i5 2500k kills off the i7 for gaming basically. i7's main benefit is hyperthreading and games don't use it yet. If this guy is rendering HD video 40 hours a week he's kosher with an i7, but atm games rarely take advantage of ht.

Are you trying to imply they're trying to create a monopoly? Definately, especially with cross-platform marketing. I mean every time you see an add for Call of Duty on TV, which console do you see advertised at the end. It sure isn't the PS3. I think this is just another factor in Microsoft's conerstone of the Casual Gaming market. Sony have done so much anti competitive (and downright shitty to consumers) shit it's unreal. Lik Sang, Removal of Other OS, Geohot etc. The list goes on. They are NOT saints, and paying for your users to get DLC early or to have your brand advertised is hardly monopolistic. Monopolistic is when you use your power to force others out of business (Sony suing a fucking IMPORT business is a pretty damn big example of this) and don't mention the 1998 anti trust-microsoft trial. Its ridiculous that was ruled against Microsoft considering they bailed out Apple who were on the brink of bankruptcy.

Sweet build, but personally I'd wait if your getting it just for GTA V until the release is closer. There was the Doom 3 fiasco where a card was marketed as being perfect to run it (the decal on the fan was of Doom etc). The game ended up getting delayed, and by the time it was released the card sucked at running it.

Absolutely love Halo 2. Spent more time on the multiplayer than most games I play now.

Melee in GTA IV did suck. I've never seen a street fight as slow as the ones in that game. GTA IV was a major step back IMO, San Andreas was rife with features and endless with possibilities. Then you get a far slower POS like GTA IV. Poor beta test that shouldn't have been released. Hopefully San Andreas wont have ridiculous physics where bailing from a car and just the damage from the bail can kill you.

All of these plans you guys have suck. I pay £10 a month for my sim and I get 250 mins of free calls, free calls to people on the same network, free texts, and truely free internet (NO RESTRICTIONS), tethering allowed afaik but i dont do that.

The frame rate issues look to be the way the video is encoded. Even at 720p it looks like garbage, which makes me think they forced it to 720p and probably actually recorded at maybe 480p.

You don't need dev kits for modding. Development kits are used to run unsigned code, so developers can just burn a copy (or ftp it over) and run the current build, which is possible on jtag units too. Most games have physics values in text files (on PC) so you generally only need special tools when it comes to replacing textures or models that are in a single file, like GTA San Andreas's .img files.

Our school got the shit of the shit too. There was an asian kid who came from a school on the other side of my city for stabbing a kid in the eye with a pencil, my school was the only one that would take him. The first day he got the shit beat out of him by a year 7 (he was in year 10) just so he wouldn't try to act tough here.

My school was really shitty at that time. Probably the worst in my city perhaps. There was once a riot that I think was race related. I missed it by about a few seconds because me and my buddies pushed in with the IT teacher to get through the line faster withour burgers and chocolate milk, then lied to the people who made sure you didn't have food with you when you were going outside that we were doing work in a classroom and came down to take our lunch back. Five seconds after we got through the doors there was a bunch of loud bangs (which were seemingly chairs being thrown) and a tonne of shouting. After all was said and done, a bunch of paki kids had fucked off home to get knives, a dinner lady was KO'd, the walls had marks all over them where chairs and tables and shit had been thrown and the year 7's got to go home 15 minutes early. The few times I actually did play football at break I sat in defense talking to a friend who was a keeper (and a good one at that) and when the ball came I'd boot it to the other side of the gras (it's basically a dirt field with all this red stones shit all over it) or slam into somebody. No rules in red gras football.
