Parkour/ Free-running in GTA5
Rayge replied to Tj1987's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Parkour is actually overcoming obstacles using only your body. That's what it originated as, but since then it has evolved into doing fancy tricks to look cool. That would not be a good idea for GTA in my opinion, just the basics of fluid climbing and vaulting. -
Liam Neeson is indeed a badass, but personally I think someone of that age wouldn't fit very well into GTA, no matter how badass they are.

Parkour/ Free-running in GTA5
Rayge replied to Tj1987's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Not wallspin backflip type parkour, but basic vaulting and climbing would be a good idea. In GTA IV it was so un-fluid when you paused to climb over something, or landed a jump. Horrible, I liked Sleeping Dogs element of parkour, not too over the top but not as bad as IV. -
No. Maybe to the untrained eye, but no. Just no.

What will you be doing
Rayge replied to tomvercetti's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
I do, on the car/bus home from the store. -
Want to be able to solo everything? Roll monk. Except for the fact like, 50% of WoW atm is monks. Even healer monks do dps at low level. Other good solo classes include paladins, priests and druids (from my experience, don't know about other classes). Mainly because they can self heal if necessary, allowing them to take on significantly harder mobs without as much trouble.

Depends entirely on how you want to play. However the game is DEFINITELY a lot easier than it was a few years ago, probably to appeal to a larger group of people. But once you learn your class (type of character), you will start to become more effective at whatever role you choose. It doesn't take that long. When you start of at a low level, it's really simple. Then as you level, it gets more complicated but then you also gain more experience. Also: You can try the free trial. It allows you to create characters up to level 20, and let's you play forever. However it's really limited, and the real game is a lot better. If you ever start, roll hunter. They are the best.

Yeah, it was pretty awesome. However you're only eligible if you have been inactive since before March 4, 2012. Can't think why they would have such a random date, it should be for being inactive for 1 year or something. I didn't have time to gear him, so he's practically a green/blue 85 druid. However I'm thinking of leveling him to 90 after my hunter, and before my DK.
-
I haven't really played much at all since 2010... I played occasionally when they still gave out 7 days free, then I recently played (early this year) from the revamped (and totally awesome) scroll of resurrection, allowing me to get an instant 80 druid which I got to 85 in the majority of those 7 days. Now I'll probably be inactive until November/March, depending on how my math exam goes.

Probably not, that idea has already been used up and would just make the story completely shit.

GTA V Story Predictions/Influences
Rayge replied to DuPz0r's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Sorry, but that idea gave me cancer. The chances of all the GTA III era characters happily uniting in a wonderful tale of adventure in V are below... 0%. -
I love Nagrand, it's my favourite place in WoW. I never collected enough JP or HP to buy shitloads of heirlooms, and I only have about 10k g so I can't afford to buy loads of capes helmets and leggings from my guild.

He's not trying to prove just that there is more than 1 city, he's trying to prove that San Fierro and Las Venturas will return - which they probably won't.

105%? damn, that's a lot. That must significantly cut down your /played to get to 90, even though it's already been cut down a lot thanks to dungeon finder.

I made a pandaren hunter on my trail account again. What I didn't count on (but should have, it was pretty damn obvious) was that 4/5 in my dungeon group would be pandaren monks, practically meaning my chance at dungeon loot would rapidly decrease. However, the fact that 90% of alts these days have full heirloom gear granting 1000000% extra exp increases my chance slightly.

Is it about the answer to life?

When I first started listening to early hip-hop, I was also a huge fan of only West Coast, G Funk era artists, largely because of San Andreas. But as time passed I discovered more East Coast artists that were better or equally as good: Nas Kool G Rap Rakim Guru KRS One Big Daddy Kane Black Thought AZ Fat Joe Wu Tang CL Smooth ATCQ Masta Ace Lords Of The Underground Mobb Deep and a few more (all in the 90s of course, some of them are complete shit now *coughmobbdeepfatjoecough* And also Geto Boys, particularly Scarface from the South.

I believe the textures for everything will definitely be better than GTA IVs, which is fantastic. However, realistically there is no way the game will look like Uncharted 3 or anything with superior graphics. They will still look good though, I imagine.

What are you looking for in GTA5?
Rayge replied to Qdeathstar's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Wei Shen? He's not even a character in GTA. That would make 0 sense, and will never happen. -
I've recently made some pandaren on my trial account (real one is not active atm), and they seem pretty cool. One thing to note though, at level 20: shamans suck.

Terrible idea, I'm sure you don't need any explaining.

Should they try to improve the melee combat system?
Rayge replied to D1J2D3's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
I liked how in Sleeping Dogs you could grab people and use certain environmental features to execute them if you were close enough. They didn't include much kung fu style shit, so it would fit well in GTA. Smashing people into walls, glass ceramic, payphones, car doors... All that stuff. Also as has been mentioned countless times before, bricks (that actually do damage, unlike in IV), metal rods and stuff you could find lying around should be included as temporary weapons, e.g hit with them 5-10 times and then they become useless.- 138 replies

Melee in GTA IV was complete shit. You would often miss punches (especially when the fucker is lying on the ground), it didn't flow at all and it was just... Bad.- 138 replies
