I know we can put them in our profile, but if you would like people to add you, post your PSN here. Who actually pays attention to people's profile info anyway? Well being that this is a new forum, and I have a new name (for those that don't already know; I was Edgecrusher on the old forum), I thought I would create a new PSN as well. Feel free to add devildude81, I have plenty of room on my friends list now.

GTA5 Influenced By Movies
Edgecrusher replied to Psy's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
I can't really think of just one film which I'd like to see inspiration from, but off the top of my head, here's a few: Football Factory The Firm (original with Gary Oldman, not that shitty new version) The Business Rock 'N' Rolla A History Of Violence The Departed Rise Of The Footsoldier Sexy Beast Kidulthood/Adulthood Lucky Number Slevin Smokin' Aces -
I haven't been on for a while, but if there are enough people on here to organise a lobby, I'm game.

Frogger on the same demo disc as GTA lol, and the original MGS has to be one of my favourite games of all time. I remember me and my mate were among the first in the UK to have a NES and we were in 'Club Nintendo' - it was a free magazine that came out about once every 3 months. We'd flick through our magazines and drool over the latest games like Metroid and The Goonies II. Ha, we even had Club Nintendo membership cards and 'personally' signed letters from Mario. My membership card was number 00213 or something, used to have loads of 1st edition magazines too, like EDGE - all in perfect condition...............gave them all away. I was in that club, lol. I used to read Gamesmaster and CVG. I never really read any PlayStation only mags until the PS2 came out.

Gilbert Gottfried Rumours?
Edgecrusher replied to Edgecrusher's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Ah, should probably start checking the main page. >_< -
Anyone else seen this? Seems unlikely to me, but interesting nonetheless.

If you hadn't guessed, mine's Akuma of the Streetfighter series just because I like evil characters. Akuma means devil in Japanese. What's your favourite character and why?

I know, it's spaghetti junction. The box under my PS3 is my amp.
-
If you have a flashy PC or a nice console setup, show us some pics. My current PS3 setup: I'm getting another set of Wharfedales in a couple of weeks and a new amp.
-
No, the thread is about The Orange Box as a whole.
-
Should be 20mbps is about 8-9mbps most of the time. ISP is BT Internet.
-
I still don't think I could do it that fast though, even if I had played through 100 times.
-
Anyone seen the world record for completing Portal? It's like nine minutes or something.
-
Meh, he's got a loud mouth and a small brain. Thanks to his input, more people will know about this mod than would have otherwise. In fact, the creators were probably counting on it.

Your account doesn't carry over from the other site. An admin will re-gold you when they get a chance.

Dunno, I was going to make them yesterday but I thought Marney would make them so I left it.

^Yeah, not sure if it's confirmed for anything other than Portal 2 yet though, but it seems like it. There's rumours that it will be replacing the current friends list though which would be awesome; unlimited friends>>>>100 and PlayStation gamers would finally get cross-game chat support. *crosses fingers*
-
It's not all about money this time though; with Xbox Live being a premium service, Microsoft would never allow for competing third party software to be released on their console. That's why the 360 version of Portal 2 will probably not recieve as much support as the PS3/PC version. It's a shame really, it would've been nice to have all three platforms competing at the same time in multiplayer.

After much deliberation, I went with San Andreas, because of the size and amount of features. I have finished them all from the very first through to Episodes though, with the exception of GTA: Advance. I like each game for different reasons; the first two and London for breaking the mould as far as open world gaming goes, the third for raising the bar yet again, Vice City for the atmosphere, VCS & LCS (conspicuous by their absence) were both nice to be able to revisit their settings and again, were pretty revolutionary in terms of handheld gaming, San Andreas for the above mentioned reasons, GTA4 and The Episodes mainly just because I was already hooked on GTA and Chinatown Wars because I got hooked on the drug dealing and spent countless hours on it before my DS (which I bought specifically for this game) got stolen.

I stand corrected. I still remember the days when there was no such thing as patches like it was yesterday anyway, so I'm not too bothered *shows age*. I ordered this for the most part for HL2 anyway and to play catch up before Portal 2 comes out TF2 is just icing really.
-
It was shockingly poor. It seems that Valve have learnt their lesson though, what with the plans to link PS3 and Steamworks together. It wasn't really Portal or HL2 that was the problem (though HL2 did have a ton of bugs) but there was no online support for TF2 at all. Valve seemed to care for the 360 community more than PS3. There was no support for the 360 either, because of the lack of Steamworks. I hope this PS3 Steamworks support goes farther than just Portal 2, I think cross-platform multiplayer would be awesome on a lot of games.
-
I was looking through the cheap games on Amazon and decided to order this. I know it's pretty old but I have never played Half Life and with Portal 2 coming this year with Steamworks support for PS3, I thought I might as well buy it. It looks to be great value for money at £12.67, anyone else got this? Still play it?

Might as well bring this thread back as it had quite a few pages. What's your favourite bands? Who have you been to see or are going to see? You know the score. No bands are really interesting to me at the moment, I think I'm going through some sort of musical apathy at the minute. Who can recommend some new bands?

What are you looking for in GTA5?
Edgecrusher replied to Qdeathstar's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
As Psy said, I would like to see a lot of little details incorporated again that were missing in GTA4 and a setting with more variety like SA would be awesome. Also, to me it seems like they toned down the humour a bit in GTA4, would like to see lots more in GTA5. -
When Do You Think GTA5 Will Be Announced?
Edgecrusher replied to Qdeathstar's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
May, but I think they will leave it a few months to give it a chance before they unleash the inevitable tidal wave of hype that goes along with a GTA announcement.
