6 pointsI think that before applying to college, like Dozy said, you should try and understand what you want and who you are. Are you passionate about a certain profession? Or just about money? A lot of people go into uni and take degrees they aren't even sure about, ultimately becoming unfulfilled, we seem to think that just by reaching a certain yearly income, we will be happy, but the truth is we do spend most of our lives working (try not to get depressed now...), so you should at least try to find something that makes work (mostly) a joy. I have never been one for the academic life, in uni I just realized I wanted to get things done and fuck off, uni is boring. During my high school years I kept hearing things like "uni is much cooler, you'll pick an area and just focus on classes you like!", fuck that, uni is even broader than high school, my engineering classes spanned across wayyyy too many areas, 50% of those I could not give 2 shits about. Don't see your classes as something similar to what you'll be doing once you get a job, I like my job and it has basically nothing to do with my uni classes, but I do understand that it was my degree that opened doors for me to get the job - that's what a uni degree is, a door opener. At the same time, don't turn into one of those douches - "fuck uni, these classes have no real use in the real world!!" - wrong, wrong, fucking wrong. These boring ass classes that seem to only be there to fuck your brain and make you feel stupid are what's going to make you ready for the real world, where competition is fierce. I made it a mission in uni to take in as much math classes as possible, 99% of it is useless to me today, it's not like I'm going to ever need to bust out multiple integrals... but the challenge is great, it sharpens your mind, the harder it is, the better you become. The stress of passing these classes and the study requirements they demand put you in a better position once you find challenges in your job, uni can't prepare you 100% for the problems you'll encounter during your professional life, but those 3-5 years should at least challenge you and smooth out the transition to a job - so don't take only easy classes.

3 pointsAlright, this is the last straw. We've told you nicely not to post that 'petition' link anymore, but you keep right on doing it. If you post it again you're taking a week off, and if you come back after that week is up and post it again then you will be banned permanently. This is your final warning.

3 pointslol...two of the folks that shot your bullshit down were Australian. Americans are pretty stupid, though, I'll grant that. Here's a place that welcomes garbage such as yours with open arms: http://www.gtaforums.com/ Have fun.

2 pointsNice use of interior space DiO. I liked it. Skydie http://rsg.ms/LBy0jP TDM, 16 Player. If you find yourself in the sky, make a dash for your 'chute, and jump. On the ground? Grab a sniper' from the prison and look to the skies! The concept is that you start with pistols only. And you spawn in the sky on floating platforms. You jump off with your chute and shoot at eachother in the sky. Try to aim for the prison because that's where the snipers are. If you end up on the ground or respawn there, then grab a sniper from inside the prison and either snipe skydivers or battle on the ground (until you die and respawn back in the sky).

2 pointsPlease do not regurgitate your bullshit all over. If you get censored, it's for a reason. Take a hint and take your fruitless endeavors elsewhere.

1 pointFigured I'd make a topic about it, some of you have gone through it, some haven't. Some of us are anticipating it in the near future and others are currently experiencing it. This is a place to discuss college/university, get some advice, and share some experiences.

1 pointI think you over think way too many things for your age, don't assume anything at 15 or 16, at that age the only thing I knew for sure is that every morning I'd wake up with a boner - everything else was pure speculation and wrongness.

1 pointI feel like location is a huge thing, and it all comes back to connections. Living in New York, I think I have a much better chance of finding a job with a degree like that compared to someone from Virginia, just how it is. I don't know what Q has done or decided though so I can't speak for him. Electricians aren't going away, and if you know what you're doing you can live comfortably. There was a plumber from here who made $300K one year and the next year he barely made $50k

1 pointSpent about 20 minutes prepping fruit to make a nice smoothie, had it all poured out into the cup, I'm grabbing a lid for the container with fruit in it and something falls and knocks over the smoothie, and almost everything is gone. Being healthy is a real pain in the ass.

1 pointI attended Suffolk University in Boston from fall 2005 and over the next three And A half years I changed my major 6 times. After realizing I should be a semester away from graduating but instead I had a year's worth of credits and was constantly drifting in and out of probation I dropped out. I pretty much became Jimmy De Santa for the first half of 2009, living with my parents and spending most of my time playing GTA IV and Fallout 3. Went through a bit of a depressing existential crisis and knew I needed to get my shit together. Applied to a couple of universities and got accepted into the Geneva campus of Webster University. I graduated with a business administration degree in 2011. Then I worked at a telecom company for a year before finding a better job working as a human resources specialist at the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain. My advice is to try and be decisive and choose a major you're going to be interested in I know that's a lot harder said than done but really make up your mind on what you want to do. I skipped a lot of classes that simply bored my mind and I (or rather my parents) had to pay for the consequences.
