Nope, I've not played it in a couple of days. Last I played, I was on the chapter just after the ship with the crossbow.

None of them beat these Gif's: I heard Cranston mentioned that Season 5 is due for a July 2012 premier?

At least you guys got a game. i managed to connect mid-game but disconnected before i could get a kill. it seemed to happen quicker when i joined a posse.

I'm around at11pm. Someone pm me on psn if this still goes ahead.

That was pretty cool, I like it when developers and crew have interesting stories to tell from their location trips.
-
Yeah it's on xbox live too. Not sure about steam though, but there's a chance it's available for PC, it's in the unreal engine. I just got hold of the crossbow, which is so bloody handy, but you gotta look after the one and only bolt you get with it, make sure you retrieve it every kill!

I started on survival difficulty, generally expecting the game to be short, survivor mode would hopefully extend my play time. I'm up to chapter 11 of the game (not sure how many chapters there are) and have clocked around 6 hours. I don't feel like I'm coming close to the end of the game, but I also don't think it's going to be that long of a game. If you're expecting a long AAA survival game like fallout, this probably isn't the game for you. But if you want a cheap PSN/XBL title with an interesting twist on the post apocalyptic genre, with Silent Hill style isolation, then this game is worth your small change.

^Yeah that always happened to one of us in RDR. And me and marney always had issues getting into the same party in GTA IV the last time. I get similar problems connecting with friends who live nearby...

I Am Alive is a logic survival game based in a post-disaster city, which has been torn apart by earthquakes. The sand below is dangerous and suffocating, so avoiding ground level and below is just one way people survive in this world. Elements within the game such as logic/problem solving it also a key to survival. For example: If you have five guys trying to loot you, and you have one bullet, you need to figure out how you'll get out of this mess. Climbing large set pieces, like that of Uncharted is also a large gameplay mechanic within 'I Am Alive'. I first found the demo available on the PSN store the other day. I realised that after only playing for 15-20 minutes that i would really like this game. I completed the demo and then played it again on survival mode - which was even more fun! The main character carries a gun, but almost always has next to no ammo, if any. So any bullets you do find, are literally only used to get you out of life or death situations. Survival mode is made more difficult by allowing you less retries after dieing, meaniung you have to start from the start of the chapter. Anyway, i bought the game the next day, and for £11.99 (£9.99 PS-Plus), this game is a bargain. Enough of my experience, I'll let you judge this game for yourself. Action Trailer: Gamplay Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40EHOO-prrk If i were to relate this game to any others, it would have to be a mix of: Silent Hill (navigation), Uncharted (climbing huge objects), Fallout (post apoc survival). Although I haven't completed the game yet, I'm going to go ahead and rate it. I'm giving it a 8/10 purely based on gameplay. The graphics are a little out-dated, but nothing that will put you off playing. Some of the looters that attack can feel a bit repetitive in places, but overall the feel of the game is quite unique, and can't really be missed at such a low price. Enjoy.

This reminds me of Uncharted 3 alot, for some reason Reminds me more of RDR - grab the bag tbh.

I've been using the nightingale armour since I got it, which was ages ago. I have much stronger armours, but I don't really need them as an archer, so I just stuck with the nightingales, because it looks so cool.

General PC Discussion - special cameo appearance by Asthenia
DuPz0r replied to Asthenia's topic in Geek Central
I'd suggest maybe getting a 650W PSU if you're planning to overclock to 5ghz, as well as any other components you decide to overclock. Overall though it should be a good runner. -
I really want in on this one, haven't played RDR in a long time, and I much prefer the multiplayer on this to IV.
-
Which were we meant to be playing today, GTA IV, TBoGT or RDR? I'm slightly confused. I was wondering around on PSN waiting for an invite or something.

What's the time gonna be this week, 23:00 or 00:00?
-
A bit late, but no-one posted it, so i will:
-
- Go Three Levels Deep: Enter the Dominatrix within the Dominatrix within the Dominatrix to recruit former Saints from the depths... COOOL!
-
And RDR connects better...

Sign me up for this one. I don't have uni for 2 weeks. So providing the connection goes smoothly, I'm in. (It never turns out that way though)

Sweeeet! Hunting elements are pretty much confirmed here! I do hope there is more of a freeroam/exploration element. I never really felt like free-roaming in AC 1,2 etc. It was more of an 'oh I have to collect things outside of a mission, I might as well try and go for 100% then'. Not an 'oh, that looks like a nice wilderness environment, maybe I'll go see if i can find something cool to do'. AC needs to strengthen this feeling for me.

What? in my opinion ACII was FAR better than AC I, AC I was so boring to me, but AC II is one of my favourite games of all time. I love the setting and storyline, and you're one of the few people that I've seen that don't like Ezio. That's not bad, it's just personal preference. Altair is badass indeed, but I didn't like the gameplay of ACI. Agreed, AC I just didnt do it for me, its a good game but its the worst of the series if you ask me. I enjoyed the story for AC1, but the concept sort of missed the mark with gameplay elements. It was the first of the kind, and on PS3 only at first wasn't it? So they were generally finding their feet. In some ways like GTA IV, they were missing some elements to make it just that much better. AC2 was far more exciting to play, because they implemented those extra things it needed to be a rounded game. And I think the renaissance period and the location was far more interesting.

Nice! I wonder if Jamie has a tattoo planned for this game.

I still think this game would rock if it had a sort of group game element 2-8 players or something. I said this with Fallout too I believe. Obviously headsets wouldn't be right in skyrim, so someone would have to think of another ingenious way to communicate. Maybe through messenger dragons...

Too late for me. I gotta be up at 6am. I'll join you guys one day!
