  1. You can access the menu from a ledger on the main floor in your homestead, as well as any store (not the trader caravans). You'll see three options: the stockpile of inventory (with what you've collected plus what raw materials you've unlocked for purchase thru homestead missions), the crafting menu (where you access the recipes you found in chests) and finally a caravan dispatch. You have to have specific people and ingredients unlocked before you can craft certain items.
  2. BlackSox the black sheep. Fuck the establishment.
  3. One thing I find a bit clunky is having to pick caravan items one by one. If I'm gonna sell beaver pelts, I'd like to just sell my whole inventory in one go. The big money is on items you have crafted from recipes, whereas most raw materials go for much less. Ship masts and barrels fetch a high price too, from what I've unlocked so far.
  4. I made bread today. *waits for inevitable jokes involving buns*
  5. Brucie might work out more in IV but he's a bitch all the time.
  6. I could see Bernie/Florian the gay cousin having a cameo. Or there could be a desert biker gang that Trevor has contact with, and Johnny makes a cameo that way.
  7. LOL - obviously it will release sometime in spring, but three months is a big window of time. I'm just saying that I won't be surprised if there is a delay after we are given a specific date.
  8. Agreed, it's unprofessional to announce things before they are ready. But unforeseen shit happens. Hurricane Sandy is a perfect example.
  9. Relax. We don't even have an official release date yet, and I won't be surprised if there's a delay regardless, if past releases are any indication. Personally, I don't mind waiting, I'd rather it meets R*'s standards for release...by comparison to Assassin's Creed III, which I find to be full of unacceptable mistakes and has an unpolished, rushed-for-release feel to it (even though I'm enjoying it).
  10. Doubt there will be laundry ability. Just clothes change. Laundromat minigame? Clothes in GTA IV would look bloody and dirty depending on how much damage you took in your last battle, then show up as clean after a save. I doubt Trevor has any clean clothes, or gives a flying fuck about laundry.
  11. Yeah, I thought it was a Mr. Whoopee at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it's a taco truck. I love the heart-stopping moment when the jeep falls out of the plane, and then Trevor leaps out of the jeep...
  12. I've had no trouble getting long killstreaks going, with a beautiful variety of different kills, the french axe has some grisly finishing moves. Counter then triangle is throw, counter then x is disarm, counter then square is kill, then square again on your next target starts the killstreak. I only use throw to toss them off the edge of cliffs/boats/roofs or into a firing squad. Sounds like you're stuck in a loop of doing ground kills, and that does get old. In general, I'm a bit surprised at the derpy, bad glitches that pop up from time to time. I wonder if those could/will get cleaned up in an update once DLC starts rolling out.
  13. Massacre, btw, has anyone looked into the spoiler tag issue I mentioned? I may just have to avoid previewing this thread for a while.
  14. Using a "Google view" as referenced in the article, it's a plausible and fun fan design. It may seem a bit slow, but I thought it did a smooth transition visually between POVs. I like the idea of getting a moment to see what situation the new character is in before taking control of him, it gives you a chance to orient yourself and change gears.
  15. The "Ocean's Three" will certainly have to recruit additional crew for some of the heist missions. Maybe he's an expendable 'red shirt' dude that gets shot during this particular robbery, since he doesn't look like Trevor at all.
  16. Well, anyone can copypasta into Google Translate, but for those of you who like to read proper English, here's a proper translation: "If Game Informer was the only American magazine that was able to get up close and personal with GTA 5, unveiling the first details about the Rockstar Games title, in France, it is JEUXACTU who got an exclusive first look. Indeed, less than 3 weeks ago, a few days before the arrival of Hurricane Sandy, we were in New York to attend the first demo of GTA 5. An almost hour-long demo of the game was revealed in a preview, in addition to an exclusive interview and a video report. It will all be posted throughout the day on Monday, November 12, 2012, so that you can know everything about what awaits you in spring 2013, the release date for the highly anticipated GTA V. Stay connected to JEUXACTU!"
  17. When I go to View New Content and preview posts, spoiler tags don't work, and the text contained within the spoiler tags is visible. I just inadvertently read Vicey's posts about ACIII...ack...but the spoiler tags work once I open the topic itself.
  18. Can't say which will be my fav until I meet them. One thing the article said about Trevor is that people will react to him with more hostility...dunno if that will impede certain tasks or not (not that I mind a police chase for playing with gas cans). Michael's house should be awesome. Franklin will have the best cars...I think it just extends the overall gameplay for the better.
  19. Hey shivkat, some of us use the forum's dark skin (button at bottom left, Change Theme, I highly recommend it)...black font FTL.
  20. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/10/arts/video-games/q-and-a-rockstars-dan-houser-on-grand-theft-auto-v.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 Link to the full interview. Dan Houser is a genius.
  21. Me neither... ...hopefully there'll be time this weekend. Also, Skyfall on the big screen.
  22. You get a warning if you kill civilians or domestic animals.
