  1. Sorry to seem like an asshole, but you made a few grammatical errors on the frontpage. Nothing too major, but worth fixing, in my opinion. Corrected it here, if you want to use it. Earlier today, magazines and websites all over Europe released their own previews for the upcoming 'Grand Theft Auto V'. We have all the new screenshots right here!
  2. 6.3x4=25.2 6.3x5= 31.5 If you take the mean value, you get roughly 28.4mi^2 (square miles). So if the countryside is to be massive, that means the entire map has to be at least 60mi^2, which I doubt since RDR+SA+GTA IV= like 30ish... To me it doesn't all add up. I'm confident it will be larger than Liberty City, but 2 or 3x seems more reasonable to me, if our whole map size of 30-40mi^2 is to be correct. I hope Banana Pudding sees this, can't wait to see how he tries to defend his point now, and I quote ""
  3. First picture. Dat nature. But the trees look like shit, sadly it looks like I'm gonna have to pass on this game.
  4. sounds pretty legit. i guessed my birthday for that contest thing so i hope it comes out the next friday from that date Sorry but you lost. Games come out on Tuesdays 99% of the time, not Fridays.
  5. Yeah, probably. It's a screenshot, and it's not cinematic so I imagine that's how the game will look.
  6. I would prefer 'gameplay' without the HUD and all that type of stuff. Something action packed, not explaining the mechanics and all that shit. Just like the first trailer, and the IV trailers.
  7. I hope the trailer is made up from gameplay, but does not consist of a narrative of gameplay. It should be like the first one, with the games graphics but not so sterotypically identical to every other game that comes out these days with a gameplay series and stuff like that, in my opinion. At least not before the game is released.
  8. What a waste of a first post, it almost made me break down in tears. But to answer your question: No. That guy is Michael, one of the three protagonists to be in GTA V.
  9. Possibly. However at the moment there is no real way of telling, he could be mixed or he could just have a tan. It would be easier to identify his ethnicity if he actually had hair. And if he was Lamar, I would think he would look slightly younger, not that we can see much of him anyway... He looks more like 'Ron', Trevor's friend, but I don't know if his personality suits a heist.
  10. Wait - do you mean this guy? Because to me, it looks like his skintone is the exact same as Michael's.
  11. I'm going to assume "Lamar" is black. Not only because Franklin is black, but Lamar is the blackest fucking name in the world, along with 'Malik' and 'Tyrone', greatly contrasting the name 'Franklin' which I thought became extinct in 1789. That guy is too white to be black.
  12. Not shitlist worth actually something I applaud because he actually took the time to say why no and not the normal "it's bad", the guy has a point. It violates his morals and it's his household, granted his son is almost 18 and is illegally able to play it, but mind you the person is still a minor and his father said no. It's not that he was Bible-thumping as he said he allows violent video games such as good versus bad, but this is Grand Theft Auto. Granted it's only a video game but he's the father and it's his decision. I'm not 18 yet, but I have played a lot of violent games like GTA, AC, CoD. And from my experience, I can conclude his rant about how they influence us to hate cops etc... is 100% bullshit. Normal people aren't affected and influenced to go out and abuse women and kill people, even if they are under 18. Problems only arise when you get someone with an existing problem playing/doing something that could trigger something bad. I have been playing violent games since I was just a 9 year old kid, and it has not once influenced me to kill people or any of the ridiculous stuff a lot of angry parents say video games do. In fact, playing these games has actually broadened my knowledge of all kinds of things, especially games with cultural and historical content such as RDR and AC. It's normal for kids to have a curious and destructive nature, even before they have been exposed to all kinds of media. Basically, only someone with an existing problem is prone to being influenced negatively by videogames or movies.
  13. Yeah I was hunting once and this random deer was charging full speed into a tree, and it never moved forward. So I tried to air assassinate it but I missed, and I couldn't kill it any other way so I had to leave it.
  14. Or it could just be Trevor in the early stages of development, since it has been a year since we saw his character.
  15. A lot of international sites seem to be having exclusive information releasing on the 12th. Wonder if it will all be the same information, just translated into a lot of different languages.
  16. Yeah map speculation doesn't get us anywhere. Now about the ocean floor... Kuz mentioned a valid point about going underwater and how it might cause complications with the actual water. I'm guessing we might die if we go too far out ( or for too long) since scuba diving requires oxygen tanks. Or it might just be copied and pasted after it gets further and further from the coastline, since I doubt they will be creating an invisible wall.
  17. Oh yeah, the did mention Slab City. So I updated the map to be more geographically 'accurate'. The 'A' on that map represents Mount Diablo, the mountain Mt. Chiliad is based off of. And they mentioned it in the interview, so therefore it has to be geographically identical to the real thing, right?
  18. I slightly remade the map. Rockstar said they were trying to capture the 'sprawling' aspect of Los Angeles, trying to do one city - and doing it properly. So I colored over the rest of the city that you missed out. Also I would like to see where the creator of the map saw Slab City - I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the trailer or the GI article. However, Palm Springs was in the trailer. So now calculate the new percentage of the size of the city part of the map in ratio with the rest of it, and tell me what you come up with. It may not be 100% accurate, but neither is yours.
  19. How did it take hours. It only took me 1 minute to download and install the entire thing ( it was only like 53 MB or something like that ). What type of internet connection do you use? PS3 system software updates take a long time for me. Probably around an hour, then the ACIII installation took me 15 minutes. I use wireless connection and it's not very close to the router so the strength is like 60%...
  20. I thought the design of LA in LA Noire was shit, didn't like it at all. The color of the roads bothered me as well, they all looked too new... And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't team Bondi come up with the map for LA Noire?
  21. In the interview they said that melee combat has been improved, but it will never be as focused on as gunfights, which is understandable.
  22. Probably because he's not a 40 year old white guy. 'too black' definitely. I say we should be able to bleach his skin!
  23. What's your point? I think his point is that there is a 0.001% chance that the city will be smaller than' Alderny and Algonquin combined' when the whole map is that fucking big. That is like what... 4mi^2? So you're saying the city accounts for 13% of the whole map (or probably less, since there is 'room to spare'). There is no fucking way that is going to happen. You know why? Because as 'Zee Kay' said: R* said that they are only making one large city, and they are making it as big as they can, as close to scale as they can, of course it wont be exact, it will be scaled down.
  24. I added up those numbers, they add up to over 32... m^2 'with room to spare', so probably like 40m^2
  25. probably the huge mountain in the trailer with the hikers. And maybe the mountains we see in the new picture of the jet.
