  1. So I'm guessing you're hoping there are no street gangs whatsoever. Is that really an accurate representation of L.A. today? His eyes are definately Fucked Up! It will probably be fixed by the time the game is released.
  2. I like the Creedence Clearwater Revival version ( and I like a lot of their other songs as well ). But 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' is much more of a 'Soul Song' to me than a 'Rock Song'. Especially the way Marvin Gaye sings it. The way I see it is that Soul comes from the heart, and that the Real Soul Artists, take all the pain and sorrow they've felt throughout their lives and use it as their muse when they sing. And that song really makes me feel something when I hear Marvin Gaye's version, much more than CCR's version, their version doesn't end up having the same impact for me. But if you feel the opposite, that's O.K.
  3. Some great music for one of the classic music stations: Stevie Wonder ~ Superstition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=rhw_zbvxvb4 ~ You probably heard his other song 'Skeletons' in GTA V's Trailer 2, but this one is probably his best and is definately my favourite. Jimi Hendrix ~ All Along The Watchtower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AuxJH2Mj30&feature=player_detailpage ~ The Master of Guitar and Psychedelic Genius Jimi Hendrix, this is one of his better songs. Black Sabbath ~ Paranoid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz_6jagv_D4&feature=player_detailpage ~ One reason Ozzy Ozbourne is remembered as more than a spaced out druggo. Dick Dale ~ Miserlou: ~ You probably first heard it in Pulp Fiction, Dick Dale uses break neck guitar work for this solo. He was known for his expeimentation with Reverberation in his music. The Stranglers ~ Golden Brown: ~ Remember the song from Snatch.Booker T & the MG's ~ Green Onions: ~ Another Classic which would be great for cruising to.Marvin Gaye ~ I Heard It Through The Grapevine: ~ You can really hear his soul through his lyricsI hope the classic music station has some songs like these.
  4. I second that, for the no more random lane changing part. It's like the motherfuckers are intentionallly trying to cut you off, and get in your way when they see you coming along behind them. It takes me like 10 minutes just to get across one of the bridges in GTA lV. Just because after someone cuts me off, I have to park my car so it blocks the road infront of them, I then get out and shoot the driver, as well as any passengers who are also in the car, along with anyone honking their horns at me. This ends up happening multiple times to me before I finally get off the bridge. And ofcourse the police interfere with my efforcement of other drivers road etiquette, and I end up having to correct them as well. It drives me crazy. All in all it would be much easier if the traffic in GTA V was better, compared to the aggravating crash into my car ( just after I visited a Pay N Spray ) every second of GTA lV. Accept it would be ten times worse because Rockstar's bringing back Car Modification for V. So your car which you just spent 1000's of dollars on get's rammed seconds after you modded it, wouldn't that piss you off?
  5. i think that if you mash Liberty city together, and get rid of the water inbewteen the islands, I think thats the basic size of Los santos. i know the forest wll be pretty big, but around LA there is more of a presence of desert. so i think the desert region will be the largest. The prison will be pretty large also, but i dont expect it to be a major part of the map. I do expect for a desert airstrip, like GTA SA, and i think that grapeseed will be up in the foothils of the moutains and the forest, possibly in a U shaped valley with the mountains surrounding it. the maps ive seen are also very linear.IMO the map will be spread out up and down, but also to the east of the city. The desert ( like ive stated above) is a major part of So-cal's geography, not as much as the mountains above. Some large Salt Flats would be good as well. Since the real L.A. has something like that nearby, and because I would like a large, flat and open space to test out the performance and top speeds of some of the better cars.
  6. It was built with the Xbox 360 in mind. Then a rough port was made for the PS3. This was done because Bethesda knew that they would have more sales for the 360, and thus made that version superior. Bethesda couldn't give a fuck about PS3 users, otherwise they would of worked with Sony on these issues. Just look at Fallout 3 and New Vegas as well, I bet they didn't even hire play testers for the PS3 Versions. And if they did, then they knowingly released broken games. Just 2 Cents from a Playstation Fanboy, who hopes that both Fallout 4 and the next Elder Scrolls Game run just a little bit better on the PS4.
  7. Looking at this map, some of these names are just rediculous,,, "fruit town piru" "fudge town crips" lol its so stupid these guys kill each other when they are in the same gang, Crips killing crips, bloods killing pirus, shits stupid. Gangbanging in general is just stupid. But people have been killing each other for thousands of years, so why should we stop now?
  8. There may be no Blood Gangs in Compton itself ( even though there are plenty of Piru Sets ), but there seems to be several Blood Sets in nearby Watts and Willowbrook. Here is a map of some of the main Gangs in that area: http://maps.google.c...0.1218,0.264187 The map maybe 5 years old, but it's probably still relevant.
  9. The Mexican Mafia is more than just a prison gang. I have read a couple of books about them, and they seem to have control over the majority of latino street gangs in Southern California. The Italian and Russian Mobs are both in Los Angeles along with other Syndicated Criminal Groups. There are a ton of Biker Gangs in and around L.A. After all California was the birthplace of Biker Gangs. Black ~ Crip and Blood gangs still have a presence, even though they are outnumbered by hispanic gangs now by something like 50 to 1. They still survive because they have some of the most violent sets in Los Angeles. You are right about the racial tension between Black and Hispanic Gangs. The Mexican Mafia has used this in recent years to call a truce between most of the hispanic gangs in Los Angeles and San Diego, and to even get them to band together to control the drug market in their areas, and target Black Gangs with a concerted effort of attacks. For a while they even banned Drive By's on any Brown Flagged Set. So in Summary I would say that the Los Angeles area has a great potential for crime, from a street level, right up to more proffesional criminal organizations. The perfect setting for a GTA game.
  10. The paint on the road looks a little too good/clean. But other than that, the mod looks real nice. Can't wait to see what the real GTA V looks like.
  11. I get started, and can't stop typing till I've gotten most of my ideas out, then I usually have to force myself to stop. Otherwise that post would of been twice as long.
  12. Your probably right. God I hate homicidal maniacs. i hate the people who blame that shit on video games even more. I agree. These are the same people that seem to think that Video Games are a Children's Pastime, even though the average age of a gamer is about 30 Years of Age. These same people jump to conclusions when it comes out that a mass murderer played videogames. They look at it from an outsiders perspective ( Parents/ Politicians/ and Lawyers looking to make a quick buck ), and without any understanding of gaming as a genre or even in a general sense, think that they can make an informed judgement on a case involving many factors, most importantly being Gun Control and Mental illness. Countless Studies have found that there has been no correlation or causation between violence portrayed in a video game, and violence being then re-enacted in reality. There have been some studies that have seen an increase in agression because of the competetive nature of a game, but this was also shown for non-violent games, and usually dissipated within a couple of hours or less. The fact of the matter is that most adults that are menatally stable individuals, can tell the difference between violence in a game and violence in reality. Both in the difference in the effects of their actions, and in any repurcussions they would then be subject to if they were to commit such acts of violence. Only a very small minority of people decide to commit these acts of extreme violence, and they probably do so out of individual problems with their personal lives or with society in general. Even if games did play a part in the causation of this persons actions, it was only one of a number of many triggers culminating in mass murder, and it would not even of been one of the major triggers. And all of these anti-gaming advocates that say that violent games dehumanise people, and desensitize them to violence. They forget one major principle that defines humanity as a whole, and that is that Violence is one of the Base Insticts of Human Nature. And one that will not disappear in the near future, or for some time to come. This along with Society's Apathy towards violence and other important social problems, are probably the major causes for the wide-spread violence you see in America and around the rest of the western world today. If in the future Western Society can come up with a structure that is more fair than Democracy in it's present form, I think we would see a major de-escalation in violence, and in crime in general. But just look at America ( the so-called leaders of the Western/ Free World ), it is one of the biggest proponents of inequality, just look at the way they view socialism. Due to some very smart propaganda from the Right-Wing there, the word has become abhorrent to the majority of people, and something like a Public Health care system is seen as a precursor to Communism, America's old enemy ( which is of course a joke ). I find it almost funny sometimes ( if it wasn't so sad ), that society is so shocked when things like this happen. And that they wonder what could of caused such unspeakable acts of violence. They don't think for a second that they themselves are to blame, every one of them wants to blame the individual that enacted the violence, but don't want to face the realities about what caused the problem in the first place. They voted for the government, and elected representatives in their Senate and Parliament, who pass the legislation for mental health care reform and the laws surrounding gun control. But what it ultimately comes down to is how we treat one another, on a human level. Because in the end we're the ones who disrespect one other and ridicule the weak and different. We assault one another, we lie, cheat and steal from one another. We cause other's to hate the world their in, and the society which seems to support inequality. Sometimes I can almost understand what some of these murderers went through before they decided on their course of action, even if I can't condone what they've done. A lot of other people don't want to put themselves in a detestable persons shoes, but if you want to fix the problem you first need to understand the causes. Just some of my opinions on the matter.
  13. Dear iBeNiko: Bioshock Infinite is being developed by Irrational Games, which is owned by Take Two Interactive and is being released in March. Take Two also owns Rockstar Games the developers of Grand Theft Auto V. So you may see the conflict of interest there by releasing the two games too close together, and having them compete against one another for sales. Therefore I think ( and some of the other members have also mentioned this in their previous posts ), that GTA V will be released sometime late in April or in early May. So as to give Bioshock Infinite at least a full month to gain a headstart in sales, seperate from all of the attention GTA V will no doubt get after it's release. Also it wouldn't be released too late in May, because 1 - E3 will be in early June, and will probably feature the nex-gen consoles as well as nex-gen games, taking some attention away from GTA V. And 2 - Take Two would probably like to get as many sales as they can for GTA V before their end of financial year report.
  14. There should also be a way of upgrading your body armour as well. Like say soft vest body armour for resistance to melee weapons, reinforced hard plate or kevlar ballistic armour for protection against firearms, then maybe one that encompasses both. After that you could turn yourself into a human tank with heavily reinforced armour, that could protect your entire body from any firearm attack accept for maybe an RPG. Like say the armoured suit at the beginning of Lethal Weapon 4. Then you could go on a killing spree causing as much mayhem as you like before the military comes to put you down. All without the need for cheats or camping in an easily defensible position ( with no chance of being flanked ).
  15. If there is going to be a regenerating health meter, then the difficulty scale needs to be ramped up considerably from GTA lV.
  16. Tieing people to the back of your car and driving around town with them. Watching as they're dragged along the ashphalt behind you screaming in agony and begging you to stop.
  17. Implement a purchaseable car insurance feature into the game for any car/bike you currently own/have. Then if your car gets destroyed, just ring the insurance company number on your phone to have a brand new car ( same model as the old one ) delivered straight to one of your garages. Problem Solved.
  18. Sounds very plausible since he did a number of tracks in GTA lV. Looks like Rockstar is searching for underground artists to fill the 'good music vacuum' that we have from contemporary music.
  19. Yeah I think I rambled a bit too much. Ignore half the crap I wrote I was tired. The game is still great but.
  20. p.s. bOnEs where are you? this is the sort of game i'd expect you to be playing! If you do in fact read this, FC3 pisses all over FC2 in a good way. You shouldn't get too bored with this game, as there's plenty to do, not to mention co-op gameplay (which is independent from the story) and competitive multiplayer, but that's a bonus. The Single player is well worth the price. - Best game last (2012) year. I agree, this is my 2012 Game of the Year as well. Every other game last year feels dissapointing in comparison to Far Cry 3. The environment is so interesting to explore, with the terrain being so diverse, going from small islands and underwater ship wrecks surrounded by shark infested waters. To valleys deep in the jungle with tigers, bears and komodo dragons in them. Caves and old forts in the hills with loot, relics and lost letters from the past in them, full of mystery. There are Crocodiles lurking in the rivers waiting for you to walk by on the bank or swim past ( they're the only animal you can't target with your camera, so you never really know where they are ). The vehicles are heaps good as well, from the suped up Buggy ( fastest vehicle in the game, but with the engine exposed in the rear ), to the Quad Bike which is perfect for off-roading through the bush ( other vehicles might not be as agile or be able to fit between the smaller gaps ). And the vehicles with mounted guns which when properly deployed own everything on the island, the Technical is good but the gunner platform isn't well protected from gunfire like the Armoured Scavenger is. And I would say the patrol boat is better than the RHIB, because even though it's slower it's gunner platfrom is better protected, and the rest of the boat is generally better armoured as well. When you pick up the evasive driving perk that gives commandeered vehicles 50% extra health and the cool gunner perk which doubles the amount of time you can fire mouted guns before they overheat, nothing can stop you. You can also take the repair torch to repair the vehicle after a firefight. But really the game is at it's best when you're stalking through the jungle, using your camera to tag patrolling pirates so you can quckly shoot the first one with the bow, then before the other one knows what happened, stick your knife straight through his kneck. Or the ability to take on outposts any way you see fit. From sneaking into the compound with a silenced weapon, going through a hole in the fence to stab and head-shot everyone in the place like a ghost. Or sitting on a hill surveying all the enemies for a minute or two getting to know their patrol routes, and silently picking them off one by one with your suppresed sniper rifle, taking time to headshot every one. Or you could take the Rambo approach and strap C4 to a scavenger ( jeep ), and drive that straight through the gates bailing out to trigger it right in the middle of a group of surprised-looking pirates ( attaching C4 also works for the Hang-Glider as well ). Then pull out a machine gun or maybe the flame thrower and rain death on everything that moves, chucking molotoves and grenades as you go. It's so much fun experimenting and thinking up different ways of taking outposts and patrols, setting up C4 traps all over the camp, then shooting the door off of a tiger cage and watching as it draws all of the pirates attention, then setting off your carefully placed C4 trap, and then multi take-downing the last few left alive after the inital attack. You can also ambush the mobile patrols with mines, and this usually draws some more enemies to the scene to see what happened ( other vehicles or on foot ), which you can then ambush using whatever weapons and tactics you want. On the Warrior difficulty head on attacks can be risky, because you can die pretty quickly from concentrated fire ( especially from vehicle-mounted machine guns ), so it's great that you can actually flank around their position to attack them from the side or behind them. This wouldn't work in some other games because once an enemy has seen you they automatically always know where you are. But that's not the case in this game, since once you've broken their line of sight, and taken out any attack dogs on your tail they will continue to search your last known location ( where they last physically saw you ), or they will keep heading in the direction you were last seen heading in ( this means you can also set up some traps for them ), you can then use the terrain to flank them. Turning the hunters into the hunted. Couple this with the enemies smart AI, that sets up searches when gunshots are heard in the distance and comes looking for you ( even when they're pretty far away ). When they chase your vehicle and they lose sight of you, and you bail out of it to hide in the jungle they stop where your vehicle is and spread out to search that area. Also the first thing any of the guards will do in an outpost if they see you is set off the alarm to warn all other pirates in the vicinity ( not just in the camp, because I've seen nearby water patrols come to their aid ), and to also call for reinforcements which will have mounted guns on their jeeps and who only take about 30 seconds to reach the outpost ( it's a good idea to have an RPG or Grenade Launcher for them ). Having different enemy types like machete wielding berserkers, snipers, molotove throwers, armoured heavies. And the different groups, from the more poorly equiped pirates to the better armed and organised mercenaries. The Music and Sound Design are top notch, songs on the radio are catchy but don't take away from the atmosphere of the island and jungle, the sound of the an arrow being successfully fired into an enemy is soo goood, and really makes you feel like the ultimate badass ( like Rambo on some Hardcore Drugs ). The RPG features help turn you from a fresh-faced noob, into a Master Hunter of the deadliest game of all; MAN. I'm not kidding, no other game makes hunting people such an Artform, stalking and killing pirates should be made a national pastime, and when you have all or most of the perks and the game inevitably starts getting easier. It doesn't even matter, because it's so satisfying mastering all of the combat elements and combining them together to silently and efficiently slaughter everything in you way. The Story missions are great as well with great characters in the cut scenes and interesting design for the actual missions themselves. But the game really shines when your just exploring the islands yourself; hunting animals, collecting relics/letters/memory cards/loot chests, climbing radio towers, killing pirate patrols, taking outposts, playing poker, doing races ( jet ski ones are great ), and generally just soaking up the ambience. This is just a great game, and I'm only halfway through it. Just do yourself a favour and take your time with it. Try not to plough straight through the story missions all at once, and try and just explore the island, and enjoy this unbelievable game world that Ubisoft has made for you. PS. If you're reading this and you haven't bought Far Cry 3, stop what you're doing and go out and buy this game. PPS. If this game sells well enough a Far Cry 4 is inevitable for the nex gen consoles ( and PC of course ), and can you imagine what that would be like ( Holy Shit! ).
  21. Driving through the jungle even off-road seems easy for me. I actually like the HUD, and haven't went off a cliff yet. What totally sucks is your recursive bow L0L. On the hunting missions, it takes like what 500 arrows to kill a leopard? Mine is fully modded as well, primo scope. It makes that funny downward video effect thing when it shoots. Got through the scarlet kimodo well enough, but it's not happening for the 4 leopards, with Hunter's Instinct or even Deadly Hunter. Maybe shooting up with "Untouchable" or "Touch of Death" syringes... Have all the weapons, all modded, and the signature weapons as well. *Those things rock* That bow is the only one I can't master.....what is the F*&*ing secret here dude? L0L can't wait until I figure it out, I bet it's something simple. Just cheat and take the Bull Shotgun with you on the Hunting Challenges. Everything usually dies from one shot up close anyway. You can't. They make you use a specific weapon for each path of the hunter and if you use a different one you fail the mission. Yeah I just played some of the missions today. It makes sense though, since it wouldn't be much of a challenge with the signature weapons.
