HOPSIN - The return of "REAL" Hip Hop?
Massacre replied to BuickBoy's topic in Graphics, Media & Entertainment
Didn't like the first one in the list - a little too energetic for my tastes, the beat's not very heavy, and I've never really liked Eminem-esque costume-changing comedic videos - but the other two were great. I guess I need to look into more unknown rappers. The Game is the only semi-mainstream rapper I like (I sort of like Lil Wayne, but only when he's in one of Game's songs), but even he bitches out and does at least one slow song on his albums. I like Eminem, but he's about as mainstream as you can get without doing commercials (oh wait, he did a tea commercial ). I have a very limited amount of new rap I can listen to, I mostly just listen to early-90's shit. -
Table Tennis, Midnight Club (all of them), and Beaterator. Possibly some others I can't think of at the moment.

Poll: How excited are you for GTA V?

I don't know about you, but I've got a feeling of impending failure, like I'm somehow not going to be happy with what I see when the trailer comes out. -

10 immediately after the announcement, 7 now, probably back up to 10 once I've seen the trailer. -
That sucks.
-
How does it work, exactly? Do you only have a short list of fonts to use, or can you use your own? Also, how heavy are the post-V trailer changes going to be? I might have a few decent fonts in my collection, depending on what the theme of the game ends up being.

Ditto. I don't know much about cars, honestly, but I know I don't want a car or motorcycle newer than '70. And really, for a motorcycle, pre-1950 would be ideal. I love shit from the 40's.

That doesn't mean that many have heard of it. The US and UK are undoubtedly the places where GTA is most well-known, and I'd say less than 25% of Americans or Brits have heard of it, even less for other countries. Barely any in China or Japan where the original Starcraft still reigns supreme. Keep in mind that most people are either old as shit or don't know the correct way to have a good time.

Even '84 would be too new for me, to be honest. It's nice, though.

At least that guy came up with something believable. Honestly, I think it would be a great premise. Maybe not for GTA, but for a new one-off R* game, kind of an amalgamation of GTA and a modern-day LA Noire. Hm, now that I think about it... Uh, pardon me, I think I need to go re-make a topic from the old forums...

World population = Nearly 7 billion people, US population = Less than 5% of the world's population.

What charcters do you want to see return?
Massacre replied to angeal18's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
I lol'd. -
Didn't even get past reading your link name before I started laughing. Not going to bother reading anything, but no, OnLive won't be getting any big-name title exclusively, ever. They'll bring back the fucking N-Gage before that shit happens.

What charcters do you want to see return?
Massacre replied to angeal18's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Granted, none of the pre-IV characters will be coming back, but this topic is who you want to see return, not who you actually think will return. -
Lol, I thought so, but it was so stupid I just had to be sure. I agree with most of that, except for two things: The map for GTA IV wasn't very big, and the airport was the only place on the map where you would've had enough room to take off or land in a plane. Now, if GTA V is set in a re-done San Andreas, or any other large area with multiple open spaces, then yeah, I'd like to have planes back, too. As for weapons licenses, you mean the weapon skill levels? It was nice to get bonuses from that (especially dual-wielding), but I also liked that GTA IV relied solely on my own skill and not how much practice I'd had with each gun, so I could take or leave the weapon skills. The schools were fun, but they were mostly tutorials for different tricks that most people figured out on their own. I wouldn't mind having them back, but I'd rather have something new.

Protagonist/Plot-Line Predictions?
Massacre replied to GTAfriekSA's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
I lol'd. Fingers crossed. Packie was my all-around favorite character from GTA IV, and that includes DLC badasses like Johnny K. -
Congrats on your mad coding skills and all that, but why is the font on the main page fucked now? Or was it like that before? Now I'm not so sure...

Protagonist/Plot-Line Predictions?
Massacre replied to GTAfriekSA's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Glad I remembered this topic, I really didn't feel like starting a new one. How likely do you guys think it is that Packie will be the main character? TBOGT's credits and the McReary name on that casting call make it a pretty safe bet that he'll be in the game in some form, but do you think he'll be the protagonist, or another supporting character? -

That's a pretty good first post. Welcome to the forums. -
Hopefully, otherwise I'm going to have to sulk for five minutes before coming around to the idea, all the while imagining how amazing Boston would have been.

It might just take place in a vagina, which means Jimmy Pegorino will be resurrected to do his "the world is a cunt" line again.

NO GTA 5, IV Era continues...(GTA Vice)
Massacre replied to Luis Zelaya's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
I kind of wish that guy had stuck around so we could laugh at him even more. -
Either San Andreas or IV, and that's based strictly on the tune, not the game itself or my emotional attachment to said game. If we're going with nostalgia, it's either Vice City or San Andreas.
