games, I wouldn't be surprised if mountain-climbing was an option. Consider these early screens from the famous G.I. article: If all of the necessary animations were programmed for the trio to rappel against buildings, I would assume a mountain side would translate well with the same animations. I would hate to think that the rappelling feature would only be wasted on one mission...or not to be used anywhere else. Especially considering that there are taller peaks in the San Andreas area to climb then the skyscrapers in downtown Los Santos. It would be really cool to negotiate certain mountainsides to reach impossible heights or areas that no roads or trails could lead to. Only to jump off them of course... I'm sure mountain climbing is an old idea, so, please, do not think I'm trying to claim it as my own...just personalize it... A very long time ago, I thought GTA V would revolve around a native american protagonist and have a story very similar to the comic series "Scalped". It would revolve around the Native's reservation, taking place in the middle of a huge desert, far away from the temptations of Los Santos. Gambling, of course, would have to be included. ...but, that was a long time ago... ...keep this in mind buddy, one of Red Dead Redemption's most successful distractions was its version of poker. I wouldn't be surprised if Trevor, Michael, or Franklin found themselves in an illegal poker game or two come September.
