I had it preordered since February but cancelled it last week after one of the top brass said the singleplayer would take 6 hours to complete. Not good enough imo and certainly not worth £35. I might buy it when it hits like £20 or I might rent it some time, but I'm not buying it new.

Dubai isn't atmospheric. It's very clinical/stale imo. There isn't much diversity there either and it's such a new city that it has no history to play on. The only two things Dubai has got going for it are 1) nice cars and 2) tall buildings. But when everyone drives a nice car, all you're left with is tall buildings, which don't make a good GTA game. A riches to rags story would be bad too. Maybe from riches to rags to riches, sort of like Vice City in a way, but finishing the game on the bottom step doesn't make sense, nor would I find it enjoyable.

I think IPS hosts the chat, so if they go down you can't connect and we can't do anything about it. I may be completely wrong though.

So do the custom member titles unlock at 100 posts again or something? It's 75 atm, but we have ranks up to 2500 posts so that might go up in the future.

The dots are related to post count. The title under your avatar is also linked to post count. Rep is a different system with different titles.

Do you get FTP access with your hosting? If you do you can use a client like FileZilla to upload an entire folder in one click (drag and drop) and just leave it to work in the background. The built in file managers most hosts use are pathetic and useless for most sites.

I think the fourth could have worked. The one they used was the best out of those but I still don't think it looks quite right.

Thanks for reminding me, I had forgot that. But I did tweak the settings when I was validated, and I only get "Inline Notification". And I also had two other notification issues, I don't know if anyone can answer on them. They should all be fixable through the notifications setup in your settings.

I'd rather they just didn't bother at all.

We didn't have gold members on GTA-SA. When they were added we got new team icons. Someone did try to make a gold member badge by editing one of these but it didn't look that great.

Just seeing what they look like, and what people think. I love them.

I reckon they'll go into it the same level as IV, but they'll use feedback from RDR to make it more fun. I'd be happy with free mode, racing, and a couple of Deathmatch-style modes. Mafiya Work was my favourite from IV, but basic Deathmatch was kind of lame. RDR was similar. I bet the social club will be much more heavily involved in multiplayer this time around. As I said earlier the main key for me is to not make it such a grind to unlock everything in MP. Either that or have more stuff unlocked by default. And don't have any multiplayer-based achievements/trophies. They're just the worst.

I think a GTA game is still a GTA game regardless of what you tack onto the end of the title. They'll always sell millions. If you want to see GTA being milked though, wait until Take Two gives into EA or Activision.

Would be interesting to see if there does end up being a link. I mean GTA IV was originally supposed to be released in 2007, with work beginning right after SA released in October 2004, and I'm expecting to see GTA V in 2012. I'd be surprised if they had already started planning GTA V so far in advance. The time gap between III, VC and SA was much shorter so they could easily have had a basic plan down for that series. Would be kinda shit if it was set in France. There's nothing there except wine, bread, windfarms, striped jumpers and silly hats. I think though, if we get any subtle hints, we'll find them in L.A. Noire.
