I really love the new rest mode Sony added in the last PS4 update. Now as soon as you start your PS4 you're dropped into the game immediately as if it was paused while the PS4 was off. It works with GTA Online too. The only thing is you get booted from the session immediately after starting, go into the clouds and are then dropped in the same type of session you were in while in rest mode. The Xbone has a similar feature, though I'm not sure how it worked with GTAO. I'm guessing it's just like what I described above.

Considering all the adult language in GTA V, it's kind of strange we can't use "inappropriate language" in meme text, vanity plates, and outfit names. You can't even drive a couple of blocks in Los Santos without hearing 5 expletives. I guess it has to do with online gaming rules or something, but it still seems bizarre.

Fuck that last heist. I'm going to avoid doing it until I learn how to ride a fucking bike. I honestly could've quit after unlocking the savage, I must have died a dozen times in the stupid finale. Sorry Dio, Ace, and Bones.

I hope it's just a bug too. The new sports classic (casco) was available in story mode though. I thought that was weird since it wouldn't unlock online until completing one of the setup missions for heist number two. Maybe they'll sort it out, and hopefully before next year.

Had a great time with heists today. So glad I came up with a sudden case of bullshititis and left work early. Bones did a good job covering the positives, so I'll start with the negatives. They introduced some tricky new mini games for some of the stuff you'll need to do for heists. The new hacking system is like playing snake if the levels were mazes. Drilling was easy once you figure it out. I didn't, and spent a good couple of minutes wasting time as Bones handled the cops in the 1st heist. There's also another hacking mini game that was incredibly frustrating while doing the last job. It seemed easy enough but the first leg of that set-up mission was timed and time was running short. The worst thing I found about heists was that unlocking vehicles online doesn't unlock them in story mode. I'm guessing because I wasn't heist leader. So maybe I'll have to replay those heists as leader to unlock vehicles in story mode. Or maybe they're not available for story mode at all, which would be bullshit. These new vehicles are expensive! How am I supposed to test which vehicles I should buy online? Despite these complaints, I'm quite pleased with most of the stuff we got. The heists themselves are incredibly fun to play and I feel like it will be a while before I get bored. The new clothing options are awesome. I especially love the fact that I could set up 9 different outfits and change accordingly on the fly using the interaction menu. Overall it might not have been worth such a long wait for some, but I'm relieved Rockstar delivered on what they promised and then some.

I started downloading before going to work, and thought about calling in sick. The download was taking so long that I showed up to work just to kill time. I really am a terrible employee.

I doubt the hind (it's what NATO called them during the cold war, I can't remember the actual Russian name but it was something adorable like Mimi or something) is going to be the hunter. Hunters have traditionally been based off Apache attack helicopters in GTA's 3D universe. There was an apache type helicopter in the trailer for the Simian in story mode, so I'm guessing Rockstar are still planning some military themed DLC in the future. This will probably include the officers clothing we saw in the flight school update trailer last summer. There are also two unused tank models in the game; one is a WWII era tank that can be found off the east coast, and another is a rusted cold war era soviet tank in the junk yard near the maze bank arena. I'm hoping these tanks are remodeled and added to the game as part of a military update.

Don't worry Massacre, the new slamvan probably still isn't drivable in a straight line. The new hind is what I'm really excited about. Imma be swatting buzzards left and right with that new bad boy!

I am so down for the 100m grind! We could repeat the grind in preparation for any upcoming DLC so we can afford whatever they add.

This year's fall lineup is shaping up to be really good.

looks like off road night was awesome! It's a shame I missed it. I'm still in Berlin but I'm leaving tomorrow and am looking forward to robbing some banks next week!

We were supposed to get single player DLC last year. Fall 2015 is over a year late, I doubt they would push it back another year. Probably wouldn't be that bad if they did. If they started working on single player DLC in the fall of 2013, (though they probably started earlier) that would mean they had 3 years development time. They could easily add another city and a decent story.

Well whatever the next GTA will be, we'll probably have to wait a couple of years before we know anything. I'm wondering if Rockstar have any new games for 2016, though. After heists and the PC port of GTA V drop, Rockstar will start talking about the single player DLC. I'm guessing it will be out this fall, with small free updates until the end of the year. So what's next? Maybe Sony or Microsoft will announce their next project with Rockstar at E3. Like they did with GTA IV in '06 or the PS4/Xbone/PC version of GTA V last year.

I feel the need to atone for the sins I committed in GTA tonight. I recently found out that a friend of mine and his older brother were really into GTAO, so I decided I'd be a little social and play with them a bit. Was kind of hoping they'd be down for pulling some heists in a few weeks, but they didn't seem interested. All we did was start fights with randoms in public lobbies until everyone left. They explained that going on ammo draining killing sprees against cops and randoms is their favorite thing to do in GTA. I was miserable through the whole thing, but these guys were childhood buddies. we grew up on the same street and I felt this obligation to fight by their side. By the end of the night, I realized that I had become what I resented most in GTAO and the very reason I am so accustomed to playing alone in invite only sessions. Game Informer did a special feature on Rise of the Tomb Raider this month. Still though, the best survival mechanic in a game imo was from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. I really hope they bring back the survival viewer in The Phantom Pain. This game is one of the reasons I don't completely regret buying an Xbox1. I know most of you are on PS4 but at least you won't have to split your time this fall between Tomb Raider and Uncharted 4. Plus I'm sure the game will be ported to PS4 at some point next year.

Last night was a little weird for me, I hope you can all excuse me since the night began at 2am my time and I'm not used to playing gta with other people or larger groups. I asked everyone if I should pimp out my Tornado and be like a greaser pimp, or go with the Pigale and be a 1970's Europimp. Nobody responded so I settled on Pigale pimpin' Parisienne prostitutes. Still nobody was talking to me. That's when I realized my mic was on mute. That wasn't the only problem though, you see I had it so I could only hear friends in chat without realizing it. So I could hear Dupz, Mercy, Ginj, but mostly I just heard Bones. I thought everyone else was being really quiet and Bones was talking to someone on the phone about ipads and autism or something while playing gta. I did eventually figure it ou, I'll definitely be better prepared next time. I'm the pimp in the pink blazer nobody knew, didn't take plenty of photos but here's what I got.

Picked this game up yesterday after work and I'm rather pleased with it. Sure I'll probably be done with the story tonight, but honestly it wouldn't be the first time I finished a game in 2 sittings. (I once 100%'d RDR in 36 straight hours.) The gameplay is actually pretty good, reminds me of Gears of War. My only complaint is that the reticle is inconsistent. Shots that seem to land don't, but I think it has something to do with the weapon used. I think some guns have a certain range where they're accurate, but if your target is too far then there's a chance the shot won't hit its mark. I'm conflicted about the lack of online multiplayer though. On the one hand, I'm glad they didn't feel the need to tack it on. I also generally tend to prefer games with a focus on a decent story, rather than shouting sexualy humiliating insults at teenagers online. However, I really really liked playing Gears of War with my Xbox 360 friends back in the day. The Order feels the same minus the chainsaw lancer.. On second thought, maybe it's best not to have online multiplayer without a chainsaw lancer. Shouting sexualy humiliating insults at teenagers online just wouldn't be the same without one.

I think I'll be picking this game up. I was never that interested in the game before it was announced and when I saw how it got crucified by critics, I thought fuck it. The funny thing is though, I've got 3 friends who played the game and are really enjoying it. I'll get into it with really low expectations and if it sucks, well hey it's an infamously short game (one of the reasons it got so much flak was because days before release, a full playthrough was leaked on youtube and it took the guy 5 hours!)

And once heists are out of the way, we could hear more about what kind of single player dlc they've got planned.
