  1. I Like! My speculation was right though, i knew they'd show a more action packed trailer with all three characters this time, after the major exposure the magazines revealed. Watching for the third time to see more of the background stuff!
  2. Landmarks a la LA Noire would be nice. ALSO: Why have we not been able to put multiple "bookmarks" on our pause map? Goddamnit, I wanna remember the swingset glitch AND my favorite sniping spot. That's a good point. I'd love to be able to leave like waypoint markers on the main map. They should be marked as active waypoints or inactive based on whether or not you want to go there, so your minimap doesn't get too cluttered.
  3. I still think this trailer will be more action packed. Full off crazy shootouts. Just my opinion. I do hope to see some new parts of the map though.
  4. Now we know that the story revolves around 'heists'. Can anyone think of any decent heist films? Classic would be better, i guess, as Dan only takes influence from classic material. Dan Houser & Rockstar North must have taken influence from some. I'd like to get the references when i play it! Here are some I already know of: Films to watch before playing GTA V Ocean's Eleven (1960) Snatch. (2000) Heat (1995) - Already used in IV though, maybe some other parts of the film will be referenced in V. Reservoir Dogs (1992) Jackie Brown (1997) Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) The Sting (1973) The Italian Job (1969) The Getaway (1972) Swordfish (2001) A Fish Called Wanda (1988) Heist (2001) Ronin (1998) The Asphalt Jungle (1950) The Town (2010) Drive (2011) Ambush (1939) Rififi (1955) The Killing (1956) Seven Thieves (1960) The Big Snatch (1963) Topkapi (1964) Gambit (1966) Robbery (1967) The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) A Cop (1972) Charley Varrick (1973) The Brink's Job (1978) The First Great Train Robbery (1978) The Score (2001) Bank Shot (1974) Loophole (1981) Ocean's Eleven (2001) Ocean's Twelve (2004) Ocean's Thirteen (2007) Sexy Beast (2000) Inside Man (2006) Mission: Impossible (1996) The Man Inside (1958) Fun with Dick and Jane (1977) /edit - i'm adding these to the first post to makes things easier.
  5. I'm on the 'I <3 IV car handling' bandwagon. Only because I got really good at driving, i used to win a lot online. And I liked the learning curve to driving in IV. Arcade driving is easy to pick up, but feels unnatural, like you're driving feather on ice rather than a muscle car with a heavy chassis .
  6. I think I'll do some off roading with Trevor first. Once I have control of him anyway. I'll grab the nearest off-road vehicle and drive towards the nearest mountain, and drive to it's peak and scan the skyline horizon for some cool landmarks to visit.
  7. The map size is bigger than Gta San Andreas + Gta Iv + Red Dead which is pretty god damn big, this is both interior and exterior but still. I know this now I wrote that a year ago.
  8. I like Desperados beer & tequila. I think i may treat myself to a bottle of single barrel this year. For the festive season.
  9. Franklin is a bit of a background guy atm. No one really mentions him, apart from CJ hardcores (black people).
  10. Someone just posted this on facebook: the link is from gtanet so maybe? Wasn't sure if it was the real background or not though.
  11. Just some songs i'd like to hear in 'V. Trevor's Theme tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hje28F-IhLo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwAw9ThDQmk
  12. So from what i understand, in the IGN video, one guy mentions that there is the three characters selectable from the top of the HUD with a forth blacked out widget which R* said would be something to do with mulitplayer. The question is, will you be able to create a multiplayer protagonist and then select him/her from that HUD wheel type thing, which then 'google earths' you straight into your own freeroam game seamlessly, where you can invite other players?
  13. Not a memorable issue in the US, as far as I remember. But there is a video of Psy in line buying his game in the UK late at night. Maybe my facts are wrong but it seems that this was the case. Get what you pay for = Nothing. Sorry for limited data. I attended a midnight launch at GAME in the UK. It was quite good actually. GTA is the only game i'll ever wait around for at midnight though. Loads of GTA fans all together discussing their excitement about the game and what they don't want. Kind of like these forums actually...
  14. Well we now know this song was in 'V' in the preview that one of the articles mentioned. If you include the trailer song is there a 60's-70's music theme going on through GTA V?
  15. Midnight club LA was a bit of a dodgy title for car handling. The low level cars - without tuning - felt terrible. But the tuned cars were pretty good. I just hope they leave some aspect of GTA IV in the handling, otherwise i'll have to learn to drive all over again!
  16. It's a buggy. Yeah looks to me like a back end of a modern BF Injection.
  17. Yeah looks ok. The alignment of the images is kinda weird, but it doesn't matter lol It's new screens!
  18. Ooo very nice. I particularly like the one with the climbing the Vinewood sign!
  19. I was thinking that too. it slows too much, taking you away from the action too much. I doubt you'd need to switch up this often in mission anyway. I'm sure V will be much quicker and smoother.
