Buy the 25k 2 car garage, then just do missions with other crew members until you have around 230k for one of the best apartments. I've just been doing a few today, and I've currently got $140k and I'm level 7. Although about 60k of that was from my character that got deleted.

Am I correct in saying he cheapest 6 car house is $128k?

I think the money limit is some 32 bit value like 2.3 billion, or maybe they patched it I missed the real opportunity which was to invest in redwood after Debonaire, which is pretty annoying. I guess I'll try to be a billionaire on each character on my 2nd round of the game.

Yeah, however I did it to another car (Rangerover) and when I parked it in my garage it changed back to the default numberplate, which was strange.

I'm having trouble with the Vapid assassination mission. He says to invest afterwards, but when I do the price doesn't change at all, even after I sleep. What's up with that?

NEVER walk out of a store you just robbed with your back turned. I did that the first time, and the clerk ended up gunning me down with his shotgun. However now I'm always prepared to shoot back if they try something stupid. Also a very effective way to kill other players as they try to mow you down with their vehicles is by using a shotgun (which is free from Ammunation by the way). Just aim at the windshield and you'll probably hit them.
