  1. That's a shame Jamie. well... tlad it is then. See you guys later this evening.
  2. Nice. That's my kind of figure.
  3. Yeah that's why i didn't really comment on the audio. The atmosphere wasn't right to crit it.
  4. Yeah i had a hard time hearing the dialogue as my tv was a bit low and i had to hear it among all the jizzing gamers. So navigating was tricky at times, as i didn't hear where i was meant to go, and some of the map areas were puzzling.
  5. Hopefully not That shit will ruin the game!
  6. Yeah, is fucking messy when you get caught. I saw guys getting killed in one bite to the neck on screens beside me. I'm happy to try and answer any questions if you guys have any.
  7. So i played The Last of Us. It wasn't an "official" demo like you'd get on PSN or anything. It was a pre-alpha demo, running on normal PS3's not dev kits. I was told no photos or videos, but i still stealth'd a couple of images. NOTE - I wont discuss any of the dialogue, so don't worry about spoilers. (not that any of the dialogue felt spoliery anyway) I was first in, and quickly to one of 8 Play-stations (pun yeah) . I was then told that the demo was somewhere in the middle of the game. And One of the guys keyed in some code and the demo started. My screen look particularly sharp compared to some of the screens (which looked much smoother), and the GAME employee said it was the TV settings on the screen not the game. As soon as the game starts, we're in some streets surrounded by beautiful destroyed buildings and foliage (as you'd expect). Joel and Ellie were accompanied by a women called Tess, and they were looking for a specific building to get to. As i take control of the Joel i get used to the controls. Movement seemed sluggish at first, but after a few minutes i had already forgotten about it, and they felt more natural, and seemed quite a lot like Uncharted mechanics. Without spoiling anything, i did a few bits of problem solving and sneaking around with tense dark hallways, until i see my first shroom-head. I have a little struggle and melee mash the thing's face in. After this i encounter more, and in groups and have to figure out how to take them all out strategically (a little like I Am Alive actually). At this point i noticed people around me dying at this stage and passing the controller to other people waiting, so i carefully took my time working them out, and managed to successfully stealth them all without causing a fungus fuck. I didn't get any pics of the fights or anything in the middle of the demo as it was terrifying enough walking around in the dark trying to listen out for clickers and seeing murky silhouettes in the background contorting towards me... This scary section took place in a metro station after falling from an office block window lift. I finally got out back to street level and had to do a bit more problem solving and shitaki bashing, before fleeing and barely escaping mushroom soup. Anyway, put simply: the game was fun, without a doubt. The need to conserve ammo was really relevant from the get go. Even though i managed to collect a handgun, a revolver and a shotgun, i had one or two shots on each. I used the shotgun in a tight spot in the metro, where i alerted a few clickers because i couldn't use my stealth strangle attack and had to stab it in the neck instead, which caused it to shriek. I also found plenty of melee weapons like metal poles, wood blocks, even Molotov's, bricks and bottles for distracting purposes if i wished. The melee attack was smooth and really felt like i was doing damage when i made those deadly blows. The demo took me about 30 minutes to complete. I played calmly and carefully though, and took my time picking up any loot i could find in each area, and killing every athlete's foot in each section. I only used one medi-kit which i had to make from loot supplies. That was the struggle in the metro. I made a couple of daggers too. That stuff is really simple to do, and quick which is also important. This is definitely a title not to miss if you own a PS3.
  8. LA Noire was a unique, one off game. As much as I'd love a new game In this era and style (there's plenty of noir film to take inspiration from), It just wont happen. R* are good at creating games fans like, but they aren't independent developers, they still need to make money, and money is their first priority, before fans needs. A new LA Noire probably wouldn't be profitable.

    Destiny

Yeah, the narration was badass, but the game looks really shiny, almost too cg, very Halo'y.

    PS4

That's another reason why it's a continuing console war. The console creators are clearly having a war of their own.

    PS4

Anyone want to take a guess at console prices? I have a feeling both PS4 and X1 will be competitively priced this time around. I'd say both around the same price. My guess will be in the region of £349-£399. Hopefully not more, otherwise i'll have to put in more hours at work to pay for it.

^Twat. This is why he's so neutral about the situation, because he know's he will end up owning both regarldess Fanboy's (not saying our resident PSFanboy it poor lol) are created by people that can only afford one console, so they cling to that for dear life, and tell themselves it's the best out of denial! Sorry, i had to make a joke about it. P.S.
  14. I put my name down at GAME last month to get an exclusive free play of the game tomorrow afternoon. They're doing an evening lock-in with free pizza and stuff for free, so i couldn't turn that down. Some of the reviews I've seen are a bit iffy. So hopefully i'll play the same demo they did, and judge it for my self. So, i'm not watching any of the video above because it will probably be what i'll be playing.
  15. People think it will be the best spot for a GTA style Catalina Island. Lmao, i've read in a couple of places that the fake blueprint map looks like a retarded child's head scan xD
  16. Yeah someone expanded upon that some more too. It's now a mix of the real map and my map and someone else's handywork lol Nah not bothered. It's not like it's "My Work" it's just a rough sketchup of R*'s map.
  17. Does anyone here other than me, Fanboy and possibly Massacre, have a collection of figures or anything collectible for that matter? do you have OCD and collect something random? If you do, share it. I've got a couple of figures from games/film, it's only a small collection, I don't want too much, otherwise i'd have to start dedicating parts of my home to them, and i have a small home. Fanboy & Massacre, you're both welcome to post pictures of things you've got too obviously. Does anyone here other than me, Fanboy and Massacre, have any figures or anything collectible for that matter? do you have OCD and collect something random? If you do, share it. I don't really collect much else. I do the odd papercraft with my Son every once in a while, but they end up getting thrown out after a while. Oh and when i open my beer bottles, i OCD about the caps and think of Fallout every time, i end up with a massive horde of caps, and have to throw them away every couple of months...

The CPU is fine at 1.84 tflops, it's the gddr5 that will mak all tbe difference, all the high res textures will be held in the gddr cache. Where-as the CPU calculates the positions of vertice points and other background calculations, and they aren't too expensive to calculate in comparison.

  21. Russians are never happy unless they're killing something... Lol, but seriously, i wouldn't take that snippet too seriously. We've seen what the game is about in trailers and screenshots, we've been here discussing it for long enough, we know we're going to like it, even if the game was in a raw state with no post effects (basically GTA IV) I know i'd still play this shit all the way through until there was nothing left to do on it.
  22. Yeah, Welcome to the Jungle made the San Andreas' hype through the roof for me. It felt so right.
