http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/06/03/welcome-back/ go get your free games!
-
The store is up now. I'm able to browse and download stuff but I keep getting an "An error has occurred" message, which gets kind of annoying but it doesn't seem to do anything.
-
I guess the only games I don't have are Super Stardust HD and Dead Nation, so I'll be getting those. and it looks like this is a good excuse to fire up my old PSP that just collects dust lol
-
Fucking A, the network is down again due to high traffic. I was able to play last night for about an hour before I got too sleepy (since it was like 3AM) and now I get home and it's down again. http://reflexorbit.com/2011/05/15/sony-gives-update-on-why-psn-has-gone-down-again/ [EDIT] it's back on now.
-
Shit, everything else but the Midwest is up now. =/ [EDIT] the whole map is green now I'll pop off maybe an hour and then play when I get home tomorrow afternoon some more
-
South East seems to be up now. I hope that doesn't mean the Midwest is last. I guess I won't be able to play until I get home tomorrow =/
-
Looks like California and the NE are lit up and posts confirm the network is alive. I hope I'm not last since I live in the Midwest =/ ... or I guess technically I should feel luckier than the rest of the world, still.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/05/14/play-on-%E2%80%93-psn-restoration-begins-now/ Yeah, apparently they will be lighting up the map and it says it will take "several hours"

Didn't they do the same type of trailer last time? If that's the case, I'm pretty sure we're about to see a few 'analysis' videos pretty soon. I find it kind of funny I was just looking at this page: http://gamersheep.com/2011/05/first-mw3-gameplay-screenshot-looks-like-more-of-the-same/ right before I came into this topic. I can't believe people are still getting excited about this game, especially since it comes out every year now. Don't get me wrong, this game is pretty fun for a little while, but I always end up selling my copy after a little while (ever since CoD4, actually). I'm not hyped up about it, but depending on what releases around the time this game comes out, I'll probably get it. But seeing as Resistance 3 and Battlefield 3 are coming out this year in the Fall, I will most likely skip out on this year's CoD. Who knows, show me some game play first and we'll see what I really think.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/05/10/psn-restoration-timeline-update/ "at least a few more days"
-
I've taken this downtime as an excuse to finally play those Single Player games I never got around to buying. Like Assassin's Creed II and Uncharted, lol. I finished AC2 (not 100%), and I haven't gotten Uncharted yet.
-
I was just about to post that. This is getting out of hand. It's really been too long by now. Everyone has their reasons why they want it online. I can't imagine how let down and how much everyone else must be raging.
-
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous how long it's been out and how tight lipped SONY has been, while at the same time updating almost everyday. It's been down for 18 days, just 3 more days and it's a whole 3 weeks. if anything I guess I just hope it's up by the weekend so I can play some when I have free time.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/05/06/service-restoration-update/ Basically: "we need more time, and we're not going to say how much"
-
I was hoping it would be back up by now ... we'll see. The last update they gave that said anything time-wise, they just said it would be back up "this week". oh well...
-
It's still not up. All I've seen is SONY say that they are still on track for it being up "this week". It feels like it's been forever. 14 days, that's like 2 weeks. Here's a site that is tracking the status of the PSN http://www.playstationjunkie.co.uk/psnstatus/

I never had it crash to my desktop. I played this game and I'm pretty happy with it. I would say that in a way it's worth the $40 I paid for it, but then again it was kind of short so I'm not sure how I feel about that. The game seems to be on sale for $30 so I probably should have waited a few days to get it. The characters were all pretty spot on and did great voice-work, and even after I played the game for a few hours I still got that tingly feeling from flying through and jumping from great heights. The puzzles aren't' that hard to figure out, most of them you can do really quick, and there's a few that you have to think about and try for a little bit. I think I only got stuck like once or twice but it was for sort of dumb reasons (in hindsight). I haven't played Co-op yet, I'm just waiting for the PSN to get back online and then me and a friend from school are going play that out.

Scarface Limited Edition Blu-Ray: $999.99
ENVi3 replied to a topic in Graphics, Media & Entertainment
It's actually selling for $699.99 and there is a normal (priced) Blu-Ray. -
I use MATLAB (since I'm studying to be an Engineer) and honestly I can't say I've ever heard of changing the font on the Command Window. I did a quick Google search and I didn't see anything, other than changing the font for the whole program, not for a specific string... it's probably not possible.
-
I should wait till we get that Google 1Gbps fiber network here in Kansas City before posting... but here is what I have now: shitty, but I can't really afford to pay for anything better.
-
There's rumors that the PSN is up in Japan, but no one can sign in yet... whatever that means. I hope that means their target date of getting it up by tomorrow is going to happen. This is Finals Week for me though. I probably shouldn't care about this for another few days. lol
-
well you can keep themes and anything you buy at the PS+ discounted price. Any game or add-on or whatever that you get for free, it's not really yours to keep. I don't know, it's better than nothing, I guess.
-
Projected up date is May 3. But there hasn't been any updates since yesterday. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/04/27/qa-1-for-playstation-network-and-qriocity-services/

I just ordered this for PC. The PSN is down and I saved like $20, so I figured getting it for PC was a pretty good choice. I'll let everyone know my thoughts next week when I finally get to play it.

It's kind of funny how there's two threads on this. The one in the Asylum is more up to date, but yeah I'm hoping this gets taken care of. I do feel kind of vulnerable knowing and hearing about people getting like anywhere between $200-600 charged to their cards... I'm assuming that that's priority for them right now. I doubt the PSN will be up soon...
