I had 3 fights in the entirity of secondary school (two were with teachers). I had more in my first school but generally that was against new kids who weren't really aware of who I was. I was in Year 7 for the first one which was against a small asian kid. I was always hanging around with what you'd class as the nerd kids because they had the same interests as me when one day in class he began shit talking one for no reason and threw a pen at my head. Now imagine a 5'3 kid who weighs roughly 120lbs jumping a table and head butting him before laying into him. That's me. I got in trouble for this one but he got the worst of the blame somehow. I didn't even get any shit even though it was a completely one sided fight. My second one was year 8, with a arrogant dickhead of a gym teacher. I NEVER did shit in gym because I could never be bothered (unless it was rounders or dodgeball, which I was surprisingly good at). Put bluntly one day the bottom set (my set) and the top set (aka the jocks) were put together to play football. As usual I didn't do shit and somebody passed the ball right to me and my buddy. We didn't want to do shit so we just stepped aside and let it roll to somebody behind us. Que douchebag gym teacher running over and giving us shit. My pal was pretty scared (he's the smaller geeky type) I really didn't care because it was just gym. During the course of him completely over reacting to us making a joke of a lesson that's a joke anyway he called me a retard. Big mistake. I fucking HATED that word, even when people werent saying it to me. At that point I ended up going into some kind of invulnerability rage mode, doing some kind of a spear and took him to the ground, this began a 15 minute long standoff where I somehow found my way into back mount and refused to let go (two assistants trying to pull me off) while half choking him out and laying punches into him when I could - the entire time this wannabe tough guy was sat with his hands protecting his face. I didn't get in trouble for this one either. It was very one sided and they sorta just swept it under the carpet despite the fact besides calling me a retard he hadn't done shit. Quite odd. The final time was with some foreign exchange teacher. He tried to tell me to do work and refused to have any of it when I showed him I'd completed it and was helping a buddy. Que him telling me to stand up and an argument, I musta got him wound up enough because he pushed me, I pushed him back and he went to the floor and got back up looking pissed. Nothing else actually came of it and this one never even left the classroom (besides this story) I did that with golf balls. We were told to aim for certain areas to get points (it wasn't just hit far as fuck), unfortunately about 50 feet beyond those were the windows of the Maths block, two windows got put through (one of which was by my ball) and our group didn't do golf again for the rest of the year. Not too bad really. Golf was a pain in the arse and we were doing it in december and we got to do dodgeball inside instead.

Does anyone here actually remember life without the internet?
narcolepsy replied to Qdeathstar's topic in General Discussion
Yeah actually. I got my first taste of a PC when I was 3 and after that I never actually had regular internet access until I was 6 or so. The time without it was dire. Mainly subsided by mega drive (which was basically all I did). That was the family PC and it was very poor. Probably a low end pentium 2 with 64 mb's of ram IF that. We had 25.6kb dial up for 5 years, and we enjoyed it. BT Openworld, free after 6PM so we never used it before then (we were very poor). Getting 256/64 broadband in 2005 was a god send. Runescape stopped fucking sucking. I still have the keyboard we used with it laying around somewhere, Every key had the decal worn off because it was that old. I remember the first website I ever used. Yahooligans, followed by Mamamedia - For the record that website hasn't changed a bit since 2002. There was a game on it (roblox) that I was obsessed with. Generally my first actually internet interest i'd say. I also used a website named Alfy which had nice stories with music. - Basically led to my ridiculously high reading age as it got into me into reading. My first website was around 2002 - A geocities one I made myself in notepad with a little help from some people online. I made my first forum in 2005 when I got my own PC with invision which taught me about as much as a free forum could about forum administration. It was a very early pentium 4 with 256 mb's of ram and a 80gb hard drive. Quite sophisticated to say it was my own PC. I had a Piczo website which generally pissed me off. I hate this era of "grab a template and make your shit". Mine was always better than the other peoples at school because I added my own (and html I pikied from places) I remember posting on forums right after 9/11 happened, very upsetting for me I'd say. I was very unsocialable as a child and many of my friends were online, and american so I kind of identified myself as one of them. Between 2002 and 2005 I seemed to backtrack.Up until then I'd tried to use good grammar as it was pretty important back then. In 2005 I did that horrible txt speak on MSN and forums. Partially the reason I got banned from the old forums in 2005. I remember my first hotmail account had 2005 in the name, despite being created in 2002. Maybe I'll add some more about my early online exploits later. -
GTA V screenshots re-made in GTA San Andreas!

I still like them. I think GTA IV's were an eyesore. -
112ms isn't bad at all. Yeah it isn't high but It's usable. Try playing a game over wireless where you get 250+ ping. Terrible.
-
I kinda feel bad to kill the joke but lower ping is better. Ping is measured in ms (milliseconds) and i guess the simplest way to put it is the higher ping = the longer it takes for the game to shoot your gun or react to your input. It causes lag.

If you think spending £600 now = a computer useless next year you're out of your mind. Oh and top dollar doesn't always get you the best bang for your buck. A card could be the newest released but could be total junk. The 480 was a $499 card but while being a competent card had ridiculous temperatures.

I wouldn't go as far as heroin. I definitely think pot should be legalized though. I think there wouldn't be an issue with overcrowded jails and less money wasted.
-
an issue of OPM from 2001.

It's pizza. How can a different topping make it a disgrace?
-
The Japanese have pizzas with mayonnaise on...

Is this game still not finished? They were advertising a supposedly close to completion build of the game in OXM march 2008

Stolen from http://maddox.xmission.com/ lol Anyway, going to a Turkish place tonight. Gyro or Falafel Sandwich (I like both). no shit lol. It still rings true. Po'boys is too damn dry.

Demolition Derby.

I know right? Fuck all those dying patients who use pot as a pain killer and the people who use it for (but not limited to) "amelioration of nausea and vomiting, stimulation of hunger in chemotherapy and AIDS patients, lowered intraocular eye pressure (shown to be effective for treating glaucoma), as well as gastrointestinal illness."
-
Here are the steps to making a po-boy sandwich: Get seafood (crab, crawfish, shrimp or oysters). Remove all moisture and flavor by deep frying it at 800 degrees. Serve on a dry bun. Keep gauze and water nearby to soak up the blood from the roof of your mouth, and rehydrate yourself to replenish your life force when finished.

Actually. I'd say onions are the ones that are incidentally everyones favourite food.

The BF3 (Formerly CoD) crowd has moved to it.

That's kickass man. I'm on crutches at the moment and I'm completely useless. Props for pulling stuff like that off

I agree that all the perks are dumb, but the aiming is my main point. It's (if anything) easier to kill people in Call of Duty because the have less health than in CS, but as a lover of realism you should be all over that. I played CS GO for the first time the other day, having never really played previous CS games to a serious extent - I was immediately at the top of the player list, and I'm not your 10th prestige FPS fanboy, in fact, I don't really play FPS's aside from RB6 Vegas and BF3. People say how hard it is, and it's much easier than CoD, aiming has nothing to do with that. The aiming probably just makes the game feel unpolished and archaic. Lets just hope Halo 4 has iron sights, otherwise I won't be buying it. The game is far easier than it's predecessors. Give 1.6 a bash and prepare to cry when some polish guy goes 17-0 on you.

Aww what?
-
No shit. I never stated anywhere it was 100% fact. Of course you can compare something if its different. Lets say Xbox was full of spackers and PSN had pro gamers, would you still not compare it and say "I think PSN is better"? I bought a beat up PS3 long after my issues with the online solely to play blu-rays. Pro tip: "because it wouldn't read games (Blu-ray movies were kosher)" would certainly imply I only bought it to watch movies.

Jesus christ. What? lol Downton Abbey is crap lmao.

UFC 151 is cancelled. Chael Sonnen is running his mouth as usual but he didn't deserve to be in the damn octogon with JJ. He's just coming off a loss from Silva and hasn't done shit to prove he deserves it. Not to mention JJ was training for Hendo and not Sonnen. Jones didn't duck Sonnen. Sonnen isn't a fly on Jon's ass. The most dissapointing thing is the rest of the card has just been scrapped. I wish the UFC had kept making calls and tried to find ANYONE to take the Jones fight no matter what the cost.
