  1. Yes I know we've all been waiting for a good pirate game, but where exactly does the Assassin's Creed bit tie into this? Aside from a few historical pirates how are they going to wrap it in an intriguing and labyrinthine plot? Seems like they've just made a pirate game for the fuck of it because they know it will sell.
  2. I won't be buying this on release, no way, I'll still be fully immersed in GTA V. What's been shown so far doesn't look that epic to be honest. I am not even going to bother watching any videos or footage.
  3. its all you Shrek has honky features, that is all... Except the lips.
  4. I thought the exploit with the Oghma Infinium had been fixed? Hermaeus Mora's champion isn't going to be happy with this devious trickery. As for the Imperial/Stormcloak debate... Well, the Empire was founded by Talos. The fact that many Nords are fighting against the Empire due to their devotion to Talos is somewhat misguided. Whichever choice they (or you as the player) make it is not in the Nords best interests - they overthrow the Empire and they are no longer part of Talos' creation - they stay with the Empire and they cannot overtly worship him. It is all the Aldmeri Dominion's doing anyway, to drive a wedge between the Empire's subjects and weaken it. There is no right or wrong answer as to which faction to join, just do what makes sense for that character. I have liberated Skyrim several times, but then again I have also conquered it for the Empire equally as many times.
  5. Although the version of GTA III I got had the original boxart before R* started doing the classic GTA frames style... until they went back and altered it to fit with the rest.
  6. The legacy... how far we've come. Kinda sad in a way that all those games are behind us.
  7. What is this feeling? Is it excitement? It's been so long I hardly know anymore. The minigun looks weird without a belt.
  8. *looks around, doesn't see anyone* I'd like customisable foreskins, I don't want to see any discrimination against either party - the roundheads or the cockaliers.
  9. There's a mod that adds a driveable horse-drawn cart which your followers can ride in and you can stash your loot in. I saw it on here: @7:52 Also:
  10. And changed their AI so they didn't insist on helping you fight an Elder Dragon. Just stay the fuck out of the way when i'm fighting, this battle isn't for you horse.
  11. You don't necessarily need to become Thane to purchase property, but you do usually have to help the people of said city. Then again you can give gold to a beggar three times and it will count as helping three people.
  12. Horses are pretty much pointless, especially when they decide to help you out in a fight and get slaughtered. You can't beat travelling on foot from location to location, it really doesn't take that long. Markarth to Whiterun to Windhelm to Riften is a nice little jaunt unless you get sidetracked on the way - which you inevitably will.
  13. I didn't think anybody would actually bother to read and interpret what I wrote. Who would do a thing like that?
  14. Skyrim expansion packs and the Sims are keeping me occupied in between OU assignments.
  15. That's why I went for Lakeview first. With my garden and greenhouse I have now cornered the market in paralysis poisons thoughout Skyrim.

    Classic Titles

My earliest memories of gaming are playing Fire Ant and Paperboy on my sister's Commodore 64.
  17. Oh, I was planning on getting that one next where my wife and children could live. Luckily i'm level 21 at the moment so as soon as I hit 22 i'll go for it.
  18. Which one? I bought Lakeview Manor at about level 5 after doing a job for the jarl of Falkreath. Oh and also i've just found out that if you sell firewood to a mill owner who you haven't previously helped they will then let you cut lumber yourself, just tried it at Half-Moon Mill.
  19. Chaurus. Yeah they are quite lethal at level 6 i'd imagine. Another thing, don't waste your money buying skill upgrades unless you can get that person as a follower and then reclaim your money, such as with Faendal in Riverwood.
  20. Well maybe they do appear before level 10 then, I always thought that was the case though. But it seems that you only have to complete Dragon Rising then. Just save regularly and clear out dungeons to level up quickly. Watch out for which caves you explore though, some contain Falmer and they will be quite difficult at low levels. Well as I said save regularly, I keep two save files per character, that way I can jump back to a previous save if my last one puts me in imminent danger... or it gets corrupted. If you happen to spend a lot of time around the plains of Whiterun, sneak around near deer and it will level up your sneak skill, hunt them for hides and antlers. Also collect every blue butterfly and blue mountain flower you see, combined they make a valuable potion and will level up your alchemy skill quickly. Apart from that the way forward is combat, the more fighting you do the quicker you level up.
  21. Yes it is, but if you use a fortify enchanting potion it can wear off while you are typing the new name resulting in the stronger enchantment not being applied, only the base one.
  22. Dragons only appear at level 10 and after completing the Dragon Rising quest. You should invest perks in the areas you use most, which will obvioulsly be the ones to level up the fastest. At low levels even the base dragons can be a challenge, if you are using spells the best option is shock-based as dragons have a resistance to both fire and frost. (The ones that use fire breath have a 50% resistance to fire, and the ones that use frost have a 50% resistance to frost... go figure, but they also have a 25% resistance to the opposite spell.) Also if you haven't got a follower it might be wise to get one, they can distract a dragon and soak up a lot of their damage for you. I started a Nord character again, he's living in Lakeview Manor where he has a large plantation of canis root and swamp fungal pods for making paralysis poisons.
  23. I touched AC MP once in Brotherhood or Revelations and never looked at it again.
