If you look at the benchmarks between the major cards 2 years ago and the major cards now it's evident there is absolutely no slow progression. AMD and nVIDIA are constantly one upping each other. Very competitive at the moment. Kepler is an absolute power house and doesn't have the temperature fiasco's the fermi's had, and 7990 is susposed to be right around the corner. Can't wait to see what AMD have in store. Oh and crap, that skin benchmark really brings back memories.

Speaking of the recent incident I saw this on an advertisement for a Dark Knight themed dinner box from pizza hut "Is that really appropriate in the light of recent events?" I think if I bother with GTA V I'll buy weapons rather than finding them. In San Andreas and IV I rarely if at all used an Ammu-Nation/Gun store. Preferred to drive around and find items. Should help keep the cash flow low (IV was ment to be rags to better rags. I ended up rich as fuck)

Officially giving up on L.A. Noire for now unless I decide to use a guide. Just a constant waste of time when Cole Phelps doesn't actually respond in the manner you selected. Mainly because at the last moment they switched "Coax, Force or Lie" to "Truth, Doubt or Lie" which is the reason you can opt to doubt a story, but end up intimidating the character. I often make a decision that seems to make sense, but then he flies off the handle and fucks it up, meaning I can either balls it up and go back to it on my second run (see also: a poor attempt at giving it replayability) or reload my game. Couple that in with a game that is CAPPED AT 30 FPS and runs like utter garbage because it was a console port, also the reason for black bars on a 16:10 monitor. To even get the game playable I have to mod it. Totally ridiculous.

No. I think Xbox has some kind of cloud storage feature for save games and such but nothing for items like that.

The majority of internet users don't pay for or need high speed internet. As such it just isn't a priority here to have high speed internet at affordable prices, or ensure you get the speed you pay for constantly. That makes no sense lol. I pay for 30mb, get 30mb, and that's basic service here. Basic service here for years after broadbands inception was still Dial up and ADSL connections (notoriously shitty here). That and we only have 3 major ISP's (to my mind at the moment) that reliably deliver internet. Virgin, BE and BT. Sky are pretty hit and miss. TalkTalk as you saw are complete shite. I don't even want to think about what rural internet penetration is like but it sure as shit is not a priority for ISP's.

Basically anything new is better than that. The 7800 and X1800 are very old now (close to 6 years I think) and you'll struggle to see anything within the past 3 years sold retail or e-commerce.
