    Snow in the valleys is rare, but the mountains have snow every year (for the most part). sometimes it drops pretty low. it snowed in San Bernardino valley in 2009 (or may be it was 2008). yes it snows during the winter in Big Bear. they are known for their sky resorts. I feel like we are drifting a little to far off topic here. I was thinking this was the realism topic.

    what happened in Santa Monica? I don't think it has anything to do with your YouTube comment. It was about a previous comment on pedestrians having concealed guns. A YouTube like website would be great. GTA4 had one but it didn't work. (I forgot what it was called)

    Honestly I think Michael will be the more interesting character. Okay yeah Trevor is a crazy person, great, but so is Michael. He covers it with a cool exterior, but I get the feeling he could snap at any moment. Just seems a bit deeper to me. I would even say Franklin is more interesting. Not only is he balancing his commitment to his gang with his desire for more, he is also walking a thin line between making it big, or turning into another Micheal. I am not saying Trevor will not be interesting, I am looking forward to playing as him too, I just think people focus to much on him being crazy.

    I always did it at the worst times too, like when I am being attacked by a cougar. That would be nice. it is funny because there are actually a number of exotic bird in the wild in So-Cal. I learned thins while doing environmental surveys for my old job. rich people in LA would get themas pets and then when they were to much work they would let them go (or they would escape). California happens to be a pretty good environment for tropical birds.

    There was a shooting outside a college campus. http://articles.latimes.com/2013/jun/07/local/la-me-santa-monica-shooting-20130608 I doubt concealed carry laws will be change because it is already near to impossible to get a CCP in California as it is. Besides a the incident wasn't caused because of someone with a CCP (as far as I know). that does not mean pedestrians in GTA cant carry guns.

    ..the previews were saying our health will regenerate to 50%.. so if you're about to die you can take a rest and heal up. I know it's a game but that seems kinda weird. You're getting punished in a mission and one or two more gunshots will kill you. You take a rest for five minutes and you're good to go again, kill all the bad guys and mission accomplished. Onto the next mission. I'd rather more strategically placed health packs than the ability to regenerate. That's why they have food outlets and carts. yea, i do like the GTA/max payne style for health... regenerative health takes the fun out of a game when all you have to do is hide behind cover for a good few seconds... why not sit behind cover trying to plan your escape with barely any life left?? but it worked for red dead because those weapons you went up against were pretty deadly... perhaps getting hit a couple of times does the same in GTAV, forcing you to drop to cover to shoot your way out... i did find myself not using cover a whole lot in GTAIV because i could drop a lot of enemies with 2-3 shots max with the SMG and still have health to spare... but with only a half-health regen, with no armor regen, means it's still gonna be tough to stay alive while ducking in an out of cover anyways... I was a little worried as well, but I think it will be okay. At first I though it would regen up to 50% of your total health, but then after listening to CVG (okay its CVG so it could be complete BS) it sounds like it will be 50% if whatever you lose. so you lose 50% your health it will only regen to 75%, then if your health drops to 25% it will only regen to 50% and so on. If that is true then you could easily end up with a only a sliver of health if you are not careful. Plus I am assuming that, like you say, getting hit will knock your health down fast.

    They seem like they think they know it all. There map doesn't even have mount chiliad on it nor the other big mountain. They admit in the video that they do not know where it is, that's why it is not on the map. there is a sort of mystery area to the north, probably up there.

    CVG updated there map a little. It is a bit better... Fixed the Dam location and added in the second river that we all knew was there. Oh and if you want to hear a sort of defensive response to the criticism of "their" map watch the first few minutes of this weeks GTA 5 o'clock

    That is probably a good way to go. the few times I have invested in a game guide I have been greatly disappointed. They always seem to get things wrong. I think this is partly because they base the guide on an earlier version of the game. I could see him injecting Heroine into his arm and going into rage mode lol. That would be awesome. ohh I can just hear that outraged video game critics now "GTA is teaching kids to do drugs".

    What about taking damage in cars? I think it makes sense, bullets are going to pass through a car with no problem. I just really hated how in IV you would get into a car while being chased by the police and then get shot to death while you are hot wiring the car. I also think in car damage from crashing would be annoying, maybe if it the damage was minimal. I think this is one area that I would be willing to take a loss of realism, even just a little bit. Not saying that there should not be any in car damage, just limit it a little.

Let's assume there's no casino in the game then, it's just all guesses and speculations with those guys Well, they did actually see 30+ minutes of real gameplay, they must've seen something that looks like a casino. The never mentioned it in their preview. I think it is just a wild guess.

    I can't stop laughing at that picture. Having Peds rat you out would be a nice touch, but they will have to be careful with that. It could also get annoying real quick.

    I live near an international air port and they have blimps take off their from time to time. I am not sure why, but they do. so for the game I could imagine it being at the air port.

    lol, it's almost like they purposely jacked up the map. they made such a big deal about being "scientific" but it seems like they did the whole thing drunk.

    I believe LA NOIRE, MAX PAYNE 3, and I think Red Dead Redemption, O.K. ........................................ But other than those, none then... That's 5 games ranging from 2008-2013, what more do people need in order to tell Rockstar delays games? Oh I was actually asking a serious question. I had no idea. I believe you guys.

    I do not think there is any doubt. Look at this image There is no way it is that for east. In fact this would make more sense: that would put it right out of veiw in the blueprint and in line with the photo. Yeah, this is pretty bad. I had hopes that they would could come up with something interesting, but the more I look at the map the more I find things that do not make sense.

    I think their position for the Dam is wrong. it seems to far away from the city, while in the screen shot it looks like it is right next to it.
