There's at least 3 possible endings. I completed early, just to see what they were. That dictates which you get. I think I got all the new clothes in the game, as well as the weapons. The "signature" weapon that I got the achievement for is most awesome, use it all the time now. @Bones....it's got to be your PS3. I had no glitchy problems with this DLC, other than those problems I created for myself. Like I said I rushed in to a "new" location that appears after a certain event occurs, then the outcome pissed me off. I had to delete all the end files and go back to when I did not rush in to that area near the abandoned gas station. (Where I camped) Then all was manageable again, and the place wasn't crawling with Deathclaws. I forgot that I'm at Level 50 so all the bad guys are REALLY bad guys. Now that I know about it, I will go there after I try the other 2 endings of the DLC. But - no lagginess or lock ups on this DLC, I was surprised how smoothly it ran.
-
Yep that was early on. I had to get the goodies overhead before the music would roll. If you think the Marked Men are hard, wait until you meet the Tunneler Queen, or the Irradiated Deathclaws. The Irradiated Deathclaws are literally 2 hit kills on my character who is maxed out on skills. Thank goodness for auto-inject stimpacks. Even as cool as the new weapons are, they are not good enough. I may have to return home to get my hardcore weapons. (Alien Blaster)

I played it for 12 hours straight yesterday on my day off. Downloaded fast, straight away in the morning. Runs smoothly, and I like the rugged terrain, as well as some of the other new sights and sounds. I will also say there is a MAJOR glitch, that I found, since I always go the opposite ways the game wants you to go. Let's just say keep moving forward. There is a new location back at the beginning, once you get so far. Don't let temptation get the best of you - follow the stupid main story line first. Otherwise you'll glitch up. I deleted all my saves at the game end, just to fix that. Went back, to a good save, and am back on course. For me, Honest Hearts and Old World Blues were the best DLC's. I'm just disappointed in this one.
-
I think they cut Ulysses out of the game so they could have an epic ending. Or rather save some really good stuff for last, as well as answers we've been waiting for. "This is too good, cut it, use it for the last DLC".....

It's not a rare weapon at all. All of the Black Rangers have them. ------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a boring tip once you have the fully modded water sink from OWB, for filling up empty bottles.... Almost unlimited Purified Water, more than you'll ever need if you've come close to finishing the game. Remember those entries I made on the Fallout Wiki about the Sunset Sasparilla Empties in the factory, that the Wiki moderators kept editing? Well it's a fact there are over 750 empties in the warehouse crates alone, I flat out do not care what they said, or how they edited my findings. I counted them and separated them in one dumpster outside. Another 200 scattered around the factory, floor, offices, and grounds. Take all those to the Big MT. Have the water basin do her magic, and right there is almost 1,000 bottles of purified water. Boring tips for the wasties. Drink up. It was posted on the old forum. The best work of its kind to date so far, IMHO. People can insult it if they want, but until they can do better.......best Fallout Fan Film yet. Holy Quacamole, that is totally cool. Thanks DuPz!

Exactly. Next time, if it works with a weight triggered explosive, I'll go with it. Otherwise I'll be happy with 5 gold bars. I already have over 250,000 caps and nothing really to use them with, having all the good weapons and mods. As for these pistols, I still like the Ranger Sequoia, Lucky, and the Mysterious Magnum. Don't like Maria. Have all the rare ones, 45,9mm, and 10mm with mods, as well as my original Weathered 10mm from pre-order.
-
Not for me, I think mainly because you need a weight triggered explosive. Yes, you have to kill Elijah after his dialog. But in the video, he uses a pressure activated device - the powder charge. I remember telling you guys about it, everyone said it was a waste of time, which I agreed with in the end. Also that was when Massacre told me not to take much stuff in to the vault as weight is important. See I never took stuff into Dead Money, but to get as many bars out, you need low weight. I had quite a few saves trying to figure out what I did wrong. I always ended up on the other side of the force field with Elijah always alive. You can't detonate behind a force field, so at least one of the explosives must be weight triggered. You're on the other side now, and the detonator won't work, and Elijah is where you were, and just staring at you. I guess that, or he runs around the pile that I made. In any case, I failed like 5 times. Final conclusion was I never had a land mine, or powder charge, just C4 and Gas Bombs. Maybe next time (final after Lonesome Road) I'll try it again, saving any weight triggered explosives I find. I haven't done Dead Money on this 2nd game, because I never heard if ED-DE got fixed. Just rumors that it is fixed from the Honest Hearts patch. But yeah I tried this the first time I did Dead Money, right after Massacre did it.

Not new. Tried it already back when it was first posted.

RAGE is first and foremost, a first person shooter by Id Software, pioneers of the genre, with such legendary game titles as Wolfenstein, DOOM, and Quake. FPS games are just that, your hands are at a weapon. They're not like the 3rd person view in GTA or Fallout. News: Bethesda bought out Id Software outright, so they have rights to this game, and you can tell by the subtle Fallout changes made to RAGE. I started this topic on the old forum. Here, we can discuss it further. http://rage.com/ With an arsenal of weaponry at your disposal, take charge of the wastelands. Modify vehicles, use engineering schematics to make sentry bots, turrets, etc. There are 6 of these 'Behind the Scenes' vids to check out, here is the first: You can't go wrong with the DOOM Shotgun guys, and the Fallout Level Lords. Who wants some? This thread is for game play, and help in the game. Tips, tricks, strategies, and answers to all questions. Now that the game is out & I've completed it once, I'm going through it again so ask for any help you need. 100% completion FAQ and List is on the way......

Reading is your friend. So actually READ the timeline, it's amazing. Now your punishment : Begin Again - Vera Keyes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgZ3sryr87I&feature=player_embedded

This is a good read: http://fallout.wikia...allout_Timeline So many details that I didn't know from earlier games. The only thing that I thought was missing and should've been mentioned was that Mr.House shot down the nukes, preventing Vegas from being destroyed. Other than that - awesome.

I just went to Hoover Dam Armory and he had nothing, same for Hidden Valley. However the female quartermaster is always loaded with stuff somehow. When going to the "other" Hidden Valley bunkers don't forget to grab the mini-nukes. For me the knives are by far the best for accuracy, over the sloppy spears. Still the best is the Tomahawks the way the grab the whole face. Now I've broken my own game record and accumulated 205,368 bottle caps. Plus there's all this in my safe when I want to start gambling. $100 NCR (26) $20 NCR (58) $5 NCR (138) Legion Aureus (9) Legion Denarius (2312) Pre-War Money (797) Still need to learn Caravan.
-
I exhausted Mick's stash of throwing knives and throwing hatchets early on. (Note to bOnEs, speech check for special inventory, maybe that's why you don't see them.) Have also found a few from Chet in Goodsprings, and Blake at Crimson Caravan Company. Same with the throwing hatchets, which are even more rare, but still found in those 3 places. Also I bought a whopping 4 throwing hatchets at a time from the Great Khan Armory, when they were in business. One of the final missions, I think saving Kimball, makes them stop the sales dialog. Then the dialog "Why would anyone save that bastard" takes over. That's why I think it was that mission. Otherwise, the Great Khan Armory was fantastic to buy from. You might also try the Hoover Dam Armory, at one point they had over 100 of the 40mm grenades. Plus a lot of other ammo and weapons, but at that point I wasn't looking for thrown weapons so I didn't check. Maybe I'll go back to Hoover today and talk to that quartermaster dude, and the quartermaster lady at the BoS Hidden Valley trading post. Mostly I rely on the large amount of spears dropped by dead Legionaries, and tomahawks from the White Legs. At peak, I had like 15 throwing knives and 20 or so throwing hatchets.
-
Poisons in the game are highly under rated IMHO. Plus you build up the thrown weapon skills & perks. Combining sneak with Mother Darkness, Silver Sting, or Tremble, is usually 1 shot kill on anything. Maybe that's just for my character at max sneak. There's nothing like a poison Tomahawk to the face.
-
There's a ton of those in OWB. Veronica gets upgraded when you tell her about Elijah. You can go one of two ways, I went for her upgrade.
-
Yah those Pinyon Nuts are hard to find. There are little piles of them behind X8 in OWB. Don't know why, but I've always had the same 3 Vipers by the train tunnel campfire by Harper's Shack. Strange how the game can be different for people. My last game I had low barter, but both the barter cap and the barter jacket. This game, max barter but somehow I have 8 of the roving trader caps. That is the only hat I have more than one of unless it's armor. I keep tons of the Gecko-backed because it repairs the various Power Armors. Still no roving trader jacket! I think my next character will have the Wild West just like this one. It's just too cool and valuable. Also doing the Hardcore game is looking much better than a Legion one. Thing is, still the saving structure. I want to have room for Lonesome Road on my current game. If I start a Hardcore game today, when LR comes out, those saves will be on top. When you love the game so much, it's hard to resist playing. I really want to try Hardcore. I've even planned out the starting in Goodsprings already. Which do you recommend? Hardcore game, with any ending - or Legion character, with only the Legion ending -
-
I need locations mang! For spawning Legion Assassins as well as good crafting. What is charlie's outpost? I went to Harper's Shack, and it IS better than Lucky 38 because it has a campfire. It is not that great because due to the Vipers that always spawn by the train tunnel, you will frequently have red blips on your HUD. Can't craft, sleep, or fast travel until you waste them. Across the tracks is the Legion - NCR areas leading to Broc Flower Cave if that's what you mean - -oh wait. Charlie Company. Yep that place on the tracks that they raided early on, is another trigger point but that whole area is Legion turf. The Deathclaws will re-spawn, but there's also the Golden Geckos. I finally figured out how to maneuver around Harper's thru the hills going up to it only as recently as last month. But yeah bOnEs, good find. If it wasn't for the location, I would move there immediately. Right now I'm at both, the Sniper's Nest and the Novac Hotel...then there's Lucky 38. How can anyone ever be over-stocked on rare items for crafting, I don't know. Pinto Bean Pods were quoted as rarest plant in the game for example. I burn thru that stuff. Even though I have 90 or so of those, there's always missing ingredients everywhere. Seems I'm always missing one thing, then when I get a quantity, I can make like 35 of whatever. Thanks to Honest Hearts, 200 stimpacks more. Thanks to Old World Blues, I have over 100 Weapon Repair Kits. They sell great too. But about collecting, I don't collect Legion and Raider stuff, that is strictly for sale as I have saved all the best Legion stuff already, and the big one is quite obvious: I am obsessed with money. Back up to $140K now. I understand what you mean, and I will admit I am easily entertained and keep playing the same old game just like I did with Fallout 3. Still it keeps me out of jail. I looted every house in Nipton a long time ago. Found that place is best for the creepy Legion soundtrack music. Disarmed all those traps and stuff. I loved the house with the radscorps cage. Like the one hotel room in Del Rey, full of radscorps. I have to find where your Legion ho lives so I can stealth-rape her les-scissors style. Think I know where that one closest to Mojave Drive-in is.... Did you find the Radscorp Cave yet? Would love to live there. Speaking of OWB, did you go Wild West this game? I saw so many Wild West things in OWB that I lost count. The best one was Stripe, the tiny Deathclaw living in Gabe's house in Higgs Village. That thing was easily as bad or badder than the Legendary Deathclaw, but half the size. He was made up to look like the evil gremlin "Stripe" in that old movie Gremlins. One last note about living places, I don't think the corn house is Wild West only. It is the house way north by the Northern Passage with an obvious bootleg corn whiskey distillery inside. Nothing but 30+ Maize plants inside, a bed, safe, storage, kitchen oven, fridge, work bench, re-loading bench....but no campfire. It is enter-able by picking either door lock, both of which are marked red, losing karma. Place is a great safe haven though, I stayed there many times. Hey if Delilah is Legion, she's not affected by the Legion Assassins, but are there NCR Assassin Squads in the game as well? I know when I play my 3rd game as Legion, I will finally get to kill that bitch lady commander at Hoover Dam. Plus loot all the NCR camps, which have plenty of the different Nuka Cola variants. I'll also have to play a 4th file for Hardcore mode, which I will then be asking you all about. Now that I have the crafting experience I think I could stay alive more than one day after leaving Doc's place.

Great points, and thanks for the tip on Harper's Shack. Discuss the [Arizona] Legion theory...eastern half of the map re-spawns... Why did I never see them for 95% of my game? This, only my second file, I was cool with the Legion for most of the game. And I mean they would never attack, mainly because: I accepted the Vulpes mission when I first went to Nipton. Then after I spread the word, they were totally cool all the way up until meeting Caesar. I went out of my way to keep Boone at home, and not traveling with me. Even after Bitter Springs, they were cool. Then when you kill Benny, you have to go and meet Caesar. This file, after meeting him, I used a stealth boy to get the Legion Slave Ledger for Papa Khan, and then did not kill the robots, but upgrade them. Of course Caesar doesn't know this. I passed on his missions, and we agreed I would return later. Then you go straight to the 188 Trading Post, to meet the Legion dressed undercover as a wasteland dude. Unfortunately for me, the vendors shot him. I re-loaded game, still he never returned. That dude would've given me the Legion money to gather up the coin stashed in the box over by the Sniper's Nest above Cottonwood. But, the guy got killed and never re-spawned. --Still not Vilified-- So, I do everything else in the game, still in good standings with the Legion. Then when I'm at the end of the game, I killed Caesar and everyone in his camp. Still not Vilified! They never attacked, ever. By now there is nothing to do so I started scoping them out. Go to the Legion Raid Camp, kill those dudes, go north to where the 3 are sleeping, go over by the Broc Flower Cave, where the skirmishes between Legion and NCR occur, etc etc. So that goes on while waiting in between Fiend re-spawns at Vault 3 and the many surrounding Fiend areas. Then I would also notice I could go back to the Fort, and kill 3 guards. So I guess at that point my Legion rep was pretty low, then the patch came out for Old World Blues. ---The Patch was the turning point---- After that patch, I've noted every location that the official Legion Hit Squads spawn. They all seem eastern half of the map, or, the Arizona side. From the north, to the south. If you are on the center border, you may be cool but don't be caught off guard. Lots of good loot to be had. I make a lot of poisons and their spears I count on. Anyway, some of the singular locations are, just south west of Raul's Shack, over by the train station by the Repconn HQ, just west of Old Lady Gibson's - and that is dangerously close to Novac. Also just west of Novac, at the entrance to Nelson, and they WILL kill the ranger and troops, so when I found that one out, I re-loaded, and started the fight more towards Clark Field. I look at this like GTA San Andreas. I will bring the fight to them, every time. I go out LOOKING for the hit squads, stalking them waiting for them. Know my weapon inventory real well, and know the hit squads real well. If you have the jury rigging perk, it can be handy. There's a bunch of other locations I will have to have the game on and look at the map. The hairiest by far is the double triple attack zone which I experienced on my first file. The Mojave Outpost. Leave there, go down the hill and head towards Nipton. There should be the first one. If you stay in the area, there will be a second. They will take out any traders or Vipers along the way. Also watch the scorpions because they will get you not them. On a really good (for me) but bad for most day, you can get a triple attack going from hanging around the area around Mojave Outpost. The only other time I saw an immediate secondary location like that, was out there by the Vault south west of Raul. I think it is mainly the right hand side of the map, the eastern side. Mojave is about as west as you can get, so I think because of Nipton.... Other than Mojave Outpost, none of the other attacks are left of center map. Reading about you guys continually making new couriers, I think some day I will have another (third) game. That will be the one, where I go Legion, and take those achievements.

I had over $170,000 before Old World Blues. Then got down to around $30,000 Since then, cleaning out Fiends and Legion squads, winnings from The Thorn, back up to $120,000 as of today.

Why wouldn't he be a new build for them? Joshua sure was. I don't think you have to worry at all about how he looks, as opposed to how he acts. Be prepared for the meanest motherfucker of the wastes to tax your character out. I know that I am pre-loading all ammo and food stock. This guy is going to try and kill what is left of me after making my way through the dangerous and health-draining lonesome road of the big divide. Note: After the last patch and fixes, I am at 1.0 unit of weight when she's unloaded nyked. That will be so useful when attempting the new record of gold bars back from Sierra Madre.... .

that's the bestest most awesomest news since old world blues. thank you warlord of the wastes.

About Big MT. bOnEs - Go to the Think Tank and engage in conversation with Dala. She says: the Lobotomite Teddy Bear returns...my Teddy Bear. How can I satisfy your curiosity? Select to ask about "Can you tell me about Big Empty.... uh, Big Mountain?" The mountain...now crater...encompasses <skip> ...so many before you. Next select, "This used to be a mountain?" Yes, Big MT was quite big indeed until the Great Static. Then the top of the mt was used in a detonation experiment. This cleared additional space in the Crater, however allowing us more real estate to build upon. Convenient, efficient. I was just visiting and recycling stuff when I decided to talk to her again. This is just one of the many pointers to what happened to the mountain.

L0L so wrong. I just did the ending of Hoover Dam again, who could of knew that 100% speech swayed the Legate. I don't remember that option(s) on my previous game. Anyway it works. Very mellow. No fighting. Happy times. Oh I was ready to kick his ass all right...but speeched him. Credits rolled in my favor, very cool.

yep gotta make ya up some battle brew. i haven't drank mine, don't really like addictions. last time i drank vodka - instant addiction so i reloaded. i've eaten the occasional coyote tobaccy now and again but so far, no addictions. you simply must go into the med facility and holding cells to listen to christine's holotapes. they paint a picture of being saved by you know who. remember at that point, she only had the brain operation, not the vocals. about the FIDO, it was so effective against the roboscrotums that i went with it. still have the regular and modified K9000. i think the doggie noises are hilarious, plus the wiggly ears. also the obsession with teddy bears with Dala. she was something else. KLEIN: I can hear your penis feet trodding around here..... by HDTV i am guessing you are using the HDMI cable for true 1080i HD res. that is something i didn't consider, i was more focusing on my digital camera settings. there are so many, most of which i thought i should lose the flash function. normal light. thanks for the heads up on your successful method. by the way, they do look good. however delilah is such a porn ho name L0L. like under age pornstar delilah loadz. my stone cold girl's name is boring old 'synch', and the doc told me upon game start... huh, well not something i would name you but if thats your name then thats your name. and yeah massacre you could screen shot your psychotic characters for us now and again.

Covering your 3 points... I've heard of that bug. Seems related to Repconn quests. The way I dealt with my brain was in the name of SCIENCE. L0L. I avoided any personal dialog that seemed to piss it off. The endless dialog loop, it's similar to other bugs of same nature. About saving exploration, don't forget to go back and open up all those blue force fields with the upgraded sonic emitter that you couldn't early in the game. Some are just little trophy cases but there seems to always be good stuff behind them. Also when you upgrade your special weapon to FIDO, it seems to go from .357 rounds to .44 rounds, which are more rare in FNV. I've had to use the special .44 reloading recipe from North Las Vegas guy to keep making more. The problem now is some of the ingredients, like the large pistol primer boxes, but I got enough lead. (Which does add weight to your inventory) I did all the X-13 rooms because I had a feeling there was cool stuff down there. Also did all the testing not just for the rewards and optionals, but again, good stuff to be had. The more XP that I could gain against the Nightstalkers the better. For some reason, they really use to take a bite out of me in OWB. Strange, but I guess it's Level-related. The better you are, the harder the opponents. Speaking of which....The Legendary Bloatfly... My stealth is maxed, and I only used the modified sniper on it. It never shot me once. The green glow ID's it immediately when you VATS it, so I just kept the silenced shots while in crouch mode, and it never said danger once, just hidden. Hell of an explosion when he went down. Lots of good loot, like all the other giants, dating back to the Super Mutant Behemoths. When it came to the X4 Giant, I let the turrets and targets do most of the work, but again in stealth mode, when I saw it so weak, I just finished it off with the Proton Throwing Axes and the FIDO. So by the time I got to the fail safe shutdown terminal, it was no longer active, just information. I'd like to do that battle over again, and have a save right outside the Sink before fast traveling to the Forbidden Zone. I still can't believe how cool Mobius was, and when you fix his vision, he is totally in your debt. Same with the Think Tankers, they are so thankful and all that mushy crap. Have you found all of Christine's stuff? I got the special armor and sniper, the memoirs on holotape. When I got back to the Mojave, I employed Boone and ED-E again. I'm just running all over the Mojave looking for Legion hit squads or Fiends. Going across the desert I ran across something I never saw before. It's the Radscorpion Tunnel, west of Nipton, near the crashed plane, and where the winner of the Legion Lottery, that Powder Ganger with the glasses is always running around. In the tunnel, again with max stealth, I killed the SECOND Radscorpion Queen. You remember the first, from the Searchlight mission, it's in the Firehouse. So, I guess the moral of the story is there is always more in Fallout. Last point, I've wondered what the heck you were always doing with those screen shots. I used to use PC and made hundreds from print screen then to Photoshop. Upload to Photobucket. But with PS3 and XB360, there's no simple utility, so I guessed you were always using a digital camera or a cell phone camera. I'd like the details, because even for a taboo like photographing a monitor, yours come out relatively okay. I mean, no flash reflection, etc. So if you could tell me the details, I may start doing the same with my digital camera. What mode works best for you, any special setting, etc.
