i just replayed the butterfly case before i went golfing today...
-
yea, there are some interesting suspects at the homicide desk... there is so much going on at once that it's easy to cloud your judgement and make wrong accusations... i am finding that out when i replay just how wrong i was on a couple of missions...
-
that's what i thought when i unlocked it... there's a couple of mafia looking outfits... well to update my current game, i am 81% complete, 65-some vehicles driven, 32 police calls answered, 15 landmarks discovered, 47% of the trophies collected (half of the remaining are DLC ones), still 0 film canisters found, all of traffic cases 5-starred, and 2 homicide cases with 5-stars... yup...

having some pork chops at joe's diner on sunset blvd...

i just got one, what do i do with it?? drive real fast until it catches fire?? is there a garage to take it to?? EDIT: nevermind... it just unlocks the location... i can get it whenever i want now ...

carruthers is one cool customer... one of the best characters in the game... he takes his job serious, but also has a laid back approach, as if he's seen it all and nothing during LA noire surprises him... i am going trophy hunting today... time to get back to LA and see what i can accomplish today...

well i conquered the land of hollywoodland... and i didn't get 95% of the clues but now that i am looking at the cases and my scores i can see why... i was bombing missions early on... but beside that it was a fun ride, and full of detective goodness all the way thru... there wasn't one single moment where i didn't feel like LA's finest in this timepiece... playing this game with a buzz of any sort made it that much more challenging to decipher the evidence and dialog provided to you... i had to put the bowl down a few times to work thru an interview... sure you can beat this game blowing every possible question and searching for the bare minimum, but where's the fun in that?! search the area, stop for a moment to review the clues before an interrogation, gather your thoughts and challenge the witness when you feel the need to, and always always remember that you've got a case to solve... that being said, i did manage to ignore the side stuff for the most part... didn't jack a single hidden car, jacked maybe 10 altogether... answered 3 police scanner calls, found 12/13 newspapers, 0/50 film reels, and basically stuck to the main story... now that all cases are unlocked i will head back and do some stuff different to better the scores... it was a fun game all the way to the end, it just kept evolving all the way... the simple basic rules were always there but the game in and around those rules kept you on your toes most of the time... play this, rent if you must... i beat it in 4 nights, but i see plenty of wasted hours ahead searching for cars and helping out fellow pigs...

i am not even sure if it matters to be honest... this is 1947 justice and if you're guilty, that's that... i am one mission from the end and i don't think my past judgements will really play any role going forward... i've collect enough evidence throughout the game to come to the final conclusion i am probably going to run into here in the next hour or so... the only thing i might foresee is missing out on a trophy here and there by doing a case 100% correct, or maybe one piece of evidence that would be informative, but when i can replay cases, i'll have those sorted out in no time...
-
you're doing it right, dup... but jamie, come on... the correct ending is the one you choose when "you" play the game ... not by playing the game the way everyone else tells you to... there is no correct ending, there's just other ways to end the game i guess... i didn't even know there were different endings...
-
your doing it wrong... dont restart the mission, play thru it and deal with your choices... no one expects you to be perfect...
-
ok, lets stop talking about marney's wife and get back on topic...
-
yea, you guys need to start using spoiler tags...
-
it's part of the badge pursuit challenge... unfortunately PS3 players can't do it right now...
-
you need to learn how to re-skin textures with the GECK... it cant be that hard to do...
-
oh hell yea, i saw a few different ways to play cases and i know of a few wrong convictions fix on the next one...
-
nothing, you move on and get chewed out by your superior for convicting the wrong person... the only thing it hurts is your final case score... you can't fail a mission per-say... you can fail a chase, or shoot the wrong person, or die... but when that happens the game loads the last checkpoint... there's no wrong ways to reach the conclusion of a mission... it's what makes the first playthrough fun... no need to restart the case if you messed something up... just roll with your decisions and worry about that stuff the next time thru the story...

i only remember rain from oblivion, but that sounds awesome... i didn't know it rained in HH... they must be having fun tinkering with weather effects because in "lonesome road" there is suppose to be swirling winds and tornadoes...
-
none of the melee or unarmed weapons had mods in NV... the bear claw did with dead money, and i guess the melee weapons have 'em in HH... are all the items tribal related in HH? is there the odd "assassin's armor" like stuff lying around, something that doesn't seem like it fits??
-
yea, i think i've convicted the wrong person a couple of times...
-
i am totally ready to play this next week... i am pretty sure i'll have LA noire beaten by then, i am on the final desk and on the final few cases...i am eager to play this now... without spoiling anything, are there sweet new weapons and armor?? how about recipes and crafting items??
-
i just reached arson and blew the first mission with a wrong conviction... the evidence has become almost a grey area now... it has gotten extremely hard to have it all figured out... i guess i saw the pattern coming when i was in vice, talk about a change of pace... i am on the home stretch though, i can sorta see the story coming but then again, it could be another mirror... the story really starts taking off near the end of the homicide desk and is at full throttle during vice... this game is taking me for a ride right now... EDIT: and don't forget to read the newspapers scattered about during missions... they've already wrapped up a few cases story-wise for me, while also providing a peak into future ones developing around me... i have probably collected roughly 8 of 13... as long as you scour crime scenes and locations within the main story you won't miss the ones i have found... come to think of it, i am probably well on my way to getting that gold trophy stating you need to collect 95% of the evidence because, just about every mission ends with me collecting everything... i am just struggling to use it properly in interrogations and questionings... and no, i have yet to cheat and use an intuition point... i don't wanna cheat, i am old fasioned... i like to beat a game before i start tinkering with the mechanics...
-
i am having no problems... i am actaully a few missions from the end..
-
lol, WTF?!?! i drove off a small embankment in a sports car, landing on some patio furniture in someone's back yard... next thing i know there's a chair stuck inside the car and it's being lifted or sucked into a black hole, or something like that!! it starts collapsing on itself so i bailed, this is the aftermath, lol... i think rusty is still in shock ...

can't install it, it tried to access the store and froze my PS3 when i tried it the first time i fired up the game... i haven't tried it since but i am sure that it's not possible... even the PS3 exclusive traffic case is downloaded as well so that's not playable either... kinda sucks but it did say you can play the DLC whenever you want, after it's been installed... not sure if you have to beat the game first or not... but it definitely won't be available by the time i do beat the game, that's for sure...
