  1. Nice topic. This was brought up in the Mapping topic once or twice. I think i said something like; I'll drive or run to the nearest tall mountain (probably as Trevor, as he lives in the open) and gasp at the open world before finding an interesting area to goto. I'll probably look for Mt Chiliad first and try ascend it! Unless i get distracted by something awesome obviously, like wild animals or interesting new vehicles.
  2. Anyone here with a PS3 played this game yet? I got it just before Christmas as a quick treat whilst browsing the PS Store. For those of you that haven't, and don't really know what it's about, i will explain. Mankind has somehow disappeared, not sure if they were wiped out or up and left. But that's all we know to begin with. Animals have become viscous and selective and have taken over the streets of Tokyo. You start out as Either a 'predator' or a 'grazer' which have obvious differences in survival styles. There are two modes; - Survival is simple - Chose an animal, breed and survive as long as possible whilst fulfilling challenge requirements. Challenges can be as simple as finding 4 "meals" in a row, or taking over territory on one district, or fight a ferocious beast in a neighboring district. - Chapter mode is unlocked over time, based on challenge results in Survival mode. These are set stories surrounding the disappearance of man kind, and the evolution of common house pet's instinctive requirements. So that's what the game is about. Do i like it? At first i was like hmm... how could this be any different from those Tamogotchi things from the 90's. And i was right, to some extent. It's survival of the fittest and you have to use skill and logic to survive. It's challenging at times, and requires full attention, as you could walk around the corner without creeping, missing the tall grass next to you, and get ripped in half by an awaiting lion. or you could run up to two sleeping hyenas and stealth kill one, but the other yelps for backup and you're suddenly in shit creek. So you have to asses every possible kill. The game is surprisingly addictive, and is one of those games where you will continue to go back for more. Different Creatures are unlocked over time through challenges, and rewards you with by making them available at the start of each game. There is a big selection of animals/breeds to chose/unlock ranging from pomeranian dogs though to elephants and crocodiles. For a cheap PSN download, which is also playable through remote play on Vita. This game is a must try. You will never have played anything like it imo... 8/10 - It doesn't matter if it's not a full title, a well deserved 8/10 for new and enjoyable gameplay style.
  3. Took a few screens here and here when i remembered too whilst playing through. ( ^ Low draw distance lol ^ ) Haven't played it much in the last two or three days though. Far Cry 3 has distracted me for the moment. As well as a couple of downloads from PSN recently. I'll go back to this soon though, i always do.
  4. Welcome King Diamond, you seem like the type of person that would fit in well around here. *touches penis*

    GTA 3

One warning though, that mission where you throw the grenade or Molotov into the window was pathetically difficult lol.... well it was for me anyway.

    GTA 3

GTA 3's HUD customization is pretty much the same as Vice City and the autoaim is almost the same. Pretty much feels the same if I'm honest, apart from car physics and all the original upgrades Vice City had over GTA 3.

    GTA 3

It took me a while to figure out that you needed to tap the guy you wanted to autoaim at before shooting. After that the game wasn't so hard. Vice City was just as much a great nostalgic trip as 3 was!
  8. Well at least we know rockstar listen to the fans, vets and noobs. I still can't get my head around what would be so interesting about the underwater part of the game. They wouldn't go to this much effort for a few fish and hidden collectables unless there was more to it... maybe we'll get some interesting underwater missions in the main story somehow...
  9. I made this whilst playing Lego with my Son. I think i took it too far lol.
  10. I noticed something. Right at the start just after the doc talks. There is a new hymn chant sound. That sounds just like the start of Psycho fucking Mantis' theme tune from shadow Moses! Could that floating boy in this trailer be a young Mantis? That would make complete sense to the trailer if it's MGS, as Snake could be in some sort of Mantis mind control. If it's Ground Zeroes, then it's set some time In the late 70's early 80's. Mantis would have been a young boy then according to wiki! I know it's a different tone/pitch, but listen to the first bit, compare and tell me what you think? I may be wrong, but it's the first thing i thought when i heard the change of audio.
  11. Anyone ever wrapped a present and then coated the entire thing in tape just to watch them get pissed off coz they can't find a rippable corner? I have, it's fucking hilarious. I may do it to my son this year, he's old enough to get frustraited at such a thing now. I'll blame it on Santa.
  12. The cherry popper is always a good experience when it comes to GTA.
  13. My Wife knows me too well now. I'm getting three PS3 games and a bottle of aftershave. Have no clue what i may get from other relatives.
  14. If it landed in your house you could have decorated it/around it, and say you had a drunk Christmas tree. About 5 years ago, i was living at home with the parents. I had the attic room. The wind was nasty one year and toppled a tree over next to my house. One of the branches took the corner of my roof off and caved in the corner where i sleep. Only like 5-6 brick come off, and a load of tiles on the roof. There was rubble on my bed. But I was out that night luckily..
  15. Agreed. I lost interest within the first month. I kept going on to catch up with friends, and ended up getting bored to death with the constant grind of infinity. Never felt like i'd get anywhere, and lost too many hours i can't get back! Fuck you Acti-Bliz, you're ruining the games industry!
  16. *Spent half a million on an Apocalypse proof bunker* *World doesn't end* *Kills self because can't afford to pay back bunker loan*
  17. Oh snap, I finish at 10pm too, will it end at 10:11pm GMT? lol In all honesty this is stupid, it's been on the news and everything, ensuring people we don't be killed so not to kill ourselves... xD
  18. I just came across a strange but interesting fact... 2001 - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty / Grand Theft Auto III 2004 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater / Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas 2008 - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots / Grand Theft Auto IV 2013 - Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes / Grand Theft Auto V They also brought out portable games between. Well aleast - in my opinion - There is a common ground in my two favourite game developers... They both take their time telling there story rather than rushing them out half finished every year. *cough* call of duty *cough* Assassin's Creed *cough*
  19. I know it's already been mentioned from the day the trailer was released. But i decided to get some screencaps from both trailers in full HD and try to get clear images of Snake and the Phantom Man. It's pretty clear it can't be anyone other than Snake (or clone). These images say it all. The face shape, the lip shape, the nose shape, the facial hair and the bandage where the eyepatch is meant to be... All looks exactly the same.
  20. I just tried dragonfruit for the first time... Not bad, tasted like watermelon but sweeter, with a kiwi texture.
  21. Yep, i always use this to my advantage if i don't have a car lol.
  22. The artwork is nice to see after all these years. Looking forward to part two. I do like the art style for the GTA III Era. I think they should keep that sort of caricature alive in some way. Maybe a new manhunt in the RAGE engine but with this style!
