RDR2 Mapping [Interiors & Out of Map inc.]
TreeFitty replied to DuPz0r's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Oh wow didn't realize that rock was exactly the same. haha cool shit. So that links two more places together... And looking at the original leaked map there are some buildings south of Valentine, and they would be in the right area for that third mound mentioned previously to their east. -

Make it BIGGER for the n00bs to see. And yes, it is the same. Made a pic now that I have sleep: I've been trying to decipher the difference between roads and railways on the minimap but there doesn't seem to be a definite or obvious system. "Trails" are dashed lines but roads/rails seem to be almost the same line. I have noticed circles on railways. You can see the same thing on this shot: But this one is literally on the tracks while they rob people and there are no circles: Only other thing I see is that the railways are wider than roads. Maybe when we get more in-game screenshots we'll see something better. -

^Dup posted in that thread. Maybe he'll learn to put his name on things... and age apparently. Maps I've been putting together with radar shots where available Gray parts = estimated Valentine Van Horn Rhodes I'm going to bed now. x_x -

I was going with the not-Downes updated theory. I'm wondering if the ranch Dup pointed out is Lucky's Cabin or nearby and the large rock we see is that third large mound in the wide shot from the previous trailer. I don't think it's the unknown purple location south of the large rock soley based on the sun position in the ranch shot. Assuming it's sunrise, then the ranch needs to be west of the rock. Just adding these to Rhodes... <--- this whole scene is next to the red hotel (seen through window), horses ride by the hotel after this shot <--- backside of green grocery <--- pans over to the Gray Woolen Mill to the left <--- red hotel behind the green grocery <--- front of grocery, probably related to getting Arthur out in gameplay trailer <--- gunsmith on right, blue building left <--- this might be the large house in the right far background of Dup's pic. Same window style and colors. edit hours later: There's actually another similar structure behind the blue building/gunsmith you can see 4 pics above. You can add this shot into the mix. That's the [not Downes] ranch in the background: -
They also do a pretty good job of destroying Valentine during the trailers/screenshots but this one building seems to be the only one with any kind of change. As we've seen there will definitely be some areas/ranches that get wiped out as the story goes on. Similar to the O'Neil ranch in GTA V getting burned down. Good question about when RDRO will take place.

I really need to go through older pics again. Some of what we got didn't mean much until now since we can link little things between big things. The rocks are these here: The small rock might be south of the trail but the final shot of the first trailer looks like there is a trail in front of it. Hard to tell with the tall grass in the way for most of it. Also, I tried looking into the spanish island thing for hints it may be the desert. Two of the names are spanish. "Le Vilaj" is Haitian. So it's probably an island but maybe not a Mexican one... If it is based on Hispaniola that would take us well away from the mainland US for some reason. Haiti does have some desert but I can't find pics that look as cliche as the RDR2 shot. Plus the Gila Monster is a southwest US/northwest Mexico creature. -
And that's where the snow/greenery could be overlooked as game development ("hey, maybe we put too much snow" or "It looks nicer with more green"). This construction goes beyond that.

Going through screencaps of the trailer(s) again to map out Valentine, I noticed something about one of the buildings... Map for reference. We are looking at Keane's Hotel just below this: This shot is from the very end of the gameplay trailer during a heist/robbery of some sort. Notice the building on the left with lumber out front and no big signs on it (there is a "Help Wanted" sign on the post): Now in these two shots construction has moved along. There is only a sawhorse out front with a wagon that has some wood and a (assumed) temporary ramp instead of stairs: And now in these shots from previous trailers/screenshots there is a sign advertising "Keane's rooms for rent". Note the building is still not finished: This seems to be more than game development/progression. This is Rockstar changing props to show in-game progress. Thoughts?

What if that big thing in the background of the window shot *is* the large rock? The smaller one would be off to the left. Just adding this other scene (bottom right) to Van Horn... Some older shots we can link to Van Horn: <--- Assuming this is the same scene as previous... Also if you want another place that seems to be shown a lot in the gameplay trailer, these rock formations are in a few shots (obvious and background): Lots-o-pics ahead while I revisit Valentine... This is all Valentine: <--- Dutch was in this saloon (see far below). Blue building on right is connected below. <--- Church connection for these 3 fight shots. ^Note buildings on left are same as quoted above right-hand side including the blue one from my first pic. Sheriff and doctor on right. ^This is farther down the street as the previous. ^Church again and Sheriff/Drug store from 2 pics above ^Same gun fight, down the street a little more ^Worths General Store from above. Also shown in previous trailers. ^Inside Farrier at opposite end of street from church. Pics from the past of Valentine... <--- Dutch is in a saloon <--- Doctor office 50th edit for this hours later: made a map... -

I'm wondering if that Mexico area is for a very short part of the story. Sort of like going to Liberty City in GTASA or North Yankton in GTAV. Hell, maybe Javier Escuella will be playable pre-gang era and we see his upbringing or something. -

That's the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw that pic. Great Plains with Blackwater off to the right. That bit of mountain above the Blackwater church would be Horseshoe Overlook. I'd like to note how nonchalant they revealed Blackwater being in RDR2. I feel like it was supposed to be a surprise for fans but the leaked map kind of ruined it. RE: Big Valley... I still think that's Little Creek. Just my opinion. -

I don't think the Heartlands is that "small", though. It's about as big as New Austin and Rio Bravo from the old game put together (looking at the mashup old+new leaked map). The desert portion alone might be small but I could see it fitting in. A good chunk of what we've seen of the Heartlands is the north, west, and east ends. There always seems to be hills blocking these areas off from the south/central part. Using the leaked map you see Horseshoe Overlook as massive cliffs and we know from the first trailer there are pretty big [grassy] hills south of the Kerosene/Tar and oil fields. I could see the desert being squeezed in there east/southeast of Horseshoe. Where the leaked map has "Larned Sod" marked is north of where I think it is. Dewberry Creek is east of where I think it is. Side note: Google informs me that "Larned" is a real place in Kansas (basically north of Texas). No idea if this will be related in some way. edit: here's a pic... Also, if we can flesh out these villages enough we could make a "tour" and show off these areas (BS some details based on what we've seen). I'm sure Rockstar will beat us to the punch, though, by the time we get enough info. -

The "you killed my cousin" chick is also Van Horn. Same camera angle as the first pic you have but farther down the street. -

I think it's in the middle/south end of the Heartlands. Everything west and north is mountains and east is swamps. -
From the gameplay trailer: added badgers, bats, cats, chickens, ducks, eagles, fish, foxes, and gila monsters.

For the non-USA people, this guy is wearing a Confederate general coat: Updated character list with people from the trailer that seem of interest: http://www.ireddead.com/reddeadredemption2/characters/ Right now this is more in-depth than the wikia. Machine gun on trailer if no one noticed: I'm also surprised there isn't some major outcry about kids in a Rockstar game. It isn't just Jack: I remember people being shocked when GTA 5 had female cops. Nothing about these kids, though.

Yeah I think I conceded. -
Online is usually last to get previewed so that'll probably be late September or early October. Then the game reviews mid-late october right before release.

Big Score Gauntlet mission problem
TreeFitty replied to defecapob's topic in GTA 5 Mission Discussion
I'm not sure the game is coded to give a certain car to a certain person during the heist. I never tried to do that although it sounds a little fun if you could get a green car for Franklin, blue for Michael, and yellow for Trevor. If the pattern is consistant, seems like all you would need to do is have Franklin make his car blue, Trevor's green, etc. (Or whatever mods you choose) -
Camp outside and shoot potential customers? I think Tony looks a lot better than the Brucie remake:

Website Problems/Issues/Requests

Psy said he had issues trying to update the forums too. I'm still wondering what changed to cause these issues to begin with. Seems so random.
