Anybody excited about this game? I love first person adventure games ,and I haven't played a decent horror game in a while. I can't think of a lot of games where you get chased by a serial killer. I like how you can use the PS move as a torch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOiSosEiNyE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-ipV0lBnmU

This open-world game from Square Enix looks action packed. Here's the official site but you might just want to check out this gameplay video first to see what it's offering, hand-to-hand combat looks pretty decent plus because it's set in Hong Kong you get to drive on the correct side of the road. Release date: August 14th 2012.

Ok so i've had my 320GB Ps3 slim for a few years now it's still working good but with GtaV coming out in September and figuring how many Ps3s have bit the dust due to overheating (that's how i lost my big old 80GB). I was thinking it would be a good idea to get an auxiliary cooling system one of those triple fan set ups. So my questions are, has anyone ever used one of these set ups? is it worth it? is there anything else i can do to reduce heat buildup?

Okay superusers, I would like to ask for some help in making a choice in consoles (and communities.) I am normally a PC gamer, who has been sort of forced to go Mac. Obviously, gaming on a mac is horrible outside of Blizzard titles. So I am ready to get my first console since I bought my PS2; which I got exclusively because I saw GTA SA gameplay and fell madly and passionately in love. Bought my PS2 the next day acctually. In fact, I only played a few other titles on that great console. Anyways, around the time that GTA 4 was coming out, I was ready to upgrade to the 360 or PS3 when I got my girlfriend pregnant and consequently went back to university to finish my degree and obviously had no money to spend on things like this. So I missed much of the console war shake-out. Imagine I am a time traveler who looked out the window once or twice: I know that Blu-Ray won the HD format battle, and vaguely know that DLC came out for the XBOX crowd and either later or never for the PS3 crowd, and that the PSN was hacked to shit multiple times, and that there are more subscribers to MSN than PSN. Okay. So now I am getting all excited for GTA 5 and finally getting to play GTA 4 and the awesome looking DLC, which I have struggled mightily to avoid learning too much about to allow me a great experience when I finally get to play. I need to decide which console to buy and which community to buy into. Here are my questions: 1: There was a time delay for releasing the content for the PS3, and MSN users got it first. According to what I read on wikipedia, there was a 14 month delay between the initial release of the "Lost and the Damned" on XBOX and when they released it all for PS3 users. SO::: Should I expect a similar time lag for getting GTA 5 DLC this time around on PS3 or was that a one-time arrangement? Do we have information on content exclusivity for this title? 2: Is there a significant difference in the communities and community experience between the two consoles? Can anyone tell me what, if any, multiplayer communities exist and are they a major part of the post-initial gameplay/playthrough? 3: Are netflix subscriptions included in the sub fees or is it just that the sub fees allow you to use the console in place of say, a Roku for a Netflix Streaming you already purchase? 4: Finally, beyond GTA, is there a significant difference in title quality/libraries? The exclusives didn't really make me cringe, I do think Uncharted looks fun but XBOX seems to have more exclusives. I don't give a fuck about HALO, btw. Is there more DLC in the MSN? Based on the knowledge Microsoft will have of the online community world and the seemingly prominent relationship between Rockstar and Microsoft I am leaning X Box right now. Thanks in advance, Families!

My son saved up and bought his own PS3 which he was really proud of doing. He got the AC3 500GB package deal that came with a couple of "classics", Uncharted and Just Cause 2. He also got the Jak and Daxter Collection as it was his favourite when he was younger. So he starts playing J&D and there are no issues at all but then he switched to AC3 and the graphics got a bit shitty, the edges of characters were frayed, movement was a bit blurred so I fucked around with the TV's settings and managed to make the game playable. It still plays up now and again but I heard that AC3 was a bit glitchy anyways. He also rented Black Ops 2 and it was perfect with no graphics issues at all.. The real problem is with the "classics" - I can not do anything to make these games playable - the graphics are just too blurry and "slow". These aren't the original games but the platinum or whatever versions., which leads me to ask, are these platinum versions made in anyway differently to the original?? And in a way that would cause these problems? Any advice appreciated

Having been looking out for a good WW2 espionage type game for some time I finally found one that offered everything I was looking for - Sniper Elite V2. You play as Karl Fairburne an elite US sniper sent behind enemy lines into Berlin during the final moments of the second world war. With the Russians tightening their grip around the city (what's left of it) several top figures in the German V2 rocket program look likely to fall into their hands. Your mission is to aid those figures keen to defect to the Allies, and to whack those thought likely to defect to the Russians. For my first playthrough I opted to use the Custom Difficulty setting (knew exactly what I wanted after hammering the demo on PS3) rather than go with the usual Easy, Medium or Hard (Cadet, Marksman, Sniper Elite). You can choose between 3 difficulty settings for Enemy Skill, Ballistic Realism and Tactical Assistance - in a nutshell I chose to have an alert enemy, no scope interference such as bullet drop, wind etc and turned off all the Tactical Assistance such as enemy markers and onscreen pointers which tell you which direction bullets are coming from etc. Although the story is predictable the action isn't, far from it. If you decide to play with the settings I chose then be prepared to die, a lot! The place is being overrun with ruskies knocking out the last remnants of the German army and you'll often find yourself in the middle of their street battles. You've got a pair of binoculars for scanning your suroundings and they can be a life saver because enemy snipers and machinegunnners can sometimes be a bastard to spot until it's too late, about 3 bullets in your torso in quick succession means you're going back to the last checkpoint and that can be a pisser if you've been crawling on your belly for the last half hour. There's no loading screen or anything when you press 'Retry' - it puts you immediately back in the action. There are the usual weapons you'd expect to find in a WW2 game which you can swap and change either by finding caches or stealing from the dead. To use your sniper rifle effectively you need to watch your heart rate so you have a better chance of getting off a steady shot. If you find yourself running for cover when the shit suddenly hits the fan your heart will be pounding and take longer to calm down than if you were creeping/crouching around. The silenced pistol obviously allows you to whack people without attracting attention but if you drop him and his body is spotted by one of his mates he'll grass you up to the rest and then you've got a problem so try to throw the stiff over your shoulder and hide it in a corner somewhere, that way Klaus and Boris will just scratch their heads wondering where the fuck he went. You can also do the old sneak attack by grabbing them from behind and snapping their necks - if you've done a good job of sneaking up on them while they're having a doze you can also do it from the front. If you're sitting off observing the enemy while deciding how to advance it's always a good idea to cover your arse by laying down land mines or tripwires so you can hear (with a bang) anyone sneaking up on you. The killcam which follows your on-target sniper rounds (but not all) through the air is awesome and I can honestly say I thought it might get old after a while but I've played over 24 hours so far and I'm still loving it. It's possible to get some really long shots off and with the killcam following your spinning lump of lead through the air giving you some great views of your surroundings it's really satisfying to see the damage you inflict on the victim. There's a trophy for shooting someone through the eye which funnily enough I got with my very first shot. You can also ricochet bullets off solid objects and it's sometimes possible to bounce one off a wall into some unlucky bastard hiding round a corner. Anyway, if you liked the original Call Of Duty, Metal Gear Solid, The Saboteur and Black then you'll probably enjoy this, it's kind of like all those titles rolled into one - to me anyway. Took me over 14 hours to complete the main story but I was absolutely milking the fact you could take as long as you wanted and how you wanted. There are so many different ways to do the same mission plus online multiplayer co-op (which I tried earlier - best with a mic) and challenges. There's a available now plus more DLC on the way apparently so there's lots of replay value in it if this is your thing. If you're in any doubt, try the demo on either PS3. Xbox 360 or PC.

So I'm trying to play Max Payne 3 on the PS3 and whenever I have to press the triangle to inspect things or open doors the button doesn't work at all. I figured out that the only way to make it work is to press the > directional button AND the triangle simultaneously - not hold one then press the other, actually hit both buttons at the same time. Anyone ever had this problem? It won't work at all and only happens to me on Max Payne 3 started happening since I threw Max Payne 3 in, it was working fine before on games like L.A. Noire.

So I don't think there is a topic on this, at least nothing came up when I typed in "console". Anyway it's straightforward... What console(s) do you own? Would be interesting to see how it's divided. For the PC option I mean for gaming, because almost everyone has a PC. I only included the major 3 of the current generation as well.

Its probably not going to happen for money reasons, but here is my case of why i think it should. 1 XBOX will hold the game back. The PS3 can go alot further than XBOX in terms of how much more can be put in the game because the PS3 is more advanced (I guess releasing the console later payed off in the long run). http://www.ign.com/articles/2010/08/26/xbox-360-vs-playstation-3-the-hardware-throwdown *my proof from ign* 2 PS3 is the present and the future of this generation of consoles. Many people are ditching the XBOX for a PS3. (at least who I have talked to) and the ps3 is predicted to pass the 360 in sales sometime in the next year. Do you agree? Disagree? Any other reasons you can add to my list? Also, 360 fanboys, please don't get all pissy about this, it's just my opinion and it probably won't happen anyway.
