No you bet on the winner and then play the match. Only spectating would be a boring way to do things.
-
@Q: They don't but it's nice to hop on a freight train and let it wisk you away. @Fish: Robbing stores, robbing other players, doing missions, winning matches or betting high on the winner.

But not even *I* know what the single best feature is.

Well no one asked about trains, awards (MP3 grinds), etc so....

News Post.

Something I thought was cool was when I got two of the protags together (not for an activity or anything) after the end and they actually discussed what happened. No cutscene. It was just like two pedestrians talking.

A quarter of those 69 are the 6 big heists with ~3 simple setup missions each.

Long story short, I got to play GTA Online for about 8 hours today. The fansites were let loose to do whatever we wanted so there isn't a copy/paste preview like the gaming media sites. Instead, feel free to post questions and I'll answer what I can in a news post. Have at it.

On the upside you still need to level up in order to unlock the guns/whatever else. So it will be easier but they won't have it all in the first 10 minutes.

Psychiatric Reports [Spoilers Maybe]
TreeFitty replied to DuPz0r's topic in GTA 5 Post-Release Discussion
It looks at what activities (and other things) you have or have not done when the story ends. I did barely any hobbies so it said something "afraid of new things". -
I knew what was going to happen (kind of obvious) so I smashed into the SUV before he said a word. Then knocked him over with my truck and he gave up.

General Hints/Tips Discussion
TreeFitty replied to Massacre's topic in GTA 5 Post-Release Discussion
I've also switched and found them driving whichever vehicle I had with them last. -
Turning real cash into fake cash that can be lost easily in-game. I wonder how many stupid people are going to do buy into it (assuming it's true which seems likely).

That was all the idiots looking at a rock in the second trailer. Probably gta5videos. Sounds like something that kid would post. On the topic of animals and that channel, there is actually a dinosahr and still no horses. It just happens to be a tourist trap and not a living creature...

Or you just walk up to one parked on the tarmac, stand next to the front wheel, and hit triangle. -
Increasing volume of police radio
TreeFitty replied to cameron354's topic in GTA 5 Post-Release Discussion
Police chatter probably counts as sound effects - which is what every other sound is - so increasing that will increase everything and not help at all. -
Take the discussion elsewhere. This isn't a discussion topic.

I don't think that comes down to a studio decision, though. I would say anything cut from the game was simply because they had already packed as much as they could onto the discs. This isn't EA.

General Hints/Tips Discussion
TreeFitty replied to Massacre's topic in GTA 5 Post-Release Discussion
Tip I learned getting through the game: don't bother purchasing or even finding armor or weapons before going into missions (unless required). With health regeneration you really don't need armor. There's a few chase missions where people are constantly shooting at you but for most of the missions you either drive away from the bullets easily or have plenty of cover during combat. As for weapons you might want something more powerful than what is given but you are usually provided a decent weapon and plenty of ammo (assuming you are not spraying everything). My opinion, at least. -
That's what I'm wondering for the same reasons. I haven't had a chance to see if they transfer over to another yet. I'm pretty sure Rockstar won't prevent you from 100% completing the game but this is kind of a different choice.

It's in the LS port too. I forget which part.

I know there was supposed to be one or two more for that guy but when I had to decide there weren't any on my map for him.

Cutter and Dock Handler in free Roam
TreeFitty replied to imakuni1995's topic in GTA 5 Post-Release Discussion
Dock handler is around the docks (go figure) probably more easily found in the eastern container terminal. I think I've seen the police buffalo spawn at some police stations. Other ones I'm not too sure about.- 2 replies

I was going to pick 3 but there weren't anymore strangers for 2 (in my game, atleast) so that's what I went with. Tried to pull up when the option came but I guess the choice is already made at that point. If I knew what would happen with 3 I would've done that.
