I think it could be a reference too how many days you have played GTA V's Online mode. Seeing as it's over the Multiplayer Icon's Avatar. And even if it's not, I would still say it involves GTA V's Online Mode in some way... -
Anyone else think that the things we might be stealing in these Heists might be more then just cash, jewels or gold bullion. That maybe the target could be human ~ Like for instance the mission seen in multiple previews and trailers, where the three protagonists kidnap the guy from the FIB Headquarters ( where Michael repels down the building ). This could perhaps be one of the 'Human Heists', where we are contacted by a criminal organisation or shadowy government figure and given a mission to kidnap a person from a heavily guarded building or safehouse. After which we receive a large sum of money upon delivery of the target ( and perhaps a bonus for doing it quietly and/or efficiently ).

Minigame/Activity Discussion
BlackSox9 replied to Joe King's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
With the Venice Beach Lifeguard Tower/ Headquarters pretty much being confirmed as in-game, I wonder whether there will be a Lifesaving mini game/ job included. With you rescuing drowning people by jet-ski, and/or maybe helicopter rescues for boat-crews caught in big storms and huge swells. The 'Vespucci Beach Lifeguard Tower' is located in the eastern corner of this screenshot from the Gameplay Trailer, while the real life counterpart the 'Venice Beach Lifeguard Tower' is below that ( notice the very similar shape of the Lifeguard Towers in both pictures/ and the pier in the background ) ~ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ Plus I was watching the Gameplay Trailer again and noticed that Trevor had a camouflage suit on when he started the Hunting Activity. And this made me wonder whether certain clothing could have an impact on the stealth of your character. The camouflage suit ( being different shades of green ) would obviously help in blending-in with the forest. But maybe dark or black clothing could be used to enhance your characters stealth at night. This could end up being similar to MGS3 Snake Eater's camouflage mechanic, where stealth was directly connected to a clothing's camouflage stats and it's ability to help you remain undetected. By camouflaging you from the enemy AI's line of sight. This could be possible because GTA V's cops have been described as having a cone of vision that they use to try and find you during wanted levels ( as explained in the 'Game Informer' Preview ). Could be cool if camouflage had an affect on Stealth during other missions and when free-roaming, and not just in the Hunting Activity...- 152 replies

This is based purely on speculation, but I have an idea about one of the Heists shown in the gameplay trailer. The one I'm referring to is in the Screenshot below ~ Notice the picture of the Boat/Ship with a red circle around it, which looks to be the target of the Heist. In the picture, the ship is docked at what looks to be one of the wharfs in a dockyard. The wharfs ( or piers ) in the screenshot look like they have red X's drawn on them. Now I don't exactly know what this could mean, but I'll hazard a guess that it could mean that the Wharfs ( Piers ) are to be destroyed with explosives. I also think that one of the options in the Heist is to sink the ship as well, and then have one ( probably only one judging by the arrows on the diagram ) of the protagonists dive down to steal the precious cargo. The evidence is in another screenshot in the same Trailer ( towards the beginning ), where there is what looks to be a sunken cargo ship next to a sunken wharf/pier with what looks to be containers and cranes in the wreckage ( the two Cranes stand out because of their yellow colour). The sunken Cargo Ship and Pier ( which I think are part of the heist in the other screen ) are in the screenshot below ~ Anyone agree/ disagree? Plus does anyone have any information about what this heist could possibly be about? Or what the target might be?

Did anyone notice the Pet Shop called "The Ark" in the Gameplay Trailer? Could be a real in-game store where we can purchase additional pets, like different breeds of dog, cats or birds. Or maybe something more exotic like an alligator or a tiger? -
Money (and things to buy with it)

It's also a parody of "Ball Sack"... -
Hopefully we can customize the properties we buy, like renovating the interior to suit our own personal tastes. And maybe buying different furniture to decorate your place, like for instance; bigger TV's/ Home Cinema's, indoor Jacuzzi's/ Spa's, different Artworks/ Paintings, Hidden Armouries full of weapons, a Big Safe in your bedroom, Bigger Garages, Stripper Poles, Fish Tanks/ Shark Tanks etc...

Did anyone notice the Time Dilation/ Slow-Down when Franklin brought up the weapon wheel at 03:14 in the video. Should make changing weapons on the fly in mid-combat a little bit easier. Overall the combat looked a lot more fluid, smoothly blind firing from cover and transitioning very fast into the combat jog picking off targets along the way. Then changing weapons in the blink of an eye ( from the enemies perspective ), to continue taking out targets with a different weapon more suitable for distant targets ( going from the pistol to the carbine assault rifle ). If you couple the Weapon-Wheel Slow-Down effect, with Michaels Bullet-Time ability. Michael could almost permanently be able to slow down time and remain untouchable. ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ Also wouldn't it be cool if you could influence the Stock Market. Like say going into one of the Clothing Department Stores and shooting all the customers and staff. The massacre is then on the next News Bulletin, and the Stock in the company takes a big nose dive. After which you decide to capitalize on the misfortune by buying as much stock in the company as you can afford. Then you go back to the store a week later and buy a ton of hats, shirts, pants, watches and chains, worth thousands of dollars to boost the company's share price back up. And once the shares have more then doubled their original price, you sell all your stock in the company, and double or perhaps even triple your money... -

Not necessarily, just because 1000 customizations sounds like a big number, doesn't really mean that the actual customization is that in-depth. Remember that this number covers every car and bike in the game, so how many customizations would each individual vehicle have/ and how deep is the customizability of each vehicle. I saw the customization for the vehicles, and I wasn't overly impressed by the one tone colour scheme for the car shown ( even though there was 75 of them ). Where were the more complex options for decaling? Or the Body Kits? Where was the in-depth paint job customization? All that was shown was a one colour option similar to the random colour change at Pay-n-Spray's in GTA lV. Maybe RockStar couldn't afford to take the time to render all the possible variations of paintjobs needed for more in-depth customization ( which would sacrifice graphical performance ). So far I would say that the car customization looks like it is relatively shallow ( kind of like San Andreas's vehicle customization was ). -

It looked like an open-world Free Roam to me, with at least 20 people ( probably 24 judging by the Dev numbers ). I know I saw up to 19 people, and the others could of been out of camera view. -

Same. I didn't think much about the rectangular mini-map either. Hopefully the HUD looks a little more polished when the game's released. -

Even the tyres on the BMX bikes look great. I guess there will be a 'real' visual difference between on and off-road tyres for cars and motorbikes as well. -

Not only Property Investment but a fully fledged Stock Market as well. The Car Customization looks great as well, same with the clothing and tattoos... -

It's 07:15 AM in New York right now, and the Trailer comes out at 10:00AM. So 3 hours from now. And while it's 7:15AM in New York, it's 9:15PM right now in Sydney. Which means if we count forward 3 hours, it should be out at midnight in Sydney. And if Perth is 2 hours behind Sydney, then it should come out at 10:00PM there. *Edit Didn't know that Perth was only 2 hours behind us in Winter, don't you guys have Daylight Savings? -

Sorry my mistake, it will happen exactly 3 hours before midnight then. So 09:00PM in Perth, if it's midnight in Sydney. Or 10:00PM if it's 01:00AM in Sydney. This Time-Zone shit is always confusing. it would be easier if they just put the times for each individual city... -

What time is it released in Australia ( East Coast )? *Edit O.K if it's 06:00AM in New York now, and it's released at 10:00AM there. And it's 08:00PM here in Sydney, that means... Midnight, O.K. then. -
July 2nd Rockstar Q&A
BlackSox9 replied to eXo Mirakle's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
I think the reason why we are getting early info on GTA V's Multiplayer ( along with the gameplay trailer ), is because Rockstar is very confident of the product they have. They want to make sure that every gamer knows that GTA V will be their best game ever, and will probably end up being one of the best games of this generation. I don't know about you guys, but the Boldness Rockstar is showing tells me that they have a game which is exponentially better than GTA lV. And that's saying something, because GTA lV is a 10 out of 10 game. -
What are you looking for in GTA5?
BlackSox9 replied to Qdeathstar's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Maybe there could be a deep sea trench in the ocean, far off the coast. Inside the trench is a deep chasm, and you need a submarine to reach it's deepest depths. Eventually the chasm opens out into a huge area of inky blackness. You journey further into the seemingly endless depths, only to discover massive structures made out of an unknown material, which look to be the ruins of an ancient civilization. But why was this seemingly advanced and hidden city abandoned? Suddenly you hear noises somewhere in the pitch black darkness behind you... ...unsettling and disturbing noises... You feel like something malevolent is watching you, following and stalking your every movement. Waiting for the right time to strike. To be continued... -
It feels like the release date is right around the corner. O.K. now Rockstar, enough is enough. Stop teasing us with this wallpaper bullshit, this artwork has been around for ages. It's time for the Gameplay vid or the Online info... Sometimes I think Rockstar just does this to spark conversations in the forums on the various gaming websites. And then sit-back with an evil smirk on their face, watching as the unwashed masses make uninformed statements and stupid theories regarding the content of this great Juggernaut. * Not that all of you are unwashed or stupid...

Even though the information in the Vid is second hand ( and at the beginning of the vid there was MW3 bullshit ), it sounds plausible enough to be true ( the vertigo effects sounded pretty interesting as well ).
