No, your battery pack would deliver DC and DC power is not that potent. 30-50 mA on the heart is fatal if we talk about AC power (120 V). For DC power, I don't know how much ampere you need in order to kill. *is googling* 300-500 mA DC power can cause cardiac arrest. So direct current is weaker? That seems odd, but ok. So i'd be better putting 100mA-500mA on the dial. What about the voltage for DC? I'm only asking this because I have no idea how a wireless Tesla alternative would work, unless Mass would like to explain. You'll want to use AC. Fuck Thomas Edison. Also, the easiest way to do a wireless version without copy/pasting one of Tesla's essays is an insulated sleeve worn under a pauldron, arm guards, and gauntlet with a few small coils (no more than an inch in length to keep them from getting in the way) running down the length of the arm. The battery pack (presumably worn either on the back or between the pauldron and the sleeve) would send a current through the coils, down the arm, into the pommel, through the handle (under the grip, of course) and into the coils and blade. An added bonus of this is that the gauntlet is a potent weapon in it's own right, so being disarmed doesn't mean you're unarmed.

Like I said here: I think the regular iGTA5 background with a brown version of gta4.tv's brick pattern and iGTA's layout would look great. But like I said, I don't know if Psy was planning on putting that much work into it.
-
Having an external pack makes for more arcs of electricity. It'll be pretty.

Niggas are gonna get sued.

Er, what I meant is that I am a fan of iGTA's layout, and if you plan on making extensive changes to iGTA5, then I would use that layout, with gta4.tv's brick wall theme and grey color scheme. Actually, now that I look at it more, I really like the iGTA5 background, but I still prefer gta4.tv's brick design in the center. I think replacing the blank grey part of the homepage with a brownstone design would look good.

If you do the "latest forum posts" thing, you might want to leave the Asylum out of it. Other than that, I'm a big fan of the regular iGTA layout, but I would remove the Latest Images section and use the Random Pic feature from gta4.tv. Also, the theme and color scheme from gta4.tv is the shit.

Looks good. If you ever decide to make a character to use it, slap some kind of awesome battery pack on him somewhere to use as an energy source. Since Nikola Tesla was the inspiration for this sword, don't use a cable to connect it to the energy source, just connect them with a bolt of energy. Tesla liked to operate with as few wires as possible, after all.

There are other weapons - sais - that works better for catching a blade. If you can catch a blade with this tool then you are Superman and you don't need a weapon. Fuck sais. If I'm in a sword fight and a motherfucker pulls out a pair of sais, I'm chucking my sword and using a warhammer simply for the sake of humiliating them. Besides, all a sai can do is catch a blade, there's not enough leverage to actually disarm your opponent unless he has a weak grip. It's just for looks. It looks better than a regular sword, and it wouldn't affect functionality. In fact, the wider, heavier blade would make for more powerful swings. Anyone who took a hit from that sword would take a slash from the blade, a shock from the coils (they are meant to be working coils, after all), and more than likely be knocked down by the weight of the blade. Though, I do agree about the pommel, and the girth of the handle could be larger (inadvertent penis joke).

I like it, it works well for a heroic character, and the previous versions work better for a grittier antihero character. Find a company working on a cyberpunk game and sell that shit. Also, I came up with an interesting idea for a game while I was dicking around with a zombie mod in New Vegas last night, so I've got a couple things if you ever need ideas for a game project with a supernatural theme.

It's functional. You get your blade caught in that, you're not getting it back out unless the guy you're fighting is too slow to take advantage and disarm you.

NO GTA 5, IV Era continues...(GTA Vice)

You wasted a lot of time and thought on something that took no time or thought to come up with. We're referring to it as "GTA V" because we don't know the actual title, yet. Yeah, no shit, it says "fake" in the title. They're also in the "Fan Art/Fakes" section of the image gallery. -
Ah, you went realistic. I couldn't help myself, and made things insane and Final Fantasy-esque. One of the sketches got so huge and ridiculous, I had to make it a polearm just so it would make sense balance-wise.
-
Yeah, I started thinking about it more and drew up a few sketches, I'll scan and upload them in a sec. Until then, the basic look is something kind of tech/cyberpunk, like this: But thinner, and double-bladed like this: with electricity arcing between the two blades. I've got a basic idea of how it should look, but I'm having trouble finding a balance between an angular cyberpunk sword and something more curved to match the aesthetic of the Tesla coil. I definitely like the circuit board pattern engraved in the blades, though.
-
To differentiate from inFamous 2's Amp, might I suggest replacing the two coils with a single Tesla coil? It would look more unique and the coil could serve as a hand guard. Actually, it might be better to just make two weapons, if you're so inclined, because as I was typing this I thought of how awesome an electric broadsword with a Tesla coil hand guard would be.

GTA 5 in the Lost and Dammed??

Yeah, they have a bunch of those signs in the game. They have a sign for all the GTA cities, if I remember correctly. -
You could just buy a card for Microsoft Points/whatever they're called on PS3. Back when there were actually things to download, I would just buy a 4000 point card and be good for the year. I think I had to buy two cards for 2009, though. Lot of DLC that year.
-
Yeah, the only people that will see this art are people that pick up a download card from Gamestop. Unlike Fallout 3, you won't be able to buy the DLC on a disc until the GOTY Edition comes out (around October, I imagine). I really don't know what the point of buying a download card is, though, aside from wanting to give your money to Gamestop instead of Microsoft or Sony.

There isn't. Yakuza, couple of outlaw motorcycle clubs, and a bunch of identical native gangs. They never make cities look stupid. They make fun of the vast amount of idiots and scumbags (every city's got 'em) and leave normal people alone. I mean, they didn't make NYC or Miami or LA look stupid, they just made fun of the assholes in the city. New Orleans would make a great setting, although, between the voodoo practitioners and alleged inbred swamp people, it might not work so well with R*'s sudden hard-on for realism.
-
Well, Hawaii only has the 43rd highest number of murders as of 2009. Louisiana was the highest as of 2009, so if we're going solely on murders, then New Orleans is the way to go. As far as crime in general, Nevada was the highest last year, so that's Las Vegas/Las Venturas. Hawaii's crime mostly consists of tourists getting mugged. Having Hawaii as GTA V's setting would be more about having the game take place in an interesting city than having it take place in a city with tons of crime. For example, St. Louis, Missouri was the most dangerous city in America last year, but it wouldn't be a good GTA setting because the city itself is boring as shit. They've got one notable landmark, and even that one sucks. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but, yeah...
-
Someone would turn it into GTA V in no time.
-
Hawaii would be good, the only downside is that the second they announced it was taking place in Hawaii, the forums would be flooded with "OMG i want shraks adn be abel 2 surf!!!1!111eleven!" And things of that nature.

Anything that wasn't shown or said in the Qore episode, people are just pulling from info the Vault has on the cancelled Fallout 3 by Black Isle. It's a pretty safe bet that Obsidian will be using most of the stuff they didn't get to use in their Fallout 3. Also, I'm pretty sure the part about altering your looks is straight from someone from Obsidian, it's accurate. I think it might be a new perk that allows you to change your looks, actually.

What are you looking for in GTA5?
Massacre replied to Qdeathstar's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
After dating Michelle/Karen in GTA IV, for a while I thought that all the girlfriends would have a brief story and a few missions to do involving them. Kiki's (the jealous stalker, for those who don't remember) story would have been fun. You'd have to avoid her like you avoid the cops; taking sudden turns, speeding into parking garages to switch cars, jumping off a bridge and swimming away, etc. If they continue using dating as a side activity, they need to do it this way. Aside from a few funny stories, I got nothing out of buying my girlfriend a burger and driving her home to watch the camera bob around while the controller vibrated.
