  1. It takes practice. And you have to define your paint brush better - never use the default brush settings
  2. It's called a re-paint. You paint over it, like you would in real life - but digitally. So you paint in the missing pieces of the background. I'm basically re-painting in the same way as the original artist did the GTA V image.
  3. I finally decided to have a go at a map, now that everyone else has done all the hard work of finding all the spots in the pics. I've made mine based on what i see in the images, and the other maps so far... This is still a work in progress, so feel free to comment on something i could change. Fitty you got a more complete version of your roaded map? I wanna see if it fits with mine.
  4. HAHAHA! Your computer sounds pretty weak. Are you on a laptop? Your sig sucks for my phone, especially when I'm not in a wifi zone... lol The LS area looks to be slightly smaller than LC, but the city is more dense in the centre and has no water between, unlike LC. LS will seem a lot bigger when at street level. We've either only seen it from bird eye level or very close ground level. We wont be able to appreciate the size until we get to explore it for ourselves.
  5. Nope, i have a wacom pen and graphic tablet What type of tablet do you have? I've used one before and they're hard as fuck to use unless they're the type that has a built in screen. Nothing special, it's like A5 bamboo tablet, no screen, they cost a bomb. The longest part was reworking the background and removing the vinewood sign. The dupzor sign was easy enough. Painting with a pen gives you a better flow than a mouse for sure, but some stuff is better done with a mouse, like straight edges.
  6. Cool suggestions guys, will have to rewatch them, it's been a while. I found Ronin on Netflix, so i'll be watching that tonight.
  7. We gots a leaker in our midst! lol I've seen a couple of other things of mine n there too. Maybe i will start watermarking them with igta5...
  8. meh, i'm not too bothered. It's a GTA screenshot after all. I watermark my own work though.
  9. Someone's posted my fan HUD/UI on a random Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=244509082341044&set=a.159347734190513.15841.156785184446768&type=1&theater
  10. No effects. It was hand painted over the original Vinewood sign.
  11. I see what you're saying. I too like it when the HUD is as minimal as possible. But i did a mock-up based on what i read, not what i wanted. If it was all closed though, it is fairly mininal. Although i did add the weapon in the corner, and i wasn't sure if that was ever there, i just assumed it was because of previous GTA games.
  12. I found a clearer (less Jpeg'd) version of the Franklin pic whilst on google, didn't realise it's been posted already, but here it is: /edit Actually i just found all high-res ones (although imgur will probably nuke the quality):
  13. I made a few tweaks to my HUD. Added the "cone" to the minimap. Moved the character circle to the right corner, possibly mentioned in one of the previews (I've heard it is, but haven't seen the facts). Added the ifruit interface mentioned in previous previews - Still could do with some work on the apps. Removed $ from the top as it's in the character circle stat window anyway... Added a single character icon in the bottom corner, so when the character circle is closed, you know who you are (obvious, but it caters for noobs) Moved the current location (that appears when you enter new territory) below the map. Moved the vehicle name (that splashes up when you enter a new vehicle) above the map. Not sure about the phone atm. Maybe they'll have the camera zoom right in on the screen this time around, so it's centered or something.
  14. I fucking wish GTA V was as dense as real L.A. Still, it will be worthy, i will spend much of my life inside it.
  15. CBA to make new thread, there's not really much new here, so: GAMES Magazine, sourced from GTAforums:
  16. ^ I hope not. If you travel to a location then switch to anther character and go to the same place, they couldn't have gone far. I just hope they appear on the Mini-map as an icon or something, so you can meet up with them. Or just call them on your phone and ask them to come to you...
  17. I think the 'ECK' written on the side of the shipwreck could be a 'Deck'... lol
  18. I thought of this. I also thought about how to commit 'the perfect crime'. If you have a target and said police officers and possible witnesses in the same area, would we possibly be able to kill the target, swicth to another character, take out the police, and then switch the final character and take out all the witnesses (and maybe cameras) in one dynamic shootout. No-one will ever know what happened except us...
  19. Nice underwater shot. I think i can see land and palm trees in the top left!
  20. Only just got around to watching this on Netflix.
  21. Yeah some of it might be in the wrong place, i haven't read those reviews since may 2nd. I think the minimap was the hardest to do, since they mainly said it was a rectangle sat-nav style map.
