Yeah, The Getaway was the next best thing behind GTA in the PS2 era imo. I even bought that Gangs of London on PSP just because it was a spiritual 'Getaway. Bit out of practice thanks to GTA. But i'm getting back on track with my 3d artwork. Here's a warm up i'm doing atm. Practicing tessellation techniques for Patio. Diffuse/Normals/Height Maps It's a major aspect of texturing these days, which I've not really practiced much.So i want to see how sharp and detailed i can get objects looking.

But if they do normalize it, then there'll only be another new type of online currency, so there'll be a constant evolution of different currencies. *Imagines the future* I can imagine viewing exchange rates for online currencies alone. Bitcoin: BIT 1.0451 Pron Pennies: PRN 1727.3 Flikcoin: FLK 0.1324 CamCredit: CAM 13.54 GameRings RNG 7435.62 etc.

Old thread bump, but i though this would be a good enough post to grant a bump. Well then, now the "Next Gen" is upon us, the new consoles are released/releasing as i write this. We have a better understanding of how things will look this generation. Obviously the games that are coming out this year and probably early next year, wont look hugely impressive. But for an even better understanding of what this generation is capable of, we should be looking at work from the artists, like portfolios and such. These are the guys that will be molding the current gen into what we can expect from it. Here's a couple of good 3D artworks I've spotted running on current generation engines, that will be possible on PS4 and Xbox One in the near future: Wrecked Apartment by Wiktor Ohman . Sc-fi Environment by Helder Pinto Female sci-fi character by Adam Fisher A Gentleman's Rest by gartht3d I may post some more later.

I use the Tor Network a lot, for my multimedia needs. So i see bitcoins on a daily bases. And Gunsmith is very much correct, in that the bitcoin is used to make illegal transactions of guns, drugs, trafficking and more, because the bitcoin is untraceable to the buyer/owner... This is another reason why i don't understand why it's becoming an acceptable method of payment.

The Getaway 3 was meant to be a launch release for PS3. They even did a tech demo at E3 from what i recall. But it never happened. Maybe they're saving it for PS4? i wonder. Rockstar Games do need to do a modern day British game though. There's not been anything like that for years. And there's a lot to offer in terms of visuals, especially this generation. 'The Division' has proven that.

So the phrase "Bitcoin" is being chucked around the net a lot these days, and it seems to be growing momentum. I understand the concept that you let your computer solve mathematical algorithms that get sent to a large server in order to be rewarded Bitcoins that can be spent like real money or even traded for real money. But how the hell did it become an acceptable currency, and how is it not possible to just "mine" millions of bitcoins and then become rich? I guess what i'm trying to say is, how is the bitcoin made, which makes it acceptable to use as a worldwide currency? The only thing i can think of is that the bitcoin is so mathematically complex, that is requires a fair bit of computer power and electricity to mine, therefore converting your hard earn't cash into a bitcoin from the server as a payout? Fuck if i know, someone enlighten me. For those of you that don't know what a bitcoin is: And whilst i'm here, i had a random thought. Could the bitcoin become the world's most accepted currency in the future for online purchases?

When it comes to hot sauce, you can't beat a good Jamaican hot sauce. Sweet, fiery, and not too vinegary. But my favorite "spicy" sauce is piri piri, dem Africans make a damn fine piri!

I've heard that Forza has jumped into the microtransaction pit. Like GTAO you can buy in-game credits instead of racing many, many races online, in order to afford the best/fastest/popular cars. This generation better not be full of this crap.

Yeah a lot of the races have ridiculously quick world records. Some of them are believable, like 5-10 seconds faster then my best. But when someone is completing a track when i'm barley a third of the way around, then something isn't right there, and slipstream isn't that good!

Unusual as in hacking? Well good thing it's not released here until Friday, so they should upgrade their security by then. I also heard that they removed some Twitch TV playroom feature which came packed with the PS4, because people were using it for "other" purposes.

The collectors edition heads make a difference. Niko, claude and misty have very distinctive features. As well as the social club bonus - Marston.

I remember remaking like 20 different characters on the launch day of gtao because of the fail at tutorial problem with the server. So I got to makr a variety of different looking characters. By the second day I had the character I wanted and just waited out the server hiccups. If I had the chance to change his looks now, I probably wouldn't.

Your online character will be fine. Mine was, when my PS3 died a week into GTAO, and that was a more precarious situation, what with the clusterfucked servers. Installed GTA V, downloaded my collectors edition files, and then played the first mission or two offline, before saving and then going online. The question is, will GTAO work/release on PS4, if that's the case, you and me both could have saved money and jumped on board PS4 early. Also, Smee, haven't you ever heard of a towel?
