All I'll say to the new rimmers, is when you're out in the countryside, "wait" or manually save often. It's SO frustrating when you discover like 20 locations, collect tons of ingredients, then get killed by a bear and need to do it ALL again.

Me too! Took 3 shots from my trusty Daedric Bow . I have over 200,000 gold now and I'm level 58. Been working through the thieves guild quests. Archery is level 91 and lockpicking is 87. Those take AGES to level up. Wanna get 100 so I can get my unbreakable lockpick. Enjoying the thieves guild quests and characters though. Suppose it's because all I did at the start of the game was pickpocketing, but I enjoy their missions. And I just had my first encounter with the Dark Brotherhood and I'm looking forward to those quests too. Decided I'm a bit of a rebel and would rather rob and kill people than be a nice guy . Bit like in real life I suppose

I can confirm GTA 5 will be released before the end of this century. Unless it's delayed.

The article author, Amir Arrif, should stick to what he knows about (making bombs) rather than trying to understand how computer games work.

GTA V Apparently set in 2008?

Yeah Vampires and Harry Potter QDs are still tough to fight against if I can't sneak attack them, especially if there's lots coming in one go. The bow is only really good for medium range sneaking, close range combat with multiple targets needs the Sanguine Rose to spawn a Daedric warrior or whatever

Sure is. Only problem is the twats who use the gay magic powers on me. But Lydia sorts them out.
-
Dunno, it's usually just Weatherspoons who do them called Jagermonsters. It's literally just what I said. shot of Jager in monster energy drink. Never seen what you posted.
-
I tried to do it but he's just an Adept trainer so I don't think he offers the service anymore once you get to 60 or something. I really need to find someone else who does it. Don't care about the cost, it just takes AGES to level up archery. Apparently someone in the thieves guild does it.

I will be doing an iMap for GTA5, and if I've learned how to develop iPhone apps by then, I'll be making a few apps like 100% checklist, iMaps etc.

Takes a lot of time and effort (just like I put into writing this guide!) Basically you need to max out your Alchemy, Smithing and Enchantment. Alchemy Just gather ingredients. The most expensive potion I have made, and I think you can make, is Giant's Toe, Wheat and Crop Cluster. Thanks to my skills and enchantments etc I just made one of them worth 5400 gold. But obviously you'll start off a lot lower than that (maybe 700). Keep making them and the more expensive potions you make, the quicker it'll improve your Alchemy. Might be worth buying all of the ingredients from the shop in whiterun, making as many potions as you can, then wait 48 hours and buy everything else she has and repeat. Otherwise just collect stuff and keep making potions. Smithing Easiest one to max out. You just need a fair bit of gold (like 10k) and just go to Warmaiden's in whiterun and buy ALL his Iron Ingots and Iron Ore, then use the smelter to turn Ore into Ingots. You then need Leather Strips or Leather (converted into leather strips on the tanning thing). Can buy more Ingots from his female helper too. Wait 48 hours for the stock to refill then buy more. You need to create Iron Daggers using the smithing tool thing. Doesn't matter what you create, it all gives the same XP, but Iron Daggers only need 1 Leather Strip and 1 Iron Ingot (which are both cheap) so it makes the most sense to keep using them. You'll need to make maybe 400 or 500 Iron Daggers before you get to level 100. Once you have them, keep them. I use the drop item and get Lydia to pick it up trick to make her carry them all. Enchantment For this you need plenty of soul gems. Also go to the first stone you come across at the start of the game (just south of Riverwood) and get the Mage blessing or whatever it is. That improves magic skill learn-time by 20% so it'll go slightly quicker. Next head into Dragonsreach and to the room on the right with the bloke in the black robes. Buy ALL of the soul gems he has (if you have the cash, otherwise just buy the empty ones and go out and fill them on Mudcrabs or something). You'll also need to have some items which you can use to learn enchantments if you haven't done so already. Stuff like a sword of flames or whatever (although if you can find something with Paralysis and destroy it to learn that skill, enchanting items with Paralysis makes items more valuable). Then get your Iron Daggers back from Lydia and just keep creating Enchanted Iron Daggers (don't worry about the soul gem you use, I believe just the fact you enchanted something does the same XP). You can then sell your daggers to the bloke in the black robes, wait 48 hours, buy his new soul gems and repeat. You'll probably have to do this for like 5 hours to get to 100. PERKS (IMPORTANT) Don't waste your perks on stupid stuff like two handed etc. You NEED something like 20 of them to ensure you can make the best weapons and armor in the game. You want 5 perks in the first Alchemy, Smithing and Enchantment perks (effectively doubling their skill) and I'll have to confirm the rest you need later. Maxed Out Once you've reached 100 for the above mentioned 3 skills, you need to do a loop of creating enchanted Alchemy equipment, using that to make better Enchantment and Smithing potions, then using those potions to make even more powerful enchanted Alchemy equipment and repeat as long as you like. The equipment you can make to improve Alchemy includes: Falmer Helmet (See Boost Glitch below), Circlet, Gloves/Gauntlets, Necklace, Ring. Clothing to improve Smithing includes: Armor/Clothes, Gloves/Gauntlets, Necklace, Ring Then once you've created a potion that multiplies the Enchanting to something stupid like 37%, create Smithing gear (to go along with your fortify smithing potion) and you should be able to improve your weapons by around 200%. Just remember to take the potion right before you improve something. I'll update this with more details when I'm actually on the game, but that's the basics. Boost Glitch When you're out on your travels, make sure you collect as many Falmer Helmets as possible. There's a glitch in the game that lets you wear a Falmer Helmet AND a Circlet at the same time, meaning you can wear 5 Enchanted items which improve Alchemy instead of 4. Err, like I said, I'll update it but that's about all there is to it. With enough time and effort (I spent probably 20 hours just improving skills, enchanting and making potions to get to this point) you can make weapons and armor that improve everything to insane levels. My bow does over 400 damage when used with my apparel which improves bow damage, and my armor is improved to like 500+.

Lager for me. Kronenborg, Tuborg, Becks, San Miguel, Cobra. The odd Guinness every now and then. Carling or Carlsberg if there's nothing better at the bar... Then a Malibu and coke at the end of the night I do like Jagermonsters though (jager with Monster energy drink).

In a way it's good though because apart from arrows and lockpicks (and Daedra Hearts), there's not much else I need to spend any money on in the game anymore. Just looked into that Dragon Shout app and it's pointless. You need to add your own blips cos there's nothing else on it at the minute? Why has it taken that long to make? I could have built an iMap (see iRedDead) in a few hours once I had the full map ripped from the game...
-
I'm using Steel at the minute but I need to exploit a glitch in the thieves guild to spawn unlimited Daedric arrows. 24 damage! As opposed to the 10 I get currently...

Hah. I can 1 hit sneak kill a giant on master difficulty, and it takes 2 hits for a Mammoth (on Master). One hit on any other difficulty. Even when detected it can still take down a giant in 1 hit @Bones, I did have problems with my PS3. Game was quite laggy but my save was only 7MB or so. Then it killed my PS3... So I would say I had problems! I also downloaded that app, but like you said it's pretty pointless for me now. Level 54, got 140,000 coins, levelled up most of the physical attributes... Don't really need it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I fucking hate Nirvana nearly more than I'll hate whichever proud american wins Excrement Factor. Why can't we get Iron Maiden to number 1?
-
I'm like you Marney, I can't stand magic and unrealistic stuff like that, but you get used to it and realise that in some cases, you need to use it. You can of course go completely Warrior and only use physical attacks, which is what I do (mainly Bow & Arrow), but a little bit of magic helps a lot too, especially for stuff like healing yourself or spawning an NPC who fights for you etc.

Despite the fact that's clearly 2 spears in his THIGH

That's only cos GTA IV didn't have horses

Don't worry, apart from the glitch to re-read the book over and over (which you need to be level 15 to do anyway), the rest of the tricks still take plenty of hours to max out stats. Far as I'm concerned if it's in the game, use it. Don't care if it's an exploit or bug, it shouldn't be possible in the game if the devs didn't want you to do it.

Marney was going to say the CEO will die from an arrow to the knee, then he took an arrow to the knee.
-
You read the whole thread, yet you want him to take an arrow to the face?!?!?!
-
I can sneak attack kill a mammoth in 2 shots with my Daedric Bow. Giants go down in 2 as well.

So much rimming... Where to begin... I fought two dragons at once yesterday. Kinda. Two of them were flying around above me, I had 2 red dots on the map thing, but then one of them just fell down dead right in front of me and I absorbed it's soul. The other one landed right next to it and had like 25% health left so I killed it in a few hits and absorbed it's soul too. Weird, but cool. Free souls and dragon bones! Dunno if they were fighting each other, or if it was just a glitch. Another time a dragon just crash landed next to me, upside down and was nearly dead too. Guess they're too scared of my Daedric armour. Managed to rank up my Enchantment to 100 by buying all of the Dragonsreach guys soul gems then waiting 48 hours and buying them all again. Then enchanting my 400 iron daggers that I made when leveling up my smithing and selling them back to him. Got there eventually and I'm now in the region of 130,000 in profit. Used the perks to improve my enchantments, and then enchanted clothing which improved my alchemy and smithing. Then made an alchemy potion to improve my enchanting and smithing. Then used that potion to make even stronger Alchemy/smithing clothing, then repeated a few times. In the end I can boost my smithing to about 200% meaning I improved my Daedric bow to do over 200 damage and it's worth over 11,000. Not only that but I created a Giant's Toe and Wheat (most expensive) potion with my enchanted clothing on and it's worth over 4,000 gold Now have 100 skill for: Sneak Pickpocket Alchemy Enchanting Smithing Just started doing the quests. Only done like 6 side ones and 5 main ones. Mainly just been leveling my stuff up, but I'm pretty unstoppable now. Oh yeah, there's an invisible chest full of awesome items just to the left of the mine entrance in Dawnstar. Looks like it's full of a shop keeper's items but you can open it and take it all. If anyone cares I'll post proper instructions but there's probably a youtube video already. During the first quest at the magic college when you get given the gloves to clean stuff, they pretty much refill your magica instantly (or at least a lot more quickly) so you can use them to help you boost your magic by a lot of levels. Also there's an exploit to get infinite XP and level up all your skills to 100 by reading a book, but that's kinda spoiling it, although I might do it on PS3 once I start playing again because of the time and effort I've put into the PC version in the past week. Level 52 now in about 50 hours of play.
-
Boosted my speech to 100 last night which in turn has ranked me up to about level 25 or something (not bad for about 4 hours play). Pickpocketing is 67 or so now. Been stealing everything worth more than 50 gold from people . Was on my way to do probably my first quest since getting Lydia when I went into a cave and ended up fighting vampires for half an hour, catching their horrible disease. Hopefully I can remove it through a blessing before it gets too bad. Also got my new slim PS3 today. Assuming Playstation+ backed up my saves, I may be able to continue that game if I can be bothered to stop playing on PC.
