  1. The two black house icons in this screencap are in Vespucci (basically Venice irl, near Franklin's weed shop). Franklin's house isn't even shown on the radar which would be right above the white gun range icon.
  2. Okay, I'm convinced Rockstar has either accidentally used structures [far] outside of Southern California or they are really stretching their "reimagination" of it. First is the rail bridge. Since the first screenshot of it the only match I found was one in Canada - a very good match. I had searched Google 10 different ways for a rail bridge in Southern California and it actually popped up in the image results for "truss arch rail bridge california". The real bridge is Stoney Creek Bridge in British Columbia: Now here's what I was looking at just now. In this next screencap you can see a motel in the background (individual yellow boxes with the letters and some signage under it including a red arrow). Searching Google for "route 66 motel california" brings up an image of an almost exact motel sign for Glancy Motel which is on historic Route 66. The problem is that it's in Oklahoma. There have been a few others that I can't think of off-hand where a similar structure was a little far from Southern California. /rant
  3. It's quite different than Photoshop. It takes a little more time to make something but usually easier to alter things afterward. I actually made a GTA IV-style version of the GTA V map pretty quickly since it's easier to alter colors.
  4. Definitely translated. Still some interesting tidbits, though, like the pet ownership and selling meat to Burger Shot.
  5. Inkscape. I make .svg files so I can basically zoom in or make a huge image if I wanted. I started using Inkscape a couple years ago when I started making this.
  6. If you watch the gameplay video carefully during the helicopter hostage grab, the white house icon on the radar changes between Michael and Franklin. Franklin's is further south and Michael's is more west which makes perfect sense given their [known] home locations.
  7. So anyway, since it's 2 months to go, here's something I've been working on: Obviously it will be updated as we get more screens/videos.
  8. There was a bit of a controversy with GTA IV being edited for Aussies. FYI. I don't think Rockstar titles since have had an issue, though, especially since the unedited version of IV eventually made it into the market just fine.
  9. When the cops initially point their guns at a criminal, sometimes they put their hands up for a second or two and then run (just like you can do with Niko). I'm pretty sure you can randomly find someone running from the cops too unless the initial confrontation happens out of view.
  10. That wasn't a hands-on preview. None of the gaming media have had hands-on previews yet (or at least haven't posted them yet if that's in the process).
  11. The only thing I remember about bears was the tards looking at a rock in the second trailer. Also our animal page is at 9. Probably ten with random birds flying around.
  12. I'm pretty sure people noticed it. Even if it's a random world event it's not really new since the cops have gone after other criminals since Vice City. GTA IV had them getting put into cop cars too.
  13. Good enough in here. Can throw all the post-gameplay screens in here until they are officially released. /topic renamed
  14. A lot faster than I was expecting but not really a bad thing.
  15. Flag with bike = bike race Flag with car = car race, checkmark likely means you completed it. Parachute = base jumping location Star = dunno but the others are "duh".
  16. More than likely on IPB's end. Give it some time. If it's still broke tomorrow we can check up on things.
  17. Maybe I just get bored with the video easily, but I'm completely missing the part where bulldozers were supposedly mentioned. Anyone know the time in video when it is mentioned?
  18. That's the Los Santos Gun Club in the Downtown area, so I assume it is a "gun store with a shooting range" icon and the others are just small gun shops or illicit dealers.
  19. I'm used to IE which stays zoomed in on every website until you set it back. I guess Chrome knows what different websites you zoomed in on.
