The Amazing Spider-Man **SPOILERS**
Massacre replied to Ku Zi Mu's topic in Graphics, Media & Entertainment
That wasn't what I meant by taking comic book movies seriously. I meant they stopped treating them like gimmicks and letting hacks direct them and started treating them like they mattered. It was a disgrace how studios handled comic movies before Watchmen, Batman Begins, and Iron Man came along. Everything Raimi's done since Army of Darkess has been an abortion, he should be ashamed of himself and his career. Spider-Man 2 was a decent attempt, and the best of Raimi's trilogy. Also, the proud americanry of the part of the train scene where Spider-Man loses his mask and the passengers carry him and say they'll keep his identity a secret ruined the otherwise great scene. As a final note, if you found the alien invasion in The Avengers played out and cliched, you dont know shit about The Avengers. The invasion was needed to set up the Guardians of the Galaxy movie and Darkseid for Avengers 2. -
I don't have a problem with this. Online passes are how companies make their money from used games. Buy the game new, you've got an online pass, buy it used, you buy one on PSN or Live. I don't buy games with the intention of playing multiplayer, and I rarely buy pre-owned games. If I do buy a game pre-owned, I'm not doing it for the multiplayer. No he didn't.

The Amazing Spider-Man **SPOILERS**
Massacre replied to Ku Zi Mu's topic in Graphics, Media & Entertainment
People still think Spider-Man 2 was good? It was the best of a bad situation. Once Iron Man came out and they started taking comic book movies seriously, Spider-Man 2 looked just as shitty as the other two movies. It's not even top ten anymore, and the new Spider-Man never was. -
If they put anything south of Los Santos, they'd be taking a lot of liberties. They confirmed no Mexico, and that's pretty much all there is south of LA. All that's noteworthy, anyway.

The Amazing Spider-Man **SPOILERS**

My expectations could not be lower. -
It's been a definite purchase for me since I first heard about it, I'm just waiting for the PC release because I can't get online on my 360. Rest assured, I'll be putting every one of my plans to the test, as closely as the game will allow.

Review The Last Thing You Watched
Massacre replied to Psy's topic in Graphics, Media & Entertainment
But it's ruined by the fact that his character is just some guy with Asperger syndrome. Side note: Asperger syndrome isn't a real disorder. It's just something neckbeards use as an excuse for being weird and awkward. -
You're severely underestimating people.

Sony's made it pretty clear that developers are free to use DRM if they choose. Sony doesn't have any say in what third party developers do, and most people know that. The ones that don't aren't going to be able to make enough noise to cause any kind of backlash.

What vehicles would you like to see?
Massacre replied to BuickBoy's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Yes, they're real. They're screencaps from the trailers. -

You can see the SWAT through the windows, and the shape is behind him, so it's outside of the car. Bush or tree.

One thing I noticed in the ACIV demo was the massive amount of foliage to hide in when they hit the jungle, and I think those parts will be easier as long as they fix the character's refusal to hide. Another issue is crowds of people. Whenever I had to follow someone from ground level, I felt there weren't enough people to blend with, but when I had to chase someone at ground level, it seemed like everyone in the city turned up to stand in my way and make me unrealistically trip every ten feet. If they could balance that a bit better, things would be a lot easier in the city.

I don't like beer at all, but I would drink Dark Lord just to look cool.

That would be converted into a poster immediately.

Played ACIII a bit tonight to re-familiarize myself with the controls and whatnot. I forgot how shitty a lot of things are. Connor often refuses to hide in bushes at times when hiding in bushes is the only thing that can prevent him from being sodomized by a musket, he randomly turns and jumps from a three story building to the ground rather than onto the climbable tree branch I had him running in the direction of, and guards randomly attacked me when I had no notoriety and was not in a restricted area. Needless to say, I'm kind of leaning towards Watch_Dogs again. This back-and-forth is maddening.

My worst qualities are what makes me likeable. If I weren't such a terrible person, I'd just be a regular guy and no one would give a shit about me. I'm glad to pass on the worst I have to offer.
-
Pretty much, yeah.

I really like it when new members know what's coming. They fit in better when they expect the abuse, and we end up with a higher-quality member. On the other hand, I feel like I've done some good when we get a bitch, and they slowly come to understand how we operate and become a quality member. Makes me feel proud.

I'll see how Black Flag turns out before I decide whether or not I agree with you. They're probably going the way of CoD, putting a new skin on the same package every year, but if I play Black Flag and feel like they're still keeping things fresh, then I'll keep going back until I feel otherwise, or they use a time period or character that doesn't interest me.

Hey look, it's that guy.

Ironically, the reviewer from Polygon said the game autosaves too frequently, so you never feel like you're in danger. I think worrying about whether or not your progress is going to save pretty much balances that out. King Douche.

"Finally accurately named."

You've seen the game. The cities are overgrown with vibrant, green plant life. If the same happened to Cleveland, it would be the best the city's ever looked.

Money (and things to buy with it)
Massacre replied to Samurai_tbag's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
It's sad to know that there are people who genuinely have taste that bad and would buy things like that in the real world. In the game, however, I will gladly buy Franklin every tacky piece of shit I see, because stereotypes. Edit: Admittedly, the brief look of confusion on someone's face upon seeing a golden, diamond-encrusted grenade land at their feet would be priceless. Before it exploded, anyway.
