    If V is anything like Far Cry 3 (which we all know it's above and beyond), I know my missus will be glued to the TV while I play it... for the first few hours, anyways...

    I'm going to derail a lot of people's first game experience plans by pointing out that character switching isn't available at the beginning of the game. It will most likely be that the characters will switch automatically at first as you progress through missions, or you will "unlock" the characters as you progress, starting as Michael, then obtaining Franklin and Trevor...

    Anyone else reckon that the music at the start of the Gameplay vid sounds a lot like the music from Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? Also, do you think that music is an indication of what the game's theme music will sound like?

    I'm curious about the house... Will you be able to own a house in multiplayer, or is that just an elaborate game lobby?

    I noticed in the gameplay vid that Trevor pops out of a trailer (caravan) to go hunting. Then I noticed later on that the trailer appears as a safehouse on the mini-map... Do you think that Trevor's trailer will work as a portable safehouse? Will you be able to tow it around the map and just save where ever it's parked? I turned to my girlfriend and asked her what she thought. She said "Who cares?"

    When I saw this in the vid, I started stressing. I'm hoping it's cosmetic (like a little animation that plays when you switch to Franklin occasionally) rather than being a functional shop. As we learnt last month, the Australian Board of Classification has a real problem with drug-use (if it's interactive or rewards the player at all), and if we're huffing medicinal marijuana to increase health or stamina or anything REMOTELY like that, us Aussies are not going to get the game... There was only a handful of other things that I thought they may take issue with, and that was animal cruelty (but they seemed fine with RDR and Farcry 3), nudity/sexual content (again, they were fine with TLAD, TBOGT, Blood Dragon, Max Payne 3 ect.) and Trevor's gas can (but setting people on fire is in most sandbox games, even animals), so we SHOULD be okay as long as Trevor doesn't get a turbo boost from smoking a crack pipe or something...

    It's 12am for Sydney folks. It's currently 8:37pm in Sydney and 6:37am in New York. (Not that this will ever be read live) So just add 12 hours to US time 10am = 12am

    I was looking over the old GTAIV archives, studying Rockstar's marketing strategy (as most people do on their only day off), IV was released on the 28th of April. At this point (70 days from release) there was still no information on IV's multiplayer and the gaming press still hadn't had a hands-on demo of the game. If the prior release of info is anything to go by, we could have more previews (maybe the gameplay footage) anywhere between July 17 - 23. Perhaps also a whole bunch of new screens during that period too (most likely). We may also have the GTAV website updated with more info this period as well. GTA IV's multiplayer info was released 5 weeks before the game launched, so we could get multiplayer details around August 3rd - 10th. Finally, it's highly likely that we could get another trailer on August 17th (or there abouts). Now, this may all sound like wild speculation, but there have been some striking similarities in the current marketing campaign comparable to IV, for example: several weeks with zero information from Rockstar, right up to the 80 days 'till release point. "Unfortunately, aside from a few teaser trailers and screenshots, the GTA IV scene fell into a disappointing lull. Grand Theft Auto fansites struggled to fill the silence with whatever we could muster."

    Plus the map wasn't nearly as big, wasn't nearly as pretty looking, and the plot was SUPER cliche. Other than that, it was actually really fun! It was everything that GTA IV wasn't, and everything that Saints Row should have been. Take from that what you will...

    I can't realistically see them adding more cities as DLC. The closest thing I've seen to a game doing that is the extra island in Sleeping Dogs, which wasn't exactly huge. Now if Rockstar was to add another city in the size of LS, that would take YEARS to develop. My major assumption on GTA DLC (judging from trends in other Rockstar game DLC) is that we'll get a whole bunch of game enhancing add-ons. You know, the kind of stuff that won't greatly affect the overall gameplay, but are fun to get your hands on. We already know from the Pre-Order packs that there'll definitely be extra outfits, tattoos, vehicles, weapons and properties as DLC, which will most likely be bundled together in packs. We'll also most likely get this kind of downloadable content in our multiplayer mode as well (think RDR, Max Payne 3), along with extra game modes. If we're lucky, we may get one or two mission packs (depending on the success of the game) which will add new interiors and goodies to the game, but keep in mind that these take several months to develop (TLAD and TBOGT took just under a year each, as did Undead Nightmare and LA Noire's extra cases were pre-developed). Now this is a conservative prediction, Rockstar may throw us a curveball, but I'm just following trends here.

    In response to some of these year old posts: There is plenty of cereal brands in GTA already: Cok-o-pops, RAILS, Senorios, Dragon Rings, Crispy Flakes and Popping Cherries. While there is no official "Microsoft" brand in GTA, it's Operating Systems exist: TOS (The Technical Operating System (DOS) and Windchime. It is implied that "TOS" is the GTA equivalent of "PC" while "Fruit" is "Apple" (Duh).
