Guest Marney-1 Report post Posted August 26, 2012 Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has praised the country's athletes who won medals at the 2012 London Olympic Games in a ceremony held in Tehran. On Saturday night, Ahmadinejad thanked the Iranian Olympians and their coaches for helping the country achieve its best showing ever at the Olympics. Iran finished in 17th place in this year’s Olympics, with a tally of four gold, five silver, and three bronze medals. Each Iranian gold medalist will receive 200 gold coins as a reward. The silver medalists will receive 150 gold coins, and the bronze medalists will receive 100 gold coins. Props to Iran!
