And here it is: I left the cuts in the roads/rails where the blue print's urban areas stop and my imagination took over. Here's a look at the mess I used: .gif comparison with Brady Games pic: Obviously some differences but pretty damn close. Anyway, glad it's over and we can sit back and wait for Rockstar to put a high quality map on the Social Club - and then we can rip and rape that for our own purposes.

Great Job Fitty. I think you got more accurate shape details than mine. All round, pretty close as expected, i never doubted the size of the map. Constructing the map made the wait a whole lot more bearable for me too. Something to spend an hour or so on each night. Mission two. Construct the seabed in 3D! xD nah, i'm glad it's finally come to an end, so i can actually play the fucker. It's crazy how much i'll know about the map going into it before I've even played it. I be like 'oh yeah that's there, as i recall...' lol Oh, and does this help people understand the scale a little better? /edit -typing on smartphones sucks!

So i think i'm gonna call it a day with this map, seeing as the game is out in 7 days, and we'll have the real map then, there'll be no use for this one. Fan Map Complete. (As complete as i can get it)

again, another person accidentally damaging one of the packages and taking it home for further inspection... brace yourselves people, a shit storm of leaks and spoilers are coming... and i for one will be deleting all of them even remotely close on facebook... and here when i see them... for the fans sake, for pete's sake...

Amazing job Dup and Fitty, I'm really astonished by how close you guys got the map, and to be so accurate! Every highway, street, everything! Thanks guys! Also Dup, that gif, wow, I knew the map was big, but that shows that is huge!

Not sure about that one. It did take a long time to traverse from one end to the other though. I did it online with friends back in the day. Took like 15 minutes flat out in the best cars. This reminds me off all the people complaining about the map size all over the interwebs:

Wow, there's a lot of new people in here... Not surprising, given the game's current hype. Read through the older posts peeps, all your questions will be answered tenfold! Sure, it'll take a few hours, at least, but you'll see pure gold, like Banana Pudding's constant arguments about perspective and scaling, or some drunk guy who threatened to have Massacre's posting privileges taken away. You'll also see hundreds of posts by members who have only posted 20 times constantly quoting Game Informer's statement that the game will be bigger than San Andreas, RDR and GTA IV combined, as though they were the first person to report it. Enjoy! And by the time you catch up to this post, the game will be out!

They could have fed so many homeless. I'm so glad they didn't.

When you get bored with GTA V, GTA VI will be 10 days from release.
