True story: imagine me as a small fry, maybe 5 years old. My family did a cross-country trip in a camper. We're in some touristy store in British Columbia, and are looking around at assorted kitschy Canadian souvenirs like maple syrup and little totem poles etc. My sister and I have been told we're allowed to choose one thing. I find a kilt pin (a simple one like an oversize safety pin, not a straight pin or celtic knot or anything). The top of it is embossed with a marijuana leaf and filled in with turquoise. I immediately grabbed it and said, "Look! It's like the maple leaf on our Canadian flag, only it's much prettier! It's so beautiful!! Can I have it? Please please please?" My parents looked at each other, I was too young to understand why they weren't as excited as I was. They gently tried to talk me into picking something else. I was not convinced. They ended up buying it for me, I think it was easier than trying to explain why I shouldn't have it. It was only years later, going through an old box of forgotten keepsakes, that I found it again and pieced the story back together in hindsight. Hearty laughs that day. Oh, the foreshadowing! I still have it, too.

Most games being released on current gen are still being co-developed for last gen at the moment, so you're still getting the games the PS4 is getting. 2015 is the year where i think they'll start to pull away from last gen, and the exclusives will start to roll out. /edit oOoo 5000th post.

In retrospective, I really do think the first-person implant is as brave and innovative as the third-person 3D spectacle we adored, that is GTA 3. They've taken another step forward in making GTA an even more personal and immersive world. This is a big deal. I still love the third-person camera, especially when driving, but it is brilliant that they have managed to overhaul the game, and get the fidelity to a point where a first-person view actually works well. The next step is probably Project Morpheus, and that's one of the factors in the creation of this mode, i reckon. We'll see, but i do hope the VR headset finally kicks off this generation.

Isn't it? Something about those serrated leaves and wide canopy is so eye-catching.

I'm still not convinced. I know I will get a ps4. Probably before Christmas. But the fact that this, a port, is the most compelling reason to do so. Doesn't really make me reach for my wallet. There just aren't any MUST play games for next gen yet.

I will probably be getting this for the PS4. I expect to complete the game by 2019.
