GTA V Animal Discussion
TreeFitty replied to asdfguy's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Welcome to the forums. We have various topics to talk about different things. This is the animal topic for talking about animals. We also have a wishlist topic for general things people wish to have included into the game. Feel free to post your ideas in the appropriate topic. -
Their only flaw was stating "owned". You never claim it. You let others proclaim it.
-
The pic I posted was an early screenshot. Things change. Niko and especially Marston were different between early views and the final game.

I guess you haven't seen Red Dead Redemption. Oh, and Max Payne 3. And the weapon wheel-type thing they tried out in IV.
-
And the potential for a 2012 release of GTA V gets crushed... Also agreed. I'm not really a fan of all this small DLC even though Rockstar now prefers it since RDR. More money I assume.

The project transitions look nice.

GTA V. Why it's October 2012!!
TreeFitty replied to Caolan Mc Garry's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Plenty. Unfortunately the constant stream of new members brings in people (or kiddies as the case would be) who are not aware of previous happenings both recently and long term for the GTA series or the gaming industry as a whole. We can put up info pages, news, and say it here in the forums hundreds of times but that will not stop certain individuals from glancing over what's in front of them and disregard what has been said. The same applies to "leaks" and other informative (or lack of) discussions. @Ku Zi: If your posts are gone, they were deleted for a reason. Stop spamming in every single topic or you'll be suspended. -

It's not a confirmation of anything. They guessed a date just like everyone else. This is old. And I'll merge these since they are retarded related. -

It's in their system just to have a date in there so people will hand over their money for a pre-order. We've known that for a while. -
@koeklin: I've been assuming that. (map approximation above does not really show it in the right spot but I'm running out of room on there) @kenny: I've been kind of doing that with another more accurate map project. If your friends want to give it a shot then go ahead. It's a big pain in the ass lining things up.

GTA V Serious and Unserious aspects.
TreeFitty replied to McGarry's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
/moved the wishlist posts to the wishlist topic /edited OP to be less of a wishlist topic and more of a useful discussion As for seriousness or not, I'm certain Rockstar will stick to a serious tone for the story/plot with litte instances of comic relief. Basically the same as IV with Roman. Of course there will be humorous things such as advertisements and such. Rockstar loves dick jokes so there will be plenty of those. -

You're blind if you think the guy in the blue car is in his 20's. -
My theory on the music in Grand Theft Auto V includes radio stations with: Talk Radio Lazlow (I bet his crappy show in LC wasn't working out so he moved) Public News Hip Hop Old School (west coast) Current (either coast, mostly west artists) Rock Classic Alternative Metal Mainstream Pop Electro/Club/Dance Oldies Easy Listening Contemporary Country Other Classical Spanish Asian Gospel/Church

What the hell are you talking about? 30 years? They are about 10 years apart at the most. Free roam would still be in between missions like always. -
So glad we aren't a Max Payne forum. The fanboys would be going at it like crazy.

Your friend is bullshitting you. You're dumb enough to believe him. Don't worry, I don't think you got anyone's hopes up. -
The New York City Department of Records just digitized over 870,000 never-before-seen photos and put them online. There are many black & white pics from the 1930s showing the cityscape and even some crime scene photos. The vast majority of the pics are color from the 1980s when the city photographed every single building. The gallery is through here but it's currently down from everyone wanting to see. The DailyMail.co.uk has some posted in an article.

GTA V is going to be a narrative?
TreeFitty replied to Mighty Mickey's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Not real info. A while ago I had thought about playing missions as flashbacks. As Ned Luke we'd drive around to locations and he'd remember things about that place such as the heist and then we'd play as either the guy in the blue car or even the red car. I'm not sure exactly how the flow would be but it would definitely be different. I'm still not entirely convinced Ned and the blue car guy are the same. -

No, Rockstar's cutscenes are rendered in real time. Unfortunately RAGE glitches here and there but it's also a reminder that when you are watching a beautiful scene, it's real time. -
